Hey stu! I'm driving home from work right now on a lonely country road listening to your video and practicing this strum on my steering wheel. Is that crazy? LOL

    Practice brings “improvement” not
“perfection ” is absolutely right !

As a sports coach, told the players: "Practice makes permanent" and "Perfect practice makes perfect". Like your "Practice makes improvement"!

I really like that… Practice makes permanent! I’m going to use that one for sure… Wiring the motions into our neural net deeply 😃🤙🎶

I like what you said about practice not making perfect i remember a minister who said "practice does not make perfect only perfect practice makes perfect"

I love this awesome rhythm/strum! Thanks for not teaching down to us, but lifting us up. This is way more than I ever thought I could play, but you are so wonderful at breaking it down and making it manageable. It is also great to be encouraged to appreciate the value of a drop in the bucket. 🙂

Thanks so much Sharon…I appreciate your comment very much! Hats off to you for jumping into something that’s more challenging - step by step we can learn much more than we thought possible…and hey, if it’s not coming together at least we enjoy the journey eh? Wishing you all the best 😊🤙🙏🏻

Thank you. I learnt the rumba strum on your first two videos and found this one the next level up. I loved the challenge but couldn’t keep up with the song at the end. I will keep practicing 👏😁🥂

So Stu.... I've been practicing.....I often take my uke with me when my husband and I go out and about. Usually I practice strumming with the music on the radio. Today I have practiced the rumba strum to Sugar, by maroon 5, I don't wanna talk about it by Rod Stewart, listen to what the man said by McCartney, the country song " it's a quarter after 1, I'm a little drunk and I need you now". Lol. So fast some slow. It's helping.!

So I just found out I could slow down videos on YT, so I opened up this one to try it out... Starting at 13:35 at 50% speed .. HILARIOUS! It looks like someone had a few too many cocktails. 😂😂.
Sorry Stu... Carry on. 😎 Great video, love this rhythm! And now I'll be able to play along with the faster parts by slowing you down. 😎

I like it! Fun stuff. I totally understand the need to not be perfect,I call my practice playing. Just playing.
I especially like how you tied it in with skip to my Lou. Thanks Stu, glad to play/practice with you!

Thanks for joining in Ghinda… that is a really big accomplishment! You’ve proved to yourself that it is possible to do it… The rest is learning to sustain it and build endurance. Practice in small drops of accuracy and keep extending it pretty soon it’ll flow with the eaves… Remember you’re priming the pump and it takes effort. Hats off to you for showing up for your music in this way! 🙌🎶😃👍
