Ground themed hero spends more time in the air than on/under ground.
Probably why the Ultimate feels weird, as it is required to touch -grass- ground to use it
Also doesn't help that it has travel time and functions quite literally like shatter. Needs to be on ground, needs to not have any obstruction, in fact her ult is incredibly shit if winston shields at all. If no one helps you break it he can wall your ult off solo

I’m a tank main who plays with people like dva Winston and doom so I love the play style
Same here. They feel like a more versatile old doom that isn't as frustrating to play against. Diving an ashe who is holding high ground to make space or booping enemies is so satisfying
@@devonbotney2762same tbh, she's a rather combo heavy character, and it's not like her abilities are the high damaging kind.You actually need to land your shots to make it work or you just play as ult farm venture, where you aoe splash as much, dash out, rinse and repeat, which is genuinely a shit playstyle for her.

Venture ult is good when sneaking in backline, and venture glitches out when pulled by lifeweaver and punched by doom
All my triples come from them trying to cap but me dashing behind lmao it’s so obnoxious, can’t wait for it to be nerfed and useless

Also they added a change role button so you don't have to cancel queue and then change and then queue again
It's honestly such a welcome change. I was getting so sick of clicking past eight different screens just to queue again.

One thing I've found, in a Venture v Venture battle, generally, whoever goes underground first loses
Underground, you can drill dash at the end of the timer and THEN use your longest unburrow to max out time invulnerable. It's even long enough to trigger the regen passive
what ive learned from venture is that they're always good for one, like even if i do a 1v5 as the last one alive im guaranteed a kill before they kill me

@@Neuvostsometimes it’s necessary to stall the team kill/cart though like if you’re 97% and they need to full cap, pushing it to OT has value, but yeah generally being the initiator isn’t smart without an escape plan

@Eskay you can SUPER assassinate squishies if you hold burrow for like 0.2 seconds, shot melee, then your drill rush will kill and carry you out assuming you position behind them

Honestly the ult is super strong, but definitely doesn’t synergise well with the rest of Venture’s kit. Ig since the base kit abilities of Venture are already pretty great on their own, they didn’t want the ultimate to feed too easily into the strength of the ultimate.
the ult is also very map dependent and hard to get value out of sometimes
Nah dash is perfect for getting behind them quickly to pop ult, I’ve dodged ults with burrow and then popped back up to finish em, there’s synergy but it’s more subtle and situational
I've set right on the D-Pad to say certain voice lines. I got Ana's to say "you need to learn to relax" for when I tranq people and "KO" for Ball whenever I get elims with knockback

I believe you can shoot into melee auto cancel into drill rush ability for maximum damage, I believe it’s roughly enough to kill a 250 hp hero
As fun the hero might be to play as, they are a absolute nightmare to play against. 1 shot potential, AOE Nuke, Invulnerability, HP gain, high mobility and everything is easy to hit. Rightclick absolutely needs a nerf and shield regain is also overtuned and should only apply when a ability actually hits.
That nerf wouldn’t affect burrow tho unless they added an entry hitbox which they shouldn’t, so that leaves nerfing dash to only give shield when it connects but the whole point of that decision is “doing dive with the shield or escape” so to force it being an engage mechanic is poopoo no thank you for me
Ventures ult reminds me of Sojurns ult bc they both confuse me on when to use them and how to use them.

I like ventures kit and playstyle but I think they do too much damage, they made all these changes to get rid of instant death burst damage and venture can 2 or 3 tap basically every hero and get out Scot free with full invincibility, and the ability to contest underground is insane
but if you think about out it they are 3 different skills, two of which are movement and all have different requirements to deal damage. Yes you have options but each of them needs to be used differently for value. Its not like these are 3 low risk high reward skills. Even their primary fire puts you in range of most skills and shots.

I don't know if its been said, but if you melee before you dash you deal extra damage, I see alot of kills in this video that wouldve been finished with this trick (you still finish them, but its free damage and efficiency) you have to build a habit to be able to do it repeatedly
Adding to the 7:39 section there's a 1 shot combo, but it uses all your abilities: burrow pop, shoot, melee+dash trick and shoot again... its kind of instant...
Also if you burrow off a small ledge, the vulnerability frame is shorter, so if you burrow off a small box youll go into burrow faster.

I absolutely love venture but one thing that really just irks me to no end is that dps doom couldnt exist but this character can, to me they feel VERY similar and maybe the goal was to give something to satisfy doom players that doesnt involve flying lightspeed around and over buildings with bugs but that was fun, and wasnt even the meta way to play the character

people are playing venture cause they’re new, once people learn to play against them it won’t be as bad, besides venture is like really balanced
@@tesla6938when they go sombra, Mauga, and venture and spawn camp u u just lose especially if they’re smurfing which is also another problem. I just got to gold 5 dps and support in gold 3 is easier

I had 1to1 the same feeling about her, she flows great but that ult is just so slow and I feel like I am one glowing like a supernova and two held down like in a Ram field.
