Football is so important in the city of Philly man I love it
This was a nice video but it wasn't what football means to Philadelphia at all it's way bigger than this. To make it short football is a religion in Philadelphia almost every kid knows the fight song by the age of 4 or 5 maybe earlier, the color green flows through the veins of fans as if it was blood itself. Football means so much to the fans any time the Eagles lose a game that upcoming week is like a ghost town in the City you could actually hear a pin drop lol. Monday mornings are the worst, people are in bad moods, you feel sick to the stomach and don't really feel like going to work or doing anything i mean this is after any loss. Heartbreakers are even worse i know it sounds weird but it's true and it's what separates us from other fans we're lunatics and we love it. This goes on every year after a loss but everything starts to come back to life on Fridays and we do it all over again screaming our team to a victory. Most of all football is life in Philadelphia this video would have to be 4hrs. long for people to actually get the message, you have to live it to understand. GO BIRDZ !!!!

I'm not from Philadelphia but my grandfather used to live there and he got to love and care for this team every week and I do feel as in if we win I can take a bullet and it can be deflected away but If we loose then I am closed off and don't want to see people again until Friday when prepping for Sunday! Go brids!!!! Also went to the saints game mid season blowout that has to mean allot lol

i love how people view the fanbase from the outside. they take the smallest, worst representations of our fans and project that on the whole fanbase, but really we're all just more passionate about the team. a passion that most team's fans can't even fathom.
they love to talk about how eagles fans threw snowballs at santa, yet in other fanbases, people get into violent fights some times fatal) throw things at players but nobody cares. if eagles fans did that it be national news

Well, in a way, it was. By highlighting the struggles and issues that the city faces, it paints us a better picture of just how meaningful football is at the end of the day. Besides, I think Nate did well tying everything back to football in the end.

An important thing to point out about Philly is that no buildings were allowed to be taller than the William Penn statue on top city hall until about 30 years ago. People always wonder why it's such a short city.

I was born in Philly, but raised in
North Jersey. The one thing I always loved about going to visit family in Philly is the people were united in their love for the Eagles. Where I grew up you had Raiders, Steelers, Cowboys & Dolphins fans. Giants & Jets seemed to be last on the totem pole. The Philly fan base is the real deal...

Omar Flores go to a Dallas night game. It gets incredibly rowdy and chaotic. Sit somewhere up high where the seats at the cheapest. You’ll get a show within the show especially when Dallas fans are scattered throughout the stadium. You’ll probably see a few fights. I’m sure a night game against the giants is just the same. But I’m pretty sure we all hate Cowboys more than the Giants which adds a little more fire to the mix.
Can you do one featuring New Orleans? That city and fan base love their Saints.

It’s more than a city; the people are philadelphia, the culture is philadelphia... it’s not location or infrastructure. It’s something completely different. I grew up outside of philly and I never want to live anywhere except philadelphia... GO EAGLES!!!

This was a very poorly executed video. Politics don’t represent football in Philadelphia. Passion represents football in Philadelphia. Everyone tries to make everything about politics now. Philadelphia bleeds green. Philadelphia loves all of its sports, no doubt. But what runs this city is football. You wake up every Sunday and you can’t wait until kickoff. You absolutely scream your head off. You eat cheesesteaks and crabfries and you go to C&P’s and you throw things at your tv and you wonder why Pederson runs it on every single god damn second down play! You wonder why Kevin Curtis didn’t get the call in the NFC Championship game. You wonder why Andy Reid can’t manage a clock to save his life. You wonder why Chip Kelly was ever brought into the organization, why the dream team didn’t work out, why every year ends in disappointment. You wonder when you’ll finally get your turn to have a championship. When all other teams will be inferior. And then it happens. And you love every bit of it. Because it’s your’s, and no one can take it from you. You’ve never experienced a Super Bowl before and all of a sudden BAM it comes out of nowhere. And you get a feeling that’s truly indescribable, an amount of happiness that you’ve never experienced before No one can take Super Bowl LII away from you. That’s what Philadelphia football is about.
The thing the nation wouldn’t ever get is... even in the North Philly “bad lands-down the way” where there you don’t stop at stop signs or you want something...
During Eagles games is the only time one can roll through North Philly as a tourist safely and ‘sightsee’. There isn’t any open air dealings until half time. Then a lull until after the game then business as usual. Eagles games literally shut even the drug culture down for 4-5 hours down a week. That’s how important it is. Football is our drug our religion our life.
Only people who aren’t from down north are afraid to ride through...just sayin
