Honestly, hearing a new player absolutely loving the game and being so excited to try new heroes was so wonderful to experience. After playing for 6 years, every time a new player is somehow in a lobby with me they just seem so miserable. So to see new people against (mostly lol) other new people and having a blast is so fun.

Literally the funniest thing ever poor baby bless their heart
It is actually so difficult to blend into new player lobbies. You basically need to run it down main all the time, only aim at feet, and rebind your cooldowns. Also turn off the HUD and change the in game voices to Mandarin.

NGL I quit OW to start playing Val a few months ago. That being said I had a similar experience to not being able to act like a new player just a few days ago lol. I mostly play Comp or Swiftplay. The other night I got on with my friend who is very new and we queued unrated. My MMR must be incredibly low for unrated and combined with her brand new account we were only playing with new players. I felt so bad destroying them, but holding back was legitimately hard. It may be interesting to note I'm bronze. I ended that game with 30 kills.

Im glad it ended well, but tbh the lying did make me kinda uncomfy and also it really sucks to play against smurfs. I remember when I first started, playing against smurfs that crushed the whole lobby kinda ruined the game :/
Yeah I have mixed feelings on this type of content overall, especially because the game has been out for so long and the general consensus is and has been for a good while that smurfing is bad. Even though I do enjoy a lot of the interactions this type of content provides, I genuinely think the only time this type of content has seemed somewhat "fair" has been when she played Mercy. Literally every other role / hero she basically stomps on to the point where I just feel bad watching.

I usually like your videos Eskay, but I'm not really a fan of you stomping lower level lobbies for giggles, especially with the new sanctions in quick play. I suck at this game and when I get players like you in my lobbies, it literally ruins my game, even if I'm on the winning side. Hope you reconsider doing content around that. 😢
This is why I hate smurfs and this is why some games ban them... I love you eskay but the fact youtubers smurfs and go in qp to bully and yes it has happened that's ain't right...
And youtubers get away with it I unsubbed to you flats khepri and espen like it's not fun for new players to get into lobbies with grandmaster smurfs on qp your basically ruining there experience and making them leave and then they get a ban... And you kept saying sorry yet you weren't you literally were not I hope blizzard makes in so smurfing is a bananable offence.
