In these last 30 years it became clear that we evolved genetically to work in a world of small communities, and our minds are wired for that. This is why in the modern world a lot of people complain about the meaningless of the modern world. We are not connected to our groups, and this is one reason why team sports became so popular, to fill this void. I don't know if Tonnies considered the biological foundations of social organization. Maybe, with the theories of today, we can develop these ideas further.
I really believe we must create a new enlightenment focused on the community, and not in the individual. Maybe this is our only chance to build a more meaningful world. It would be a more conservative project that would go against some of our values. All these things about the rights of women and diversity are a product of a society of individuals. In a community these things make no sense.

great video, bad audio and video quality. I don't know if it was just my PC, but I only had the option of 144p, and the sound quality is therefore very poor.

I think that we can be member of a lot of communities in the same society. People are not with the same communities all the time, they can move between communities. Community is a social construction. But, as i see, the majority stay with their first communities in which they have been socialized in the early age.

So sorry this video is not up to par for you! As you can see from the publish date, it is going on eight years since I published it. My equipment then was poor; it's better now. I'm sure however that you can find another video here on UA-cam to explain the same concepts without having to listen to the poor quality of my work.
      Thanks for your comment :)
