livenation managment company is doing bert favor with the bands...lol expect a huge PR push from ticketmaster and livenation and berty doesnt seem to mind pushing those third party ticket places that jack tickets up even more than they are... very much a reason despite cities closer with more people europe is less profitable because they dont allow monsanto or ticketmaster...
I dont care what anyone says, these guys still make hits. I used to listen to them when I worked out 15-18 years ago and still do today. My 13 year old daughter and I listen to them every day driving her to school 👏
It's funny to hear these comics hear tell stories how they opened for famous bands - now musicians and comics are such fans of each other that it is inevitable
I think as long as the comic is a fan of the band and the band is a fan of the comic it can work look at Jim breurer (messed up the last name) and Metallica
No freaking way!!! I've seen this band live six times and they are unbelievable live!! Jacobi's energy when he gets on stage is crazy!! Keep this coming I love that you're influencing your rock and metal side!!
Damn they made fantastic guests! Seriously one of the best episodes and I love how all of em engaged in the conversation. Hope they come back and now I want em on Bertcast.
I saw papa roach live 3 times when the album “infest” came out. Jacoby was walking out in the pit singing and he came up to me and put the microphone to my mouth so I can belt out a few lyrics. One of my favorite moments and memories of all time
Ozzfest 2001 - West Palm Beach - Papa Roach had the most electric, no flair set Ive seen. Watching Jacoby headbutt bottles and things being thrown without missing a beat, is a core memory. They absolutely rocked the main stage mid day!
Getting to see Fully Loaded for the first time this year and 100% you should have great bands like this opening/closing the show! Remember me when you make this happen!
Feel like papa roach is really hitting their stride musically. They've always had bangers but the latest music I feel is just top to bottom awesome. Instruments lyrics the whole composition.
When you be in the dirt, long gone Bert, your children gonna watch this, their papa was cringe, big hearted cool floboi same time. It is priceless man.
1:04 I swear, you better show this recipe. That sounds and looks amazing. Where have the recipes gone buddy. It was kinda important… like a LOT ❤❤❤ Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida
Papa Roach, Powerman 5000, Korn was my first concert, and at the time, there was no other band I'd have wanted to be my first band to see live besides Papa Roach. Still wish I could see that show again. Love you guys!
Berts intro to bmth, what a Collab with Papa Roach, and loved the acoustic last resort, deff need to be a repeat one day, and falling is one of my favs ❤
Shout out to ur producer. Made this sound so clean. For 5 guys just chilling in the kitchen with a guitar. Or maybe it's just cause papa roach is goated.
Love you guys and the music you bring to this world. Saw you over here in Aussie at Brisbane Soundwave and you guys were just rippin' up🔥 I named my son Jacoby❤ 🤗🥰
It is crazy how many memories are coming back, especially in my high school years. I was like a freshman when this band was hot. I'm 38 now and I believe the first time I seldom perform show called phat farm
Really enjoying the guest diversity on Bertcast and Somethings Burning. Keep it up Bert! What was 2001...I can think of at least one major event. P.S. I never slept on the Beatles, but not a Stones fan either.
DUDE, he said, "finally we get this free shit when now we can afford it." I've ALWAYS felt that way about UA-cam sponsors and even members that send stuff. Been trying to grow my channel for 4yrs now, can barely afford my bills, let alone trying to keep buying cards to open for the channel, meanwhile every rich Poketuber get's over half the stuff for free! There should be a program or company that sponsors new creators until they start making money, that would be epic!
Bert, don’t be silly. You would never listen to me so ask your wife,, you are sort of the Beatles of stand-up comedy. no matter what age you are,how or where you were raised, there’s something for you. That is how I describe your comedy to anyone that will listen I’m serious! I grew up in the panhandle and after living in many states, I settled in Orlando. Go ahead and judge, but you are legit killing it in everything you touch. Can’t wait for Tampa , my husband and I love your podcasts and I have a big fat girl crush on Leeann. 😊 She is amazing. Thanks again for the fantastic content (I miss seeing the recipes but I love it)
In 2000 Papa Roach came to Jacksonville Florida to play a show and the club made them go on before my best friends’ band. The first thing Jacoby said to me was “do you know where I can find some X?” I didn’t, but that show ended up with us on the road with Papa Roach for a few dates in Florida and Alabama. The next time they came through they were staying with the us. For someone that had no musical talent, I got to do a lot of cool shit in the 90’s and early 2000’s and that’s just one of said things
I remember I was like 5 years old my uncle and a few of his friends/ band mates went to a headlining papa roach show and he brought a schecter 7 string like this isn't one of the omen series like this is one of the highest quality like schecters out there it was like a black and Grey tiger burst and they were outside after the show and saw the bands tour bus and as they walk up Jacoby come running up from behind and my uncle asked if they would sign the guitar and the whole band signed and Jacoby bummed a morborol red off my uncle, Bruce. I'm curious if they'd remember that but to this day the guitar is still at his buddies house cuz they've passed it back and forth a few times and they just both made the promise they wouldn't ever sell it or anything and that it'd only ever go between them too which is still awesome. I wish I had the same experience as they did and my uncle had a solid active band at the time that he was I believe there lead guitarist and he got me into playing at a young age and I was on and off with it threw my childhood and I started playing again after i fucked my hand and wrist up and I was struggling with heroin addiction at the time I so happened to land an Amp and a somewhat solid guitar and it helped me so much and I learned to play last resort not too long after I got the guitar and it helped boost my self confidence in playing to a point I have a shitty self confidence in anything I do to this day I'm working on it but it helped me get clean and I've been playing since and now have a couple really bad ass guitars I have to buy a new Amp but other then needing an Amp currently I still play without the Amp I have gotten much much better and last resort changed my life and changed how well I play guitar and it helped me learn how to play much better. I've seen papa roach 5 times and would love to see them again and I'd love to personally meet the band myself. I just have to say thank you to the whole band for being solid fucking people and creating music that has quite literally saved my life so thank you guys and I hope to one day meet you guys and hell maybe even play with ya guys if it is ever possible.
I saw Die Trying open for them in Petaluma back in the day in like 2001 or something and Die Trying killed big time, bought their ablum right then on the spot… still listen to it to this day lol goes so hard…
Really wish Brent would have asked about where they were from. I grew up in Vacaville around the corner from their old band house on Klamath Drive. My dad went to high school with two of them. Love from the 707!
Bert please just keep bring these classic bands on the pod, everybody wants it
Speak fo yo self
On bertcast sure... Not here
@@andrewhardy2635 Why? This show has never been exclusive to comedians. Why does the buck stop when you don't like someone?
@@Tonyisgaming I love Papa Roach, just think it'd be deeper on Bertcast like he did with Shinedown?

Having papa roach in your kitchen singing Last Resort while you’re drinking and hanging out is a lifetime event
While also saying things like “those are delightful” 😍😂
I dont care what anyone says, these guys still make hits. I used to listen to them when I worked out 15-18 years ago and still do today. My 13 year old daughter and I listen to them every day driving her to school 👏
Easily my favorite episode. Papa Roach is one of the best live concert experiences you can have. Every time I've seen them, they bring it!
I love how Bert involves the people behind the camera and are part of the show, it's so genuine and casual.
Definitely should have some bands on the fully loaded tour. Rock bands and comedy is a killer combo.
It's funny to hear these comics hear tell stories how they opened for famous bands - now musicians and comics are such fans of each other that it is inevitable
Like peanut butter and jelly
I think as long as the comic is a fan of the band and the band is a fan of the comic it can work look at Jim breurer (messed up the last name) and Metallica
That acoustic last resort was sick! I know bert was living for that moment
No freaking way!!! I've seen this band live six times and they are unbelievable live!! Jacobi's energy when he gets on stage is crazy!! Keep this coming I love that you're influencing your rock and metal side!!
Yes freaking way
For anyone wondering, the "Last Resort - Kitchen Version (Fresh out of the oven)" plays at minute 48:33
Thank you for that. 😁🙏
NO AD BREAKS OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMG !!!!!! YOUR THE BEST!
does something burning ever do ads? i cant even remember now that you mentioned it, but really cool either way!
Damn they made fantastic guests! Seriously one of the best episodes and I love how all of em engaged in the conversation. Hope they come back and now I want em on Bertcast.
Papa Roach, Seether and Staind was my first concert. Man they freaking rocked!!!! This was awesome!!! Cheers boys!!
Bro that was almost 15 years ago 😭 I was like 13 when my pops took me to that!
@@CrakerzANDcl1tz hahaha o0o yeah!!! Seems like a lifetime ago lol
Saw them with Cyprus Hill and Eminem in 2003 or 2.
Oh yeah seether is good, i seen them live with Coldplay back in the day and was awesome!! Seether was so good live!!
More bands from this era please! I love it!
Those 5 beats in the middle of the T.L.C./T.M.I. moment are hilarious!!

@@PearlDrumsHead lol 😂 to be fair I wasn’t the only one.. wish I could relive it tho, the after glow stayed with me for a long while
Papa roach is one of the best live bands in ever still

This episode made me smile many times.
These fellas are cool as hell, I hope they do some podcasts, garner new support
Bert's living his best life and I love it :)
When you be in the dirt, long gone Bert, your children gonna watch this, their papa was cringe, big hearted cool floboi same time. It is priceless man.
The Bert Cast and Something’s Burning just keeps getting better and better!
Love Papa Roach & Chad Smith is Awesome, glad he was cool to the band. Bert, these podcasts are great!
47:57 my man hitting that …and justice for all intro. Tallica \m/
They practiced in my friends grandma's backyard in Vacaville ca.

Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida
I've had the pleasure and privilege of seeing PRoach 15 times and they are easily the best bands to see live.
Before I die is their best slept on song by far. One of my all time favorites. The Isla mfker joke is my favorite joke of yours.
This was such a good podcast. Love seeing bands and the good vibes. Keep up the good work!!!
Ok….. I loved this episode and then the 50 minute mark with the kitchen version of last resort dammmmmnnnnn. Couldn’t love it anymore. 😊
Best episode ever. Papa roach singing in your kitchen is insane
FINALLY someone mentions Shinedown! He and Zach did Bert’s podcast and Brent did a Carpool Karaoke with Jacoby…
Bert, I am glad you finally started giving the guests napkins!😁
I love that Bert is having great musicians on his podcasts, the music is spontaneous and great
I saw papa roach on that tour with Korn. It was my first concert and a comedy I'll love forever. Great episode!
Which city? My first concert also!
I loved seeing papa roach live. I saw them as a young angtsy teenager, and two years ago. It was nothing but spectacular.
Just keep putting out bangers. Amazing.
Bert just bringing up The Used ... i didn't know my little emo ass would connect with him over music bahahaha
Bert you are the one that got me back into wanting to do stand up comedy and papa roach was always a staple in my childhood
This is actually super fire 🔥. Keep this up !!
Falling Apart, like the rest of F.E.A.R , is an amazing song! I was lucky to see them on that tour.
Can’t say I’ve listened to much of them, but they seem like genuinely great band to hang out and talk music over food!
Last Resort, The Kitchen Remix!🔥🔥🔥 Blowin up everywhere 🔥🤟🏾🔥🤟🏾🔥
Awesome! I love it! Best day of my life! Bert and Papa Roach!
🔥🔥🔥🔥 getting away with murder was my album in middle school. Thank you for the reminder ❤❤

this was one i didn't want to end. amazing. those guys are awesome time for a rock and comedy show together.
Great episode! Would love to see Fully Loaded with Papa Roach!! ❤❤
High school! Never listen anymore but sometimes I just play that riff in my head
The kitchen percussion version of Papa Roach was dope, that was a moment… Bert chugged the frack out of his drink. 😂 but really, that was a vibe.
I know I'm late to this but I'm wearing the limited Papa Roach Rose shirt right now! 42 years young and I love you all!
Had a blast listening to this episode. From the San Fran Valley Gen X love Papa Roach!
I saw Papa Roach at OzzFest in Wa state. They are fun to see live
I got chills from that performance.
From the Wooz to Berts kitchen! Badass! Congrats
Love you guys and the music you bring to this world. Saw you over here in Aussie at Brisbane Soundwave and you guys were just rippin' up🔥 I named my son Jacoby❤

I’d say my favorite Papa Roach song is Broken Home
Forever was one of my favorite songs by papa roach and I feel it’s underrated. As well as To Be Loved.
I saw them live in Maryland and it was so good. We liked them more than the headliner!
These guys got me through some rough shit with a lot of their albums. Rock on guys.
Ok well I’ll start saving up for a Korn and Papa Roach tour next year 😉❤

Wow, this is something I didn’t know was possible, what a team! ❤
I would love nothing more than snoop and wiz on something burning 😭😭😭
I still remember when "Last Resort" came out in 2000 I think when I was still in high school.
My life would be complete hearing Jakoby said I want another of anything I cooked for him!
HOLY FACK BERT ...EVEN Role playing as another person you're narcissistic 'What do you like most about me?' type questions NEVER FAIL! LMFAO!!!
27:59 “i fuckin loovv” cut “what music do u guys listen to”
bert was about to say he fuckin loves rogan and we all know that lol
I forgot how badass papa roach is 🤘 Great episode ❤
anyone know what band jacoby mentions that had the t shirt of guy slashing a papa roach fan at 33:20 ?
