Thank you for spending so much time making each video so we can travel the TRT with you. I totally understand the camaraderie of hiking with others. It does add a special feeling to the adventure. Beautiful views from your 2nd night campsite. I’m sure the morning sunrise will be spectacular. - Jiffy Pop
Awwww.❤ That is a significant part of your story. I didn't know you had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Thank you for sharing, and no wonder you love hiking!
Wow, what a BEAUTIFUL, busy bee trail! Thanks for taking us along on your walk. 💚 The AT has my heart, too. (‘22/‘23 flipper) And I’d love to hike a “short” thru hike out west. Great work!
Wow! Thank you for sharing! God has blessed you with these wonderful opportunities and just to hear about all you overcame with your childhood rheumatoid arthritis is definitely inspirational! Wow! That is crazy that you have not seen any other thru-hikers! Oh my gosh, the snow patches! What has the temperature been in the upper elevations?
Walking is a grand Privilege. I have been Type 1 Diabetic since age 6 in 1963. In 2004 I started having difficulty walking. Could trip and fall walking thru Walmart on a flat tile floor. In 2005 was confined to a wheelchair due to CIDP. It took 18 months before I was able to walk with a walker. I now walk mostly with no assistance thanks to medications. I view walking as a privilege. That is why I enjoy walking so much. 🥾🥾🥾
Very different from the AT but soooo beautiful. I love seeing you back on trail and how happy you are there. I imagine Nemo+bear can+ 4 liters of water does get heavy. Happy trekking! 🥾
My girlfriends daughter has rheumatoid arthritis and I am curious how you overcame that. Your journey is very inspiring and I think it could be inspiring to her also.
Well as I’m sure you know I’m from Germany, so once my family finally figured out (took one year) what was wrong with me, they rushed me to a hospital in South Germany, where I stayed for a few months to get treatment. I believe I received some sort of cancer medication that helped with the arthritis. My mom was very against steroids so we tried to avoid those as much as possible. Let me know if there is anything in particular you’d like to know.
With your new hat and glasses it’s almost like watching a different hiker. When you finally got to camp and took them off I said “ There she is with her gorgeous hair, that’s our Road Runner! Your doing great Juliane, always praying for you. - Mark
Enjoyed this video, of course, and I hope you got better rest that night. Around 17:06, when you reached that "how you doin'" view, there is something on the ground that looked like a log, or a log-shaped rock. Could it have been petrified wood, do you think? Thanks as always for taking all of us along (talk about carrying extra weight!).
Good video, Julianne. The scenery toward the end of the day was outstanding. Such a beautiful trail. I wish good sleep for you tonight. You take care and stay safe.
Wonderful vistas of the lake. The trail looks so smooth, for mountain bikes, Hey would get very far on the AT!🤣.Trail runners in the middle of the night is nutty. You never know what you run into out on the trail.
It seems like non-stop epic views! Lovin’ this hike (and that I can enjoy it thru you - probably couldn’t handle it myself. 😊). As far as the upper pack load being pulled away from your body - that’s the one thing I dislike about ultra-light packs (my Gossamer Gear is the same), no load lifters. I know it’s a weight thing, but… ❤❤
I like your jazzy blues music. Seems appropriate. Your lunchtime view looked like the view driving in from Rose mtn (later you confirmed it). You are right, everyday is a gift and your videos pay it forward to bless others. Do you have a shoe fund account? You are not far from Reno at Rose mountain. Be safe and get some rest!
You know what i find crazy is.... the fact that your literally walking around a giant lake. And yet there is barely any (WATER) streams leading up to the lake. Thats just crazy to me.
We use to go camping hiking every year.. we went the middle of September.. why.. mosquitoes.. every place we went most were dead by then.. def at night…
I figured the 200 milers would affect a few thru-hikers… thankfully I was only running the 100k so I don’t believe I ran past any hikers through the night but many of those people were out there for 4 days, running through most of the nights 🤯
Looks like you found the only open ground in the area to pitch a tent but it looks like it's not level in a case like that I would sleep with my feet down hill
Mental note...bring ear plugs and sleep mask when hiking during an overnight 200 mile trail running challenge... Seriously, who the heck does that? Sounds like torture. Isn’t it ironic, doncha think? Hiking all the way around a lake, and there's so little water to drink? 😂
I was going to ask how to say Mosquito in deutsch so I just looked myself. Moskito. Kinda like Mexiko. Kalifornien. Kanada.... I bet this triggers them. Amerika. Amerikanisch Not bad. Machine gun? maschinengewerhr *awesome*
At 10,000 feet elevation, you have 30% less oxygen level compared to sea level. Typical, you will sleep less [less sound], urinate more and breathe more heavily. Welcome to the high country. Enjoying your comments.
What beautiful views you have been blessed with in your hiking lifetime…I too appreciate your legs and feet carrying me on these journeys 🙏
Wonderful!
A thousand thumbs up!! Thanks for sharing. Fantastic video!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I really watching this set of hiking videos closely. I'm considering doing this hike next summer.
Go for it!
i really enjoy your videos and great to see you in your element . River Crossing
Thanks for watching!
Those are epic views. Mosquitos are bad here too. There seems to be a bunch of people there lol. Keep on hydrating.
Will do
Great to see you hiking again. I'm jealous!
Awe thanks for watching

I really appreciate you saying such a kind thing
Happy trekking! 🥾
Holy Wowzers! Thank you so much
@@hikingdancer Probably barely enough for a good burger and beer in that area. 😉

It’s been around 70-80 during the day
Differently the elevation and going up here is draining the body. Really nice views today. Great job.
Thanks 👍
I watched your video while doing the elliptical, so thank you for making my exercise enjoyable. It almost felt like I was walking with you 😅
Wonderful! 🏃♀️

I truly agree. When something is Takten from you you know how to value it when you get it back
Thank you for sharing your journey and info for future hikers. Be safe and have fun! Blessings 🙌
Thank you! Will do!
So remote!
Lol
Loving your videos and content! You are an awesome warrior!!!
Thank you so much!
Yeah that's a few people today. It's crazy you haven't ran into any thru hikers. Definitely different from the A.T. beautiful scenery
You got that right!
Love the videos and your coverage of the trail. Would love to see how you pack with the canister when you are back. Continued happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Good idea. You always have good video ideas
What are your dates?
@@hikingdancer well you give great video content. I remember now you had the bigger bear 🐻 vault 😳.
Very different from the AT but soooo beautiful. I love seeing you back on trail and how happy you are there. I imagine Nemo+bear can+ 4 liters of water does get heavy. Happy trekking! 🥾
Ooooooh yeah it really adds up

All in all, a great day! This hike is a different sort for sure. Love these vlogs!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I do look quite different in that outfit
Beautiful section of trail. The TRT looks like a good add to the bucket list. Thanks for sharing with us.

Yes the trail is super smooth
TRT being busy makes it a different hike.
Busy with everything but hikers 😩
Busy trail in a different way then the AT.....looks really open which is kinda cool..not much under growth...looked like a beautiful day!!
Yes it was!
I use to hike with at least 8 beers as much as possible.. hiking and camping and beer for me , went together
That sounds lovely
Mosquitoes are so annoying. Glad they didn't team up and carry you away.
Lol oh yeah
@hikingdancer Hi Roadrunner..how about tying your cooking pot outside your backpack?
That’s an idea. Lately I’ve put it into the bear canister if I have enough room
What were the overnight temps at that elevation?
Upper 40s to mid 50s

Load lifters don’t seem to help me as my pack has them. When I adjust them they hurt my back more. Maybe I just don’t know how to use them

A shoe fund account? No I don’t. Yes I like to play with the different styles of music.

I totally agree

That’s a good time to go hiking

I can’t imagine running that long. So tiring

It was pretty level
11:53 I think you went the wrong way if you were at the Canada/Nevada border 😂 😁
Mental note...bring ear plugs and sleep mask when hiking during an overnight 200 mile trail running challenge...
Seriously, who the heck does that? Sounds like torture.

I so agree about the water
Whats with those downhill hikers not yielding to you as an uphill hiker. Come on, people....
🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

Lol
Cooking pot in bear canister?
Didn’t fit until recently
Wow earplugs and people going through the night. Sounds like a city. Jesus is coming soon

I love the high country
Sorry about your cooking pot, but a stainless steel one prolly wouldn't have bent out of shape. Weight penalty perhaps, but stronger. Just saying.
Good point
too many people
Too many bikers lol
On behalf of CA, I apologize for inconsiderate mountain bikers, loud hikers/runners, dog owners who don't leash their dogs and the lack of water.
No need to apologize.
Love the bluesy country music choice. Fits the western vibe for sure!
Thank you.
