It's beautiful work. I'm slightly disappointed that the wand, even on your premium pack, is the Mattel wand. I've never held the Mattel one, but I've heard it's noticeably a plastic toy, even if it's a very, very nice one.
"I have never held the Mattel wand" you say. You should really check it out first before making a judgement. When the 6 batteries are in it, it adds some weight to it. It is made from ABS injection plastic, no one can make such clean and detailed plastic parts as a toy manufacture can, it is sturdy and details, the tip is motorized, it vibrates, in makes sounds and lights up. Sure, there are some things I would like to modify on it, and we have offered wands that are made of welded aluminum with real Clippard Valves and machines parts and switches, but you would have to pay something like $1000 to $1500 for a wand like that. That's what they sell for. Originally the Mattel wand was $150, there was no way to reproduce the quality of it for that price. Even a casted wand will cost you over $500 and usually they look like bubble gum. When all the Mattel wands are gone we will go back to making our own wands, but the price will have to go up. Everyone wants quality but they hate having to pay extra for it.
Despite what you say, that pack's ALICE frame is way too low, man. Standing is not the standard. Just watch the movie. That neck rest should be next to the HGA, not way below it. This one is parallel to the gun mount. Too low.
So do you still have to crack open your Matty thrower to run the audio leads from the internal speaker or board to the jack? It was my understanding that the handle jack on the Matty collector's thrower was meant to activate the never made Matty proton pack.
Interesting. I was under the impression that there was no audio output on the thrower jack,which was stupid. So have you run the thrower signal output through a powered speaker or did you have to custom build a circuit that would Isolate the audio from the control signal that was supposed to activate the never produced Matty proton pack.

It's just you. If it weren't mounted properly it would fall over. The foot on the bottom is designed to hold it up like a kickstand. The problem is that you see so many people do it wrong.

@@finchmeister08 The ALICE pack frames are government standard, some of the actors wanted their packs mounted in different locations because of their height, they added pads to the back where they would hit their heads on it looking up, etc. Do it how you want. This is how we do it.
