Ok so I am officially a dork. Why am I getting teary eyed watching you clean? It's almost like as each layer of dust is wiped away, your new life emerges. Hard to explain but you did yet another amazing job. I am just so happy for you.

Now I KNOW you really understand my feelings and thoughts. lol Despite these rooms thoroughly kicking my butt, I could definitely feel the improvement in my attitude. Even now, how much easier they are to maintain makes smiling a little easier and a little less fake.....if that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching, and for your amazing comments. You made my day!!!

I am 21 years old with a 18 month old son. No I don't have money like the rest of the people that you watch 'clean' on UA-cam. I absolutely LOVE that you're cleaning videos are so real!! Not everyone has lots of money, and say they're house is dirty when they probably pre cleaned before they're video. Love the realness! ❤

Not sure how I stumbled across this channel but I am inspired! I call myself the imperfect perfectionist. If I can't do it "perfect" I get stuck and can't move forward. Anxiety is a b**ch. Keep going. You can do it.

Yay!! Thank you so much!! I'm about half-way through cleaning the bedroom. I don't like that room......as evidenced by the fact that I'm sitting here watching cleaning videos instead of doing the cleaning. lol I'm slow, but this channel is helping to maintain my drive to get the next video up. Which means doing the cleaning first. lol Thank you for the wonderful encouragement.....it really helps!

My New Me... thank you for posting these videos. It reminds me so much of me and my home. I always have the best of intentions to get my house back in order and livable/clean...but then I look at a room and get a million times more depressed. Like you my home was nice and clean until I became disabled and just felt like I couldn't keep up anymore. Well those days are over. I had an appointment today that took a bit of time and I have 2 appointments tomorrow....so Wednesday....that's cleaning day #1! My home will be beautiful once again.

awww thanks a million times over! Actually, I ended up starting off today after my appointments. It's not like my home is a horrible mess. It's simply not organized. So, I started by completely packing up the first room (craft room) as if I was moving. Tomorrow I will unpack the totes and boxes and organize the room totally as if I had just moved in
Thank you again for your words of encouragement!!!

I so understand you're struggle. I'm a young 37 year old women who has battled depression for over 15 years. I now feel so much better but my house feels like its been through a war. Every day I am reminded of how i was and how i had let my self go. Now I'm at a point where i really want to do something about it but i'm so overwhelmed. I have never been able to take care of my home and i just wish i could do like you. I also thought of doing videos of my journey at regaining my life. Well actually getting my life as i feel that being so young when i got sick i never actually got one. Thank you so much for making me feel not so alone.

Wôw!! When I first started watching these ( 45 mins ago) I thought how can anyone let their house get that bad? Then I watched and listened...... It pays to pay attention to someone's story, before passing judgement! If I had a "Get's people Motivated" badge, I'd pin it on you. Great job, you put a smile on my face :) ...... That is until I decided to head to the kitchen to make a coffee, then realized how quickly a room can spiral out of control lol. I canned 4 batches of jam yesterday so I cleaned the kitchen top to bottom before starting. ( I like a clean slate). By the time dinner rolled around I'd already had to do the dishes multiple times ( between every batch of jam). So by the time dinner was done, I had a new mountain of dishes (family of 4 plus house guest) and I said screw it, and left them for today. Anyway..... Thankyou for getting me motivated, I just did one load lol. The second is soaking.

You are such an inspiration! I too have more health issues than I care to even admit. People who are not suffering in this way don’t quite understand the depression that worsens the illness that worsens the depression cycle that you have explained with pity. What A Phenomenal Woman You Are! I had just started trying to peel back the layers as this video came on; Wow just the act of starting and completing one thing is so gratifying. It’s even harder, in my opinion, when you are comparing what you can do now to what you did before the illness. It can literally cripple you just thinking about it. No more words but Thank You So Much! Your honesty and transparency is so delightful! Never be ashamed of the truth! It is the only thing that helps people to move on! Keep up your journey! We are right along with you!

I've watched both of your videos, and am so happy that you have reached a stage where you can think of getting everything in order once again. This is the first major step in getting your life in order, regaining your confidence. 😀
I know what illness can do and how easily depression can take hold and immobile you. You have my total respect and support... By the way, isn't it great to have family (son) who understands and is willing to help!! 💚
In the past year I have broken both hips and needed hip replacement. Fractured collarbone. Prior to that perforated duodenal ulcer, which almost killed me... etc etc
Hahaha.. walking disaster. Currently I have major dental issues. 😭
I'm thinking now that YOU need to treat yourself to something nice. T-shirt, lacy underwear, perfume, lipstick. Just something luxurious to celebrate the new you... or rather the return of the old you .. plus. Looking forward to seeing your next project in your home. Very best wishes from the UK.

I just found you and after 30 minutes of watching I got up from my bed (which has been my healing womb/prison) and vacuumed my living room. When you have been through trauma and/or health issues (health issues sounds so trite) you lose the ability to function. The depression is so hidden not like a scar or open wounds I love all the great, supportive comments. My story started with losing my job of eight years and my boss taking several thousands of dollars owed me in commissions. I was an independent sales rep. Then I lost my mother who I cared for for two years (all that time my house was not tended to), my brother and my sister within 10 months of each other. Friends and family disappeared for some reason and I was left totally alone in my misery. I spent so much time in my bed with my head covered up. I wouldn't let the very few people who wanted to visit come cause I was to ashamed of my dirty, filthy house. I didn't even want to live anymore much less clean myself or my house. It was really pretty awful but somehow I guess as I decided to "live" I have very, very slowly decided I want my life back. You are truly a very strong, brave woman to put it out there for all to see. You are doing a wonderful work in opening your life up and showing the dark side of life. I am very grateful for you and your honesty and humor. Thank you for your wonderful spirit that I know will help so many people.

I don't completely understand why I enjoy watching you clean so much, but I do. It is very satisfying. Maybe because I have struggled with keeping up with my own house work & organization most of my adult life and had several times when I did a big "getting my act together" cleanup like this. I think the kitchen video was my favorite so far. I also LOVE your "little monster" kitty.

Deana Wells Not everyone can do this! She have a open heart surgery and look like she don't have no one to help her!
When I was a child my mom show me the goodness of helping other and not wait for nothing back!
Any time someone got a surgery or have a baby the community got together and help that family before and after the surgery.
People today don't teach their kids this values anymore:(
And many people don't even open their doors for other scared others will stole their crap!
Many live their life loving materialism and forgetting about to love others human's or even it self! Is sad the direction humanity is taking!

I think you should definitely number the jobs you have achieve, then give yourself a reward system. Say, give yourself a point for each job. E.g 100 points = A new nail polish, or a coffee with a friend, a relaxing walk in the park. Then you can plan ahead of what treats you might give yourself in the future, write them down and build up to bigger treats. Just a little suggestion because you are worth the rewards.

I have just found you. I watched part one with tears in my eyes. I have a kidney condition with leaves me in pain daily. I'm also a single mum and work full time. My son is 16 and a marvelous help...but still only 16. My home goes through phases like yours when I am so tired from work and in a world of pain. Thank you...you are an inspiration. I am on two weeks leave from work and you have inspired me to give my home a deep clean. We live in a small apartment which is inspected every 12 weeks by the property manager so it's tidy but cluttered and definately needs a deep clean. I will let you know how I go. Thank you again.

How thorough you are, wow! That is some serious cleaning. Speaking of BAKING SODA.. I use a pinch of it in my morning coffee(s) to make it more ALKALINE. It is much better because coffee is an acidic beverage. It's been 2 weeks and I love it, you don't taste it at all. Just a pinch. Well, putting the Baking Soda in the shaker is a brilliant idea and using the Swiffer on the walls.... how come I didn't think of that!! I love my Swiffer too and have washable paint on the walls. I clean it once every year by hand (exhausting), but this time I'm going to use the Swiffer. Thanks for the idea. Excellent job you've done! x

Fantastic. I just love watching. You've inspired me to tidy up my lounge. Its so lovely to sit in now. I didnt spring clean as were about to paint and tile around our fireplace but all in good time. I picked up my craft area (so i can use it), and cleared off my dining table which we havent sat at for a month, since we had painted the walls. I figured if this lady can endure the pain so can i. I Have to take breaks and get the kids involved but at least we're getting there and not going backwards. I used to be OCD about my house but after having open heart surgery, bad back etc etc i just couldn't clean like i used to. The irony is REAL!
    Tfs & take care 🌹

great job!! Also you mentioned that you wished the floors would stay that shiny, but they are older. My floors are 100 years old, original to our home, I use future floor polish. Sqirt it on I get on my knees with a rag to rug it in, but you could use a mop to do it. And they will glisten and shine!! Anyway...good on you! Job well done!

You only need to number things if it makes you feel more productive. We know how much you've done - and are amazed! I haven't ever been so depressed that my house was "filthy" (your word), but I have been terribly unmotivated for several years and it shows in lack of neatness and organization. Before watching your videos the voice in my head said "Action is the cure." And you have proven fantastically that being productive not only makes you feel better, but the results and feeling better keep you motivated. You're awesome!

Another amazing job!! Love the covers for your furniture! Not sure if you have any extra blankets or throws but I have throw blankets and towels that I put on my furniture and my cats beds to help contain the cat hair. Then you just shake them out and toss in the washer. I still vacuum but it's much easier to wash something you can take off. If you don't have anything, if you can afford to thrift I bet you can find some useful stuff! I hope you take this as a helpful suggestion and not a bossy demand. Again I mean no offense and am so proud of what you're doing!!

You seem to be VERY good at doing you tube videos. The writing over the video footage telling us different things, excellent voice overs and your voice sounds do calm and peaceful. The editing and sped up bits too. All do hood! How did you learn? How do you do it?

    • @mynewme8759
      @mynewme8759  7 років тому +3

That is so nice of you to say!! I've mainly learned through trial and error. And from watching UA-cam videos. lol UA-cam is an amazing learning tool. Type in anything you want to learn how to do and you'll find a ton of videos showing you how. But I've learned I can't hurry the process. With the living room video, I had the cleaning all done and recorded, and it still took me another weekish to do the editing and voiceover. And so far I haven't been able to do a single video yet without screwing up the voiceover at least twice and having to start from scratch. So I think the calmness is just from repetition. lol And putting the words on the screen is just fun!! Thank you so much for the great comment and for watching!!

Yippee!!! You did it! I'm so proud of you!!! What a great feeling. I do get amazed at the dirty water when I pour it out. It's like I realize that there is dust and hair there, but the dirt gets me every time. I'm working on my list...I'm still in the kitchen! LOL! But, I did scrub the tub yesterday, so tomorrow if I do a quick wipe down in the bathroom with a good sweeping and a quick mopping the bathroom will be caught up. (yes I did the sink yesterday too, and the toilet tank has a bleach tab in it to keep the bowl sanitized, so I just need to wipe the outside). May I ask, what did you clean your old wooden floors with? I have very old wooden floors that greatly need mopping. Did you use Watergar?

You are cleaning physically and emotionally. You really are an encouragement to others. Who could shake their head or turn up their nose at your prior living conditions. You're actually doing something about your problem! Good for you. Can't wait to see what's to come.
