@Chr1stown MST3K stands for Mystery Science Theater 300 and it was a show from a while back where they'd play bad and cheap to license movies/public domain movies and riff on them for fun. Usually done by a guy and his robot puppet buddies

Fun fact: Bella Lugosi died during the making of this stream. When you see some guy hiding his face with a cape, that's actually Jerma finishing his scenes.

I heard somewhere that the one detective in Plan 9 intentionally was being unsafe with the gun to see if Ed Wood would call him out on it. That's why he keeps pointing it in everyone's faces and scratching himself with it. Some of the other actors have small reactions to it but they don't say anything so I'm assuming they would've been in on the joke.
Or maybe they were just doing their jobs as actors and staying in character

This was probably a significant portion of the audience's first experience with older movies.
Thankfully I'm one of a handful of zoomers who has a huge collection of Hollywood movies from back when they were good.
By the amount of people who requested Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, I truly doubt it it was that big of a majority. I'm glad some got exposed to it. Jerma will never watch Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis on stream though, which is a shame.

Sometimes the funniest part of a Jerma bit is listening to Jerma giggling to himself in the background. Like, the added sound effects on the leach movie were fucking hilarious, but I laughed even harder hearing Jerma laughing at it too

I don't know, but I do know that Bela Lugosi actually died during the filming of this movie, so some scenes are a different actor guy.
Its cause the footage was filmed before the rest of the movie. Ed wood, the director, had footage of him and promoted plan 9 from outer space as bela lugosi's last film. He died before the movie was made.
That's absolutely insane. Did you know that Bela Lugosi also died halfway to production of Plan 9 and that's why the vampire sometimes covers his face?

I actually laughed when Curly uppercut the guy and he ascended, then they cut to the ceiling fan... that's just good stuff.
