I have seen this vehicle at our local dealership- have not test driven this vehicle yet......I found it to be quite nice - SIMPLE & not all the hi-tech they are putting in 99% of vehicles today🤑
I just got this same model...and if you know how and when to throw your paddle shifters and driving in sport mode it’s a tight very quick little vehicle not to mention the cargo capabilities love it
I own a 2016 HR-V EX-L with AWD. Overall, it's a great car. Good gas mileage and awesome packaging. It's slow and the driver's seat isn't great for people over 6 feet (I'm 6' 3"). Reliability has been perfect over 56,000 miles. Do yourself a favor and wait for the upcoming redesign. This current model is getting pretty outdated.
That's because it is the model just up from Nase model. I just bought one. I prefer the regular key. The electric starts have potential for too many issues.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE STUPID PUSH BUTTON!!! Why I gotta remove my hand from the key and take an extra step to start the car when I can just turn my wrist. Dumbest gimmick ever.
Yes, I’m looking to buy my first car and thinking Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross over this one. That one has more features on a more affordable price and low interest rate. I love Honda but I’m not at all impressed about this one
Because push-to-start and a sunroof are possibly useless/stupid options to shoppers at this end of the market. But, fear not! There’s a MOTORMOUTH ARABIA review (in the Middle East) of a 2019 model year, and that car has a PANORAMIC SUNROOF. You just need to move there to get the HR-V you want.
This car has a design flaw. I bought a 2021 HRV on March1, 2021 and noticed an irritating piercing whistling noise on my way home when I cracked open any front window or moonroof. I brought it back to Huntington Honda twice and they said they test drove 2 other new HRVs and they made the same horrible noise. So I'm basically told this is normal on all HRVs. I wonder if Honda has a design flaw or whether Huntington Honda is sitting on a bad batch?
I absolutely love the HRV’s body and what it has to offer, but I ABSOLUTELY HATE the front passenger’s foot space. Friend at church has a ‘16 one, and me being 6’1, I always ALWAYS prefer to sit in the back 😭
Does this suffer with the oil dilution problem or have they corrected this on the newer cars - seeing that the HRV came out after the reports of the oil problem
@@MikesCarInfo what’s the deal there. @@MikesCarInfo Yes but how often are people with this engine changing oil - is it going to be a case of one morning checking the oil 6 months in from regular trips and finding that the dipstick shows higher than normal and then you are causing damage to the engine and you have to call the agent to service the car or?
@@powderedtoastman3093 Change the oil as recommended in the manual. There is a huge amount of vehicles on the road with direct injection engines. I am curious... where are you getting this information? It seems quite hysterical.
I do need to comment. A regular car key is now categorized as a "Retro Key." You have pointed out the lack of door "opening" of the backseats and I wonder if it is purposely made that way to deter children when they exit the vehicle. I sent the link to this video to my father who is going to purchase this Honda HR-V Sport. I encouraged him to buy the small hand wand as wall as the MikesCarInfo stickers and magnets. He lives in southern PA, so understandably, they love magnets. :o)
No, that's for the EX models. The Sport is just one level up from the base model. So no power seats, Push start or lane assist. I just bought one. I still love it regardless of all that.
Sport is not the same as the EX (just a heads up), I just bought one. It goes in this progression... LX, Sport, EX then EX-L LX is the base model, where the Sport is just one small notch above LX. The EX and EX-L have all the fancier features.
Interesting note on the lights...the CR-V does have two lights in the cargo area, one on each side. It is amazing how many high $$$ vehicles have only one light in the back...usually on the dim side.
I have this exact year ,model. and color. what a slow pile of shit. talk about buyers remorse.. sure the car looks good . but what a joke.. especially calling it SPORT lol
The little pointer finger is the best part about this! Nice review

The Honda HR-V EX trim is the most bang-4-the-buck.

So cute! 😍
What about to see the tire pressure and things like that?
I be hitting those wind points good , I need a bigger intake though

nice car indeed
I need to know if this car has a setting somewhere to show the tire PSI ?? Thank you for any help you can give.

The HR-V is begging for a new generation. I'll pick one up if they can nail the styling and power next time.

For a subcompact SUV, the HR-V offers almost as much overall cargo space as the CX-5.

Does the front passenger seat lay flat so i can carry longer objects ?
Yes
Does this come in manual transmission?
Not anymore. There were some older model with standard transmission. They weren't selling well so they discontinued them.
5k oil changes is the best for r18 engines!
Can you fold manually the side mirror ?
yes
