@@Born2BFree I care about you sister, but you need a community of people who can help you and you can help them or you will continue to have problems going forward. Not sure what you mean by damage control colonizer😂. Single American women of older ages are being killed "mysteriously" in the Gambia, that's what the other commenter was warning you about..
I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I in order to be part of something, like a community or a group of people, culture, ethnicity, etc you have to learn how to interact with those people. Yes, you're a Liberian by birth but from your speaking, you've been gone for a very long time. Which mean your American culture is more of your culture than your Liberian culture. Your American culture is what's going to show most of the time than your Liberian side. For example, I think you might have handled the sweat shirt thing wrong. In Liberia, when they washes white clothes, they often put it in blue dye. Idk while, but i know I used to do it as well before moving to America lol. I don't think she purposefully dye your hoody with illed intentions. You cut off speech with her, especially when she speaks to you is not a good move towards her. Might be part of why they call you congua lady. Them calling you American is often not meant to insult you. It's just something they do. My own mother calls me white man lol because I'm from America and I am not close to light before I say white lol. My fiance is Liberian and some people, even her mom calls her a Congua woman lol because She's very particular about how she does things like not ever leaving her plates or silverware anywhere. Most of the time it's all jokes and we laugh about it. Maybe you're just being an American. In America we tends to stress about a whole lot of things that most cultures don't stress about. And when u do that living in Liberia, they'll see you as different or calls you a Congua or American woman. However, I'm sure there are lots of things that you love, hence why you are still there. Wish you the best and hope things improve for ya.
Im blk American man who stay in Nigeria and i experienced the same thing with some African women and im still hear collecting my $ from the USA..not saying i cant die but some folks just be selling wolf tickets
Sister, you left Tanzania, then you left Ghana, and now you're in Liberia and you're having problems with people there. What's up with that? Is Africa for you?
In our Liberian english way: You have now become a congau woman(Kwee), know where to live and who to move with. Dont go too low. They will try to bring you down, especially the women.
That’s not necessarily true. I was born in Liberia to two native parents. Congau/Congo applies to free slaves descendants/Americo-Liberians and other foreigners. Furthermore, my middle and last name is clearly native.❤️🔥
@@Born2BFree You are not getting my point sis. When you are civilized or educated and decide to behave as such we say that woman that congau or kwee woman. That's what I mean. In reality the congau were those captured slaves who never made it to the US, whereas the repatriated slaves from the US are the Americo Liberians.
@@Born2BFree Wow! Let me do a little lecture: There are 3 groups of Liberians: 1. The native. People the settlers met here, 2. The Americo-Liberians or settlers. They were free men who returned to Africa. They established Liberia, 3. The congo or Congau as we call it. These were slaves taken from various shores like Nigeria,Ghana,To go,Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Congo area. But predominantly Congo. They were being taken to the Americas when the Anti slavery task force from both the US and Liberia arrested the ships and brought them to settle in Liberia. They couldn't return to their ancestral lands. Most spread in Congo town, Paynesville,Caldwell, and other places. But in Liberia ,the native put both the Americos and Congos into one group and call them congau people. After the civil war if a native man was educated and westernized/civilized, people call you kwee or Congau man or woman just for the fun. Hope this clarifies my statement and give you more insight.
Even relatives are dangerous at times. Fence your house. Know who to employ to help with house chores. Get yourself some dogs(2-4). Voila you are safe.
Im a Liberian but i wouldnt want to live in a communal area sharing a yard, well, and clothing line with locals other than possibly family, as someone just moving back into the country. Lots of stories of single women being targeted in African or developing countries because they seem vulnerable. But i know the housing situation is not that great yet, decent apartments might be pricey, and building your own with fenced in yard will take time. Liberians seem to get offended when you dont speak koloqua which is not right and they need to get over that. Koloqua is pidgin English and why should you tell me how to speak my English? Especially if i lived outside the country for long. Our people can be mouthy so i wouldnt fall into too much back and forth and just playoff some of the comments. They are trying hard to figure you out.
Initially, I requested a gated compound because I love my privacy.Furthermore, I was informed that the property running water and since the place was recently renovated they were just fixing few things which is very common In Africa. Not to mention fencing around the property- which is currently being done. Interesting, I ’ve never met a Liberian that gets offended when I don’t speak Koloqua. If anything, they like hearing the American accent and comparing different terms. Firstly, I’m never alone throughout my travels In Africa- especially now that I’m home. I love mouthy people. My mouth is equally or often times sharper than theirs. I will not be suppressed or oppressed by any parasite in my own country.❤️🔥
@@Born2BFree hopefully you get the privacy aspect that you initially wanted. Maybe "offended" is the wrong word but you did say someone was mentioning how you speak and how they can speak like you if they wanted to. Also i always hear them saying people should just speak koloqua instead of "series" whenever someone is not speaking broken English. Ive observed that a lot online. Glad to hear not everyone is like that. Thats cool you enjoy the banter with some of our mouthy people and can keep up lol. Also why did they say you shouldnt eat the country rice?
By the end of February you need to be gone away from there, if you can afford to do so. Do not waste your time and energy with foolishness. There is nothing to gain by fighting with these people in that environment. It's all about you having your peace in a safe environment, unless you're thinking that there is some kind of value in dealing with these people.
Watching from the USA! Girl, you are beautiful, articulate and intelligent. They are jealous of you because of all that . Word: don’t fight ugly ppl, don’t fight pigs in the mud, the uglies will enjoy messing you over and the pigs will enjoy getting you dirty 😂. Listen my dear, these ppl hate us for being here and hate us even more when we return home. I am returning home but will have nothing to do with relatives because my children and I have been poisoned twice by @ family members!! Stay away and don’t argue with them. Above all find a good church to attend . The level of witchcraft in Liberia is staggering. I could go on and on! These ppl have nothing to lose. I will not be scared away by them but I’d be very careful! I have just the church for you if you are interested. God save us from our ppl🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
DISCERNMENT my Sister! Don’t be too TRUSTING! Not everyone has your best interest. Try not to have BEEF or Arguments with anyone. People can be PETTY and will HARM you.
It seems like they’re just jealous you had the opportunity to live in America that all. My Grandma is grebo and she says the mindset of the ppl is bad. The assumption they make bc you given the opportunity to live in America is crazyyyy. They’ll spew out that hatred bc they’re jealous. A lot them are not educated soo they envy u for that😂. These are the same ppl who will say they’re Christians or Muslim but treat there ppl bad bc of envy. I hopefully things get better and stay positive and don’t react with anger bc that’s what they want. They want a reaction outta you just stay away and keep your energy high and loving bc they want you to be worrying about them in your thoughts so they can have control over how you feel.
@@Born2BFree and also if you’re living in the village there’s always gonna be some issues compare to if you’re living by yourself on your own property. Try to make some connections with other YT ppl in Liberia.. or ppl who can relate/like minded as u. You don’t wanna be completely alone but you do want peace. But anyways good luck on your journey let’s things continue to get easier and better for u🫶🏾🙏🏾.
From your previous video, you said Liberia is better than Ghana so you are going why now complaining? In Ghana you have to invest into a particular business which you think you can do. Like restaurant for example
This girl! You have family there go be with them not be with random people . Look after yourself. You are not them understand this. It is extremely important. And take a break from there for heaven sake
You need a man. You seem to have these problems everywhere you go. You made videos about issues you had in Ghana/TZ aswell. The community in Africa does not respect single women (or men) who are most likely just passing through without planting roots.
You must be one of those colonizing pretentious Pan Africanist looking for land to claim that didn’t want me to come to Liberia. Who’s just passing through? All of your comments are always about needing a man to do things as if Africa doesn’t have single women. Damage control go sit down because you clearly have selective hearing.❤️🔥
I was not going to say anything because I know how much you don’t like to be told what to do.Believe you me I would never do that. But I saw something with a friend of mine recently and I was right. I did not say anything and she said I should have because I was right. I did not feel comfortable with some of the videos you showed, the vibrations were not good and it’s all unfolding now. So I am telling you as she said I should have told her, pay attention to the signs. It’s good that you did this video, like the other ladies in West Africa. Salaam
Why don't you remove yourself from the area. One lady in Gambia kept talking on UA-cam about issues she had with one person instead of removing herself. Today she is 6 foot under. She got killed. Usually when you have an issue and you take the internet to talk about it. If the person with who you have the issue knows about it, that can inflame the person against you more. It's better you remove yourself first, then talk about it. Don't stay in the same location to talk about it.
@Born2BFree I know that Liberia is your country. I didn't mean you should leave Liberia. I mean to leave this neighborhood and go live somewhere else far from this area where this person and you won't cross path. I have learned to choose my battle. My life is not worth fighting with haters. They can think they win. That's okay. I need peace, and the best way to have peace is to remove ourselves from non peaceful situations.
For your safety have moved from that house and part of you are facing is due jealousy and cultural difference and being living in the west your way of doing going to be different, not surprised that Liberia hasn't changed when it comes to tribalism thought that the civil war would have put an end to it.
Sister, why do you keep going to these backward countries. South africa, namibia, botswana, and even Nigeria would be good. But in the city's. Liberia is beautiful, but the people are something else.
Personally, I don't consider any of the countries that I've been to to be backward. I’ve heard a lot of negativity about South African and Nigeria is on my bucket list of places to visit. Furthermore, Botswana and Namibia aren't popular destination amongst the expat or repeat community. Plus I love the variety of traditional African dishes that we have that's not heavily influenced by western culture. Thanks for watching.❤️🔥
@Born2BFree l know liberia well, it used to be one of the best african countries. Not any more. Backward was probably a bit too harsh. Let me give you another suprise. My step sister aunt is married to the now x president. I actually ment backward in thinking, like in tanzania. And speak about westernized. Is there any country in Africa more westernized than liberia?
@@taharka3897 Yes, there’s a few countries more westernize than Liberia like Tanzania, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya ect… Just to add we have more traditional African cuisine than the average East African.❤️🔥

Sorry about the bad experiences I wouldnt live at that place anymore if I was experiencing all that negativity. Not sure what you mean by damage control colonizer😂. Single American women of older ages are being killed "mysteriously" in the Gambia, that's what the other commenter was warning you about..
@@Justin-wk5miwow!! So much hate!! That wasn’t necessary at all.
I, really wish I, have someone to help you.
I have a lot of help around , not to mention my family. That’s how I even found my place.❤️🔥

@@sonofdsunCaptured slaves by who and where were they capture from?
Do u have a male relative to stay with u for a while ?
Yes I do. ❤️🔥
Even relatives are dangerous at times. Fence your house. Know who to employ to help with house chores. Get yourself some dogs(2-4). Voila you are safe.

@@Born2BFree You're welcome

Why do you keep ignoring me?
Salaam
Which community in Africa ?
There are more single women in Liberia than married ones. The problem is coming from abroad.
Please let it inflame them even more. Liberia is my home country. My family, tribe and other tribes know that I’m home. ❤️🔥
Thank you so much.❤️🔥
God bless you for putting up with this kind of bull crap. You gave up your standard of living to return to Liberia, is it worth it? I think not.

Yes it’s worth it,
Sister, why do you keep going to these backward countries.
