I am lucky enough to live in Vadodara (Only 30 kms from Anand) Jab mann ho yahi dairy mein khana khane and ice creams khane aa jata hu friends ke saath. Inke pass chocolates ki incredible variety hai and all of them are truly world class! And yes inki colddrink amul tru ka taste hi kuch alag hai. Very unique and pleasing in taste.... Inke dinner, fast foods and lunch ki quality and taste bhi bahut badhiya hai. Last but not the least Anand as a city is a very cool and nice city. It's full of greenery, no hustle and bustle like usual metro cities, very less pollution, very clean and also one will find mostly young and dynamic, College going crowd over here, Because of the famous vallabh vidyanagar university.

Amul has distribution and reach... Har jagah amul ki ice cream, milk aur butter mil sakta hai toh bhai baaki products kyun nahi mil sakte ....there are some of these things available in Chandigarh. But the stock is very limited. Most of the department store vendors don't keep because of lack of margins and lack of availability of products from factories. Amul needs to test products which work and ramp up their production on those rather than ..making a wide variety of products but producing less of each.

This amul foodland store chain is only operat by Amul exclusively, they have not accepted franchise model yet , but they are expanding slowly, they have opened some new outlet , one of them is located at near "statue of unity" and , yes this anand outlet is very popular in Anand.
Don't compare Nandini buttermilk, milk is thick than water mixed amul, ice cream of nandini along with milk products are best and nandini ghee has no comparison with any other brand.
Every evening I buy milk from this Amul parlor as it's just walking distance from my house. There is one Restaurant and a conveniency store just above this Amul parlor which is also Run by Amul.
