Imagine, you're in a plane, flying over the ocean, a pretty nominal flight. Then, the captain just comes over the intercom like:
"Folks, this is your captain speaking, and I must say that I have *never* seen such favorable sea conditions for ditching!"

Love watching on youtube, if only because I finally have proof that I am not the only one listening to plane crash podcasts

I used to look forward to when Gus would talk about aircraft incidents on the RT podcast and I love that now I get to hear Gus geek out about planes every week

They did recover both pilots and an flight attendant, all of whom had bruises consistently with being strapped into their seats upon impact, something that was absent from most of the passengers

The Boeing 377 is based on the WW2 aircraft B-29 and the improved B-50. The B-29 was known for overheating engines (do to its rushed development during WW2) that were improved with the B-50.
There is only one 377 still in service, that’s the Super Guppy that NASA uses to move bulky rocket components.

It's interesting to compare an incident of Pan Am #6 ditching the year before while flying the return route to San Francisco. The Boeing Stratocruiser had occasional problems with runaway propellers forcing engine shutdowns forcing more than one ditching over the years. See the history guy: ua-cam.com/video/FqRAOvz71B0/v-deo.html

What if William Payne was trying to run away to Honolulu and start a new life? Back then maybe you could outrun debt.

Why would he take out all those life insurance policies and fire insurance for his hotel which then burnt down right beforehand ?

You didn’t mention the suicidal mentally ill pursuer who also took out a life insurance policy the day before he left on the plane and changed his will disowning his daughter whom he blamed got his wife’s death leaving his will in the glove box of his car

This is definitely a weird crash. I would say that I hope the passengers died painlessly, but it doesn't seem like it.....
    Thanks for the great podcast!

Yeah why not research United 401 that crashed into the mountains and Montana while a minger whatever it was the largest airplane domestic airline crash up to that time the one that superseded it was the next United flight that got blown up by some sun or did his mother ran but this 1 the bodies were reddish and color which would signify some sort of car monoxide eye the plane was seen porpoising around with no real cruel inaction and there were several pilots as passengers so had they been aware of what was going on they would have seized control of the Earth Craft by the way it hit the mountain and idle speed so it wouldn't when the when the when the mountain came in view they wouldn't know attempt to go for a full throttle to go over it please research this one let me know what you want to think

I like the subject matter - but not necessarily the complete lack of research. 🤷‍♂️
