I went and tested the positioning of the arty last night. It does not mater where the Arty is placed the range is calculated from the edge of your base in any direction.
I'm pretty sure when in base defense, all Arty and AT go off of grids from your base. I have not noticed a difference in where you place them in your lineup.
yeah, I think there's some false information in this one. your garrisoned units measure the distance from the base hex tile that's closest to your enemy and it's the other way around, too, your howitzer doesn't need to be able to attack the center of the enemy base, there just needs to be one hex tile within reach. The effective range doesn't have an effect either, sure sometimes the unit gets another shot off but as soon as it fired, your tank can be any range and it still hits no matter the effective range but then you simply are out of range. It also doesn't matter against which enemy you charge your officers' skill, it raises every 'attack' second, i.e. it only charges while your unit is shooting or reloading/preparing to shoot, not while it's getting shot.
Yea, easiest way to test it is attack a base with artillery in defense, with artillery. And you will find out its 4 grids from the edge of your base in any direction.
Doesn't matter where you place your units. Once you get attacked all units go into 'Charge' mode and the unit's range will be based on the centre of the base.
Don't use arty on bunkers. Will let adds spawn way too fast and increase losses. You can use but only when keeping out of range of the actual bunker but within range of adds.

I need help with the last battle of kursk the southern fave I have a katyusha tiger 1 su100 and sten 4 out of the 5 are level 60 while the su100 is like what level 40 and I'm just getting trial and error
i really hate to see TripleG keep giving out all the wrong information and all the previous video on TripleG when he was in Server2 XYT, i try to make all the corrections for him. however i really cant stand how he kept giving all the outdated information and wrong and misleading information about the game. All he can do is give everyone basic & newbie things, and even so, he advises wrong on some basic info too.
Its pretty much been nerfed, you can preload but its no where near what it used to be. If you preload and fire on a base the preload goes away, if you try and preload on a bunker or raven and then someone attacks your unit it will be there

The km or m number has nothing to do with the effective range whether it’s high or low. Hope this information can help." Further explanation: "The first distance is for relating it to reality. It's kind of an artificial feature which is unintentional." Also, you realize supports in this game actually do communicate with the developers about players feedback right? I've had feedbacks given to customers support being featured in official posts from the dev team. They know what they are talking about.
I was only bringing attention to the fact that customer support is not technically the devs, we as content creators also talk with the community managers and other assists asking questions about specific items. Many times we get superficial answers. I want to bring up that Lilith 3rd party contracts it’s programmers and managers ranging from its marketing/ its media/ and its design. Also the original game and code was done by wondergames in collaboration. So there are many things not apparent when you just ask a question to a 3rd party paid to represent a company. Actually hearing from the programmer who coded it would be much more helpful.

Misinformation. The km in effective range doesn't mean anything, only the grid unit does. I checked with the devs.
