I was crushed when you said it was tea. Fastest smile to frown in history.
Me too! It was pretty funny tho😂😂
"And in our last drawer we have a phat bag of weed" 🤣🤣🤣
;)
😂😂😂
You know that’s weed stuffed in empty tea packaging so when they are in non legal states they claim it’s just tea.
Everything is better with a bag of weed…
Friends are great for covering up the dents in our lives!
Love the truck!
Cute ;) thank you!!
Very well done! I love this generation, they use the word "yeah" peppered into their conversations.
That's great, probably the best bed/living room dual purpose system to go with, thanks for sharing the example and cheers!
Well done. My gf and I renovated an old Avion Trailer a few years back and ended selling it nearly complete because we just couldn’t commit to the work. Congrats on the build especially with setting up all the electrical- that was the crux for me…
Thanks bro!!! I had some good mentors.
I'm a carpenter and both of you did such an amazing job. I'm so impressed with what you achieved. Your video work is great too
Thank you so much!
I'm so jealous. Always wanted to do this, even as a little girl back in the 1960's when all there was were truck campers. A real reflection on how great your relationship is to be able to work together to complete such an involved project together. I've got most of the interior components, but no truck. Now I'm not so keen on driving anymore, so I guess I need to find someone to drive it for me. Maybe I'll convert a room in my house into a tiny house just for the fun of it. I'm big on minimalism and seeing just how much power you can get with very little energy use. These RV's are showing us just how little energy it takes to survive on. Hopefully they will be models for future home building in view of our current climate emergency.
Oh yes, if you're going to do a lot of traveling, you might want a better lock for your door.
I bought the same fridge to use in a tiny home along with an induction cooktop. Your build is amazing. Perfect for my needs.
The attention to detail is great.
Wow love the bed, it gives you so much more place !
It really does!!
“A fat bag of weed” 😂😂 nice tiny home!🌺❤️
Hehe thanks :)
Very beautiful build.i love how spacious your tiny home is.. The safety door is a must and it has a gorgeous stain as window. Safe travels on the road...
Thanks so much Toni!!!!
Great build!, so organized👌
Thank you! Working on another build now. Same layout roughly with a few improvements. Stay tuned for that video!
love it all, safety suggestion ac outlets should be turned with ground up that way no accidently shorts and your plugs near water should be eGFI type to trip at outlet if wet.
Fabulous, what a good use of space. Love the bed, great to have the seating separated
Yessss thank you :)
how much height do you have underneath the bed? when its up, and how long is the bed, I'm considering doing a similar bed, your build is awesome good luck on your travels!
Could NEVER live with such a TINY sink ?
A very well thought-out build. Great attention to all the little details that make it a comfortable home. Enjoy your journey.
Thank you so much! 😊🙏
That's a sweet van
Thank you!! To the moon!
6:48 - So let’s say you’re sleeping (real hard) at night and your cat or dog just happens to lean up against that “UP” button. Will that be the end of you ….or is there like a ‘safety stop sensor’ ???? 🤭😳
We travel in a motorhome.i use tension curtain rods in cupboards so they help hold things when you open the doors. Love your build TRAVEL SAFE🎉🎉
I just started mine and y'all giving ideas!! Great job on the build you guys. Much love and hope to see y'all on the road 🤙🏾🖤🤙🏾🖤
Siiiick build!! I completely love how it came out!
Thank you Anton!
Wow so beautiful can’t wait to see more traveling videos
Thank you! Stay tuned for our Yosemite video coming soon!
Awe you guys are so cute and so is your box truck!! You did a great job and I even took a few notes for my van. Thanks
Thank you so much ❤️🙏 let us know if any questions arise during your build :) happy to help!
I love it!! I'm glad you are living your dreams right now!!
Harry and Lyss... what to tell you, guys: FAN - TAS - TI - C gorgeous simple & functional design !!! A huge free flowing space with "homy sensation" everywhere on each detail chosen by you 👏 Loved the different wood textures and colors allover the place. May the Universe bless your adventures & trails around the World ✨🙏
Very Nice Camper Build...it is 'SUPER GROOVY'...love it
Right on! :) thanks for watching
Really cool build, well thought-out details (like the windows only on one side) and beautiful work. But no deep fryer, bowling ball collection or scorpion tank? LOL
Basil … my late father’s name🙏🏼 He would both approve and wonder why you quit taking your meds to name him Basil😂 Great build and video!
Great video, you guys did a fantastic job, love the cushions. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Thank you Eric! Happy New Year, many blessings 🙏
Beautiful home! By far my fave home on wheels I have seen! Love your finishes! I just love the whole vibe and style of it. Most I have seen have been very bright funky colors but yours is neutral, very nice. Do you guys stay in obe place or travel around? Im considering getting a tiny house but I dont know if I would stay in obe place or constantly move, I would appreciate your input. Thank you. Great vid too! I love how you too stick to showing your home and not babbling about nonsense like most utubers do!
Thanks so much for the love! We traveled around in it. Definitely recommend a tiny home on wheels versus something stationary. Much more freedom! Are you thinking of building or buying one?
Beautifully build please review the zero breeze! Interesting how you're using it
Reviewed it in our new video, check it out!

@@harryandlyss Thank you 🙏
Incredible job friends!!! Love it!! Can’t wait to cross paths out on the road💚
Thank you so much! Much love y'all!!! Xo
Yes I'm Lovin your little home on wheels
Great work, It's Super Groovy!
Gracias :) !!!!
Believe me life is beautiful, all you need to do is enjoy everything you do in life the rest is vanity, very Good guys continue loving and enjoy money is not everything good luck, God bless
Amen! Thank you for these sweet words ❤️🙏
Thanks for showing us your van. Great job. I like that Happijac lift bed. I will have a look at their website to see if I can fit one in our van. Have a great day.
This build is awesome! Seriously such a great job
Thank you so much Kellie!!! :)
Beautiful build, but you may want to reconsider the wirenuts and solid wire/romex. Over time the solid conductor will break and wire nuts will loosen. Of course, if you're driving on highways it may not be that big of a deal. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your journey!
Question: how comfortable are the front seats?
Thank you for your helpful advice! We appreciate it and will definitely take it into consideration. Highways for the most part as the vehicle isn't 4x4 so we try to keep it smooth :) The front seats are super comfortable but we want to get them upholstered because the arms are falling apart lol so that is on the to-do list!
Awesome built out! Currently working on my box truck conversion. Do you mind giving me a ballpark on how much the bed lift was? They don't have any pricing on their website!
Hey there! Epic!!! Let us know if we can help you in anyway. We are LOVING the box truck life :) The HappiJac was about $1,700... worth every penny though!
@@harryandlyss thanks so much and glad you're having a great time so far! That seems like it would be worth every penny. I've been looking into building one using garage door lifters but this looks way more straightforward! And after all the cost and time...
What about when you are boondocking and don't have power or even have power issues...how would you get your bed down😳
I must've missed it, but how much solar do you need/have to run the AC, the heater, and the bed lift?
Sick van!!
Thank you!! Feel free to share!
Love this! ❤
I like how you guys made a hatch to get into the car.......... I think that's one thing that is a must, at least for me, being able to hop into the driver seat and take off should there be an emergency (and you know what I mean). Those that uses a truck to trailer their RV, I don't know how they have peace of mind sleeping at night in the trailer, essentially being trapped with no means of a quick getaway. Anyway, isn't there a gap between the car itself and the actual enclosed living area..... if so, how did you go about making it work? Would have loved to see a more detailed look at it as these box trucks that comes stock don't have that kind of access, I don't think.
absolutely beautiful build; y'all clearly worked hard and it shows. not gonna have much "stealth" with a mural and bike on the back though lol
Thank you! Lots of blood, sweat and tears fasho haha. Stealth went out the window as soon as we put in the windows and mural but it’s okay - it’s actually been working out pretty well and we haven’t gotten much attention!
Totally inspiring! You've come a long way in such a short time, Harry! Excited for ya! Also reaching out to see if there's a world where you'd be open to sharing any of your brilliance now that SignRequest isn't taking it all up ;)
Best part of the video... 14:36
haha ;)
Good job! Do you mind sharing the total cost of the truck plus the build? It would help me with perspective as I think about my own adventure. Thanks.
Very nice build
What a perfect build
Hey thank you :)
Basil is beautiful. Best of luck to you.
Thank you so much ❤
Fantastic job! I love my box truck stealth conversion!
Wahooooo!
Very nice build. Love the A/C idea! Definitely using that!
We can get you a discount code, if you'd like!
Love your build would love to see a fallow up like others have posted to see if there is anything you will change.... Most change to a much larger sink sorry just have been doing research on a lot of builds for my future.
We actually sold Basil the Box truck and are currently building out another box truck!!
Well done guys
1Thank you!
Great job !!
Thank you!!
If y'all care about each other's dreams.i hope it stays that way!
Omg!!! Your home is beautiful!!!👠🚌👠
Thank you so much!!!:)
Great build.
Thank you Gwendolyn:)
Beautiful one ❤ just put mirror full size in inner side of your closet
Yes!! That’s the only thing that’s missing - full size mirror ;)
😍🥰
Cool, It looks awesome guys.!
As you spend time living in it daily, you will probably find things that you will change, add or things you haven't thought of. It would be interesting to find out if there are things you would add, delete or design differently.
Check out our new video!

Nice
love it !!
great build. inspiring
Thank you 🙏 :)
Love from the ascended trader zoom fam
yew yewww!!! Much Love Fam! to the moon!
It’s the “fat bag of weed” 4 me😂😂
really lovey van. How did you attached the IKEA cabinets to the walls?
We just screwed them in!!
Amazing, this is almost exactly what I'm looking to build myself. What was the total cost of the van and build?
About $25k total!
Really sweet build. Very well thought out. You really thought out your energy needs to match up with your energy system. Having a/c is amazing for a tiny mobile home. Great water capacity as well. The stained glass window is especially beautiful!
Absolutely! And thank you! Our friend made it for us :)
Very pretty!
Thank you!!
Beautiful job on “Basil”. Love everything, I think you guys thought of everything......does the air work good or not worth the trouble? Also I am in love with the stain glass window!!!!!!....beautifully decorated.......Amazing Job guys!
Thank you Kathy! The air works well but we prefer to use the vent fan as it saves energy. We probably could’ve saved $1,000 and not gotten the air conditioning but hopefully it’ll come in handy someday - maybe in Florida! We talk more about it in our new video:
ua-cam.com/video/ehLrd7-Cc8c/v-deo.html
Thanks again! Our friend handmade the stained glass piece in Minnesota ☺️
Hey...I am doing research before I buy to self build, would love to know about mileage and driveablity. Thanks for all you do!
Hi! We get about 9-10 mph.... pretty rough but still cheaper than rent ;)
@@harryandlyss thank you!!!
If you take the table top off does the bed drop lower ?
With all that unused wall space above the couch cushions I would of added on big window but without it I still like what you have done .,
Love Harry's lil knob >>>LOL
Yes if we take off the table, the bed drops as low as the benches. We utilized the wall space for a “national parks” push pin map and white board so no unused wall space anymore! :)
We also didn’t want any windows there just because of safety reasons.
basil is the best!!
Yewwwww!
Wow learned so much from your video, electrical looked overwhelming until you shared the info on the course so maybe it's doable for a newbie like me w/out experience, I'm still searching for my Basil, alot of box trucks are diesel but heard they do not work well in colder climates/Alaska, what are you guys using for the heating system? Now that it's been a year any thougths on pros/cons anything you would've done differently? I'm blown away at your accomplishment great teamwork and job well done! Do you guys have an email or alt contact to stay in touch?
the webasto or eberspacher "airtop" diesel heaters both worked great for us! We used the eberspacher in our second build which you'll find on our channel! The layout was pretty perfect for our needs, so not much would've been different! You can find us on Instagram @harryhods and @lysssanicole or through our email harryandlyss@gmail.com. Thanks for your support!!
LMAO 🤣 “fat bag of weed” (I’m going to subscribe)
That is awesome. My first apartment was worse, haha
Hello, what’s the length from the partition door to the roll up door??
It’s 14ft but we don’t have a roll up door!
Thanks for the info. I’m planing for a cargo trailer conversion myself.
What kind of truck is that and what is the length of the living space?
1990 Ford Econoline Box Truck - it’s the old Kawasaki jet ski team vehicle. It’s about 16ft inside the box
my great granma's lino!
SUPERR FELICITACIONES.....!!!
New sub from ohio ur video is great keep em coming u both rock!!
Thank you!!!
"And in this bag we have a fat bag of weed..."😂 " just kidding it's spearmint tea"
what kind of box truck did you use?
Would it be possible for y’all to make a video on finding your box truck and places you looked for vans/mobile home
Really love the build too!!
Yes absolutely!
Check out our new video, we answer your question!!
ua-cam.com/video/ehLrd7-Cc8c/v-deo.html
What are your van specs, I dont remember you mentioning. What length is the box?
The box is 16ft including the over cab! 14ft just the box not including the cab. The whole vehicle is probably 20-21ft
Awesome setup, how much was the build overall? If you mind me asking 😁
About $20,000 but we could’ve done it a lot cheaper we learned!
That’s funny 😆 I wish
Where did you buy the bamboo plates from? 1st time I've watched your video.
Hey Alan! Thanks for watching! They are from Ekobo - by-ekobo.us/
I did sub.. I am a single 75 year old man that lives in Michigan.
Just wanted to ask how old the 2 of you are if that's not prying too much. You both sound like you are very well grounded.
@@alanwondergem2105 That’s very kind of you! Alyssa is 25, Harry is 27 :)
Have to put a screen on the exhaust fan
Nice mural! Love the kitchen storage and the happi jac. Beautiful cab door. I subscribed. Question: What's a one-wheeler?
Thank you!!!! A one wheel is basically an electric skateboard but with 1 wheel haha
14:36 Considering the circumstances and type of toilet: a huge amount.
If there is more you want him to say, something you need to know, ask.
@@offairhead I don't have anything to ask, but my comment still stands. There's a lot you can say about a toilet.
It was more of a cheeky joke than a factual statement. I could definitey go into it more.
@@thehodson i was also not being totally serious
How did you get insurance for this vehicle? (Thanks in advance for any advice)
We used Lisa Trapp from State Farm in Encinitas, CA!
Might want to make fire extinguisher easier to get to
Been waiting for the tour for so long!!! Congtats you two!
YEWWW!!!!
❤️❤️❤️
What the gas mileage?? And how heavy is it with the water filled.
About 10mph which is pretty rough and it weighs 10,000lbs
Hey guys! Would it be possible to know the dimensions of the living space in your van before the conversion? Take care
Hey Charles, the box is 14ft long!
Awesome walkthroughg guys! How much did the van cost and the build out cost?
The truck was $8k and the buildout was about $25k ish. We wish we would’ve done it cheaper with more upcycled materials but we learned a lot!
@@harryandlyss it's a nice set up you got! Definitely learn a lot by building one. Good for you guys. Following along 🤙🏻
