Billy Joel is a huge star from NYC, hence the accent. You must have heard some of his songs like "Piano Man", "Uptown girl", "The longest time", "Just the way you are", "Only the good die young", "My Life", "You may be right". Singer, songwriter, pianist. Re the question about Billy's wife, Robin had a bit of a reputation, whether true or not, of being a bit of a Casanova. Mo was great with dialects and mimicry. Robin sure was an ugly nun! The 4th guy in that bit was their friend David English who was often in skits with them like the "This is where I came in" video playing their mother and their manager. "Gotcha" and "The Songwriters' Workshop" are fun.
My favorite part is where they are teasing Barry about his social life. Like walking down to the corner and watching the traffic lights turn was Barry’s idea of an exiting time. I’ve watched their full interview with Meri Griffin and it’s really amusing. They were never into nightclubs, they were family men and would take their families with them when they went on tour. ❤

My favourite part of this is the exchange between Billy Joel and Robin about his first wife. Robin said nothing happened but then Maurice said 'it was me Billy' (hinting that it was mistaken identity because they are twins). Another part that I found amusing was around 2:25. I don't think I fully understand the joke but I found Robin amusing. First Barry came out of a room looking pissed off and commented ...'Roland Rat.... incredible '. Maurice came out next saying (and he sounded sarcastic) 'Roland Rat... fantastic just fantastic.' Then Robin came out and said who the 'F ' is Roland Rat.' The way he said this was quite hilarious. I was saying (thinking) ...'who is this ' but Robin said it better 😄. Also when (Maurice's daughter) was picking her nose and the interviewer asked who was this, Robin said 'that's me'. His niece's hair looked similar to his at the time....so Maurice had his 'mini me'.
They are saying Roland Rat. This was a “character” on UK TV back in the 80’s. It was a puppet that was a rat and had its own TV segment or show (I can’t remember specifically). It was quite popular in the early 80’s when this segment was done.
@@carolb1104 No worries. I don’t think it’s that well known outside of the UK and it was a long time ago. The rat was quite a brash character and this segment came from a longer show where various UK TV personalities/celebs were doing similar bits aimed towards RR. I don’t think any of them dropped an “F” like Robin though 😆

Billy Joel is a great singer songwriter who had big hits in the 70s and 80s. Uptown Girl and Piano Man are great by him.
