Yet again I escaped the Dutch cold (and snow this time) while I enjoyed 20+ degrees on a beautiful island in mid January. In five days I explore the island and discover the nicest roads and views. Some even more special than others. Not everything went smooth, as I had some major issues with my audio this trip. It's returned for reparation - hope to have it back soon (and fixed) 🤞

Where we had our honeymoon, stunning island, must go back one day👍 Regarding your camera, I keep my SLR in a SW Motech Engage PRO tank bag, easy access and no straps to worry about..glad you have some squeaky boots too.

Yep.
With all the traveling I've done most places outside of Europe use their motorcycles for transportation. When we went to Gran Canaria and Tenerife I instantly thought motorcycle nirvana and saw there was a motorcycle culture!

Between yourself and the guys you have sold the island.. I have been to Tenerife and found it a bit bland.. but The Gran Canaria looks spectacular, living in North Wales on the borders of The Snowdonia national Park, which you visited yourself a few months back.. you practically rode past my house, I just love the mountains.. and them mountains, valleys and lakes in Gran Canaria look breathtaking.
I will be booking a holiday there pretty soon and hopefully hire a bike from Canary Ride for a few days..

Both islands had pretty amazing places, but yeah, Tenerife is a bit more smeared out. But both left me in awe! Depends on where you're riding to of course. Snowdonia is on my list to re-visit, because I haven't seen that much of it haha. @@LNRmoto it's just that I'm already so used to it 😁
That's why, my first wireless mic worked on AAA batteries. Then, I got tired of losing signal and there were no products with internal recording options when I purchased the mic!
Meanwile I gave up un wireless and just record separate audio on a lavalier and external recorder (Zoom H1), then sync it in post.
It's far better 'cause I can control the level of my voice and mix it with the sound from my camera internal audio for better immersion of the enviroment. Voice also sound way better too since the Zoom recorder has far better preamps!.
Also, this seazon I'll go big on recording motorcycle engine and exhaust sound!
I guess you already solved the problem since it's been a year from when you posted this video, but if you already got the DJI Mic, maybe you should also get a power bank... a 20000mAh one will be enough to separately recharge the mic case.
PS: I like how you casually carry +$6000 on your shoulder while rideing your motorcycle ;)

Makes me hungry to drive there as well. Yes, stunning photos and taken from very nice angles. Loved it. (idea: maybe the armor of a Biathlon athlete and your camara instead of the rifle)
Highly recommend it, so many different sceneries and many options in Canary Ride's fleet for renting 🤩 I've thought about that indeed, do have some ideas but need to combine it to work with having it over my motorcycle gear etc.

Ohh they are Sara, so many twisties. I was actually a bit dizzy the first day 😂 so used to the straight Dutch roads.. can’t wait to go back!

What tripod is that?
It's the Travel Tripod from Peak Design. Light, small and easy to take with me on trips like this! 😄
I guess there are two major concerns with carrying the camera the way you do behind your back the way you do:
In case of a fall with the bike a silly angle of impact on the floor is all it takes to potentially hurt you pretty badly and, what's less worrying for the onlooker, in quite a lot of scenarios the camera will get destroyed as it hardly will stay in place. …and I conclude that's not one from the cheapo shelf at Woolworth's. So maybe
Luke from the Channel @Adventurist had a special tankbag for such equipment, maybe he can give you first hand advice which ones would be best?

Thanks for your extended reply. I’m aware this is like the least safest way to ride with a camera (or anything for that matter..), but having it within reach to make quick shots for when traveling longer days than this, I almost wouldn’t know any other options. I’ve tried many different ways and yes a tank bag would be the best. But because of the size of the cameras body, it’s a tough job to find something that will fit the gear and still has room to make a fitting padding. So a though one, but nevertheless I’m gonna be exploring and searching for solutions! 😄 I’ll check his channel out, thnx!

Can't believe you only shot 2-3 seconds of footage at the Pico de las Nieves. The views from it are stunning, absolutely spectacular and there are numerous opportunities for stunning pictures. Elsewhere every where you turn there is a picture opportunity.
Not sure it is a good idea to have your camera on your body like you do. If you come off your bike and then land on it you might cause yourself even more serious injury and good bye camera as well. I put mine safely in my tank bag or top box.

Stunning content LNR..... Somewhere I have never been... But I have been to 35 Countries on 4 Continents.... So have seen a lot of the World.... I am a Leather worker so if you send me a design for your Camera strap Maybe I could make you a hand made special one..... Just a thought.... What is it about Holland and Lady Bikers... I follow Noraly, Two wheels and a Ponytail and now You..... :-)) xxx ps: when planning a world trip, spare parts are sometimes difficult to find.... So check on Ducati dealerships.... and tyre supplies.... I look forward to more... :-))
