Nine dynamic days in Bangladesh

  • This was my first photography trip to Bangladesh. We landed in Dhaka, visited Shrimongol (or is it Sreemangal or even Srimongol?), and drove to Jessore. Along the way we traveled to tea gardens, drove in Jeeps, ate amazing food (and learned how to use our hands), heard amazing stories, met some cool people, sang songs, watched great dancing (and had to join in too), sat in epic traffic jams. There are plenty of reasons to visit Bangladesh, lots of traveling to do, and no end of great photos to be taken. As always, it was an absolute blast to travel with Laura, Sarah, and Aaron.
A note on the music: Whenever I travel I use the songs which I heard in the country on that trip (go check out my Uganda video). Sometimes I ask people, other times I use apps like Shazam to help me identify the song. All the songs in this video were songs I heard in taxis, cars, restaurants, shops, buses, jeeps, and hotels during this trip to Bangladesh, so I assume Hindi songs must be popular in Bangladesh.

Like Bhala koira bajaogo dotara , bosonto batase , Ami ei minoti Korigo Sona bondhu bhuilo na amare . Keno piriti baraila re bondhu All of these songs are melodious and convenient for videos .

The first Asian to win a Nobel prize in Bengali and the national anthem of India and Bangladesh was written by the same Nobel laureate. Hindi-speaking people are not educated and highest literacy rate in India. The songs you are playing are Punjabi and Hindi . Only Oscar got also in Bengali movies.

Everywhere in Bangladesh people play Indian (Hindi) Songs all day in cafes, restaurants, weddings, and parties. What are these blokes on about? Just came from a pizza restaurant listened about 8 Hindi songs there non-stop playing Hindi songs.
The people complaining are the people who watch Hall-recorded Indian movies in the first month of release.
The whole population lives on Indian content, Indian products, and Indian motorbikes, a recent trend. Hypocrisy thy name.
To Alex, Awesome video. There's something peaceful about the video that makes me feel relaxed, and amazing cinematography. Keep it up and ignore the dirtbag Karen's.

There is not a single wedding or party where there are no Hindi songs played, millions of Bangladeshi Facebook users use Hindi songs every second. If I check your history I would probably find 50 things Indian.

It's not like that. The point of the video is to showcase Bangladesh and Bangladeshi culture. If that wasn't the case, he could've used any songs he liked. You can also notice that the songs were an important part of his video, and he used so many of them. So, it would have been better to use Bengali songs. One thing you're getting wrong is that "popularity doesn’t mean it fits".So people have valid criticism. And you are the one complicating it.

Relevant question. As I mentioned on other comments, whenever I travel I use the songs which I heard in the country on that trip (go check out my Uganda video). Sometimes I ask people, other times I use apps like Shazam to help me identify the song. All the songs in this video were songs I heard in taxis, cars, restaurants, shops, buses, jeeps, and hotels, so I guess Hindi songs must be popular in Bangladesh?
