that machine is worth every dollar you put in it ! it adds value to your company and allows you more options when bidding jobs. when i started my one man welding company i had deep pockets that were always empty but within 3 months i was rolling in cash. that machine still sits on my truck to this day , i had a painter stencil in big letters on it sides DADDYS LIL MONEY MAKER . it took me 25 years to build my company and alot of struggle my wife left me she said im tired of being broke . well i carrried on and when i sold my little company a few years ago i had 40 welders ,fitters and fabracators plus office people working for me. the day i handed over the company i told all my people to be in the parking lot at high noon because we gonna party. i had everyone line up and i gave everyone employed by me $1000 in cash and then we got drunk. struggle makes men strong easy living makes men weak ! GOD BLESS AMERICA ,your a hell of a man Jesse Muller stay strong .
You are remarkable! I love watching you problem solve. You don't skimp us on time or video. Love hearing your kiddos in the background. When I hear them say, "Hey Dad," while you are hard at work, I think what a good father, what a good example you are. It may surprise you to know I am a 71 year old retired nurse educator. I love learning from you. You appeal to all age groups and genre. God bless you young man. Be safe, cherish your family, and thank you for flying the American flag.
Jesse, Your attention to detail and your meticulous work pays off in the end. You can buy the machinery that others would buy for parts, but you can revive them an make them work. You have a gift that God has given you. And you provide for your family. You inspire many people, including me.
FATHER of the YEAR; that's what I thought when I saw that little tyke operating the boom. The experience and educational advantages you are giving your kids are priceless.
The fact alone that you held this video for 2 years until the machine was usable for your purpose deserves a like. Thank you for not uploading this project in 15 parts
@steve little. I admire your patriotism my friend. Sadly, there is not a lot of it here in my country. Old soldiers like me, get threatened by street thugs and gang members here, as i have been. God bless the United States of America, for saving my country from invasion WW2. Robert. Infantry Veteran. New Zealand.
Congratualtions, it took some work, but for less than $10K you got yourself something to build your house with and earn some money from. Well done and thanks for the entertainment, that was fantastic to watch.
And as I said from my side of the country or the world it's families everything cuz your program is a family it's a family show that we watch together in the evenings for at supper
Seeing someone salvaging broken equipment and restoring it to working condition is mesmerizing , relaxing and educational all at once. Awesome series ! 👍👍👍🤩👌👌
This type of episodes, where you buy a failed piece of equipment, troubleshoot, fix stuff and eventually bring it back to life are my absolute favorites. Or when Andrew does it. Or when your dad bought that excavator and fixed it. Those are the best ones. Well done!
I watch your programs from Jamaica they're very interested I love the works of mechanics when I used to go to school I wanted mechanic but I didn't get it but I still learn it from my dad and with my own car so mechanic is very fun thank you very much William Hank very good program and very good family program God bless you all from Jamaica
You'd think these big equipment manufacturers would prioritize ways of helping their equipment survive the wear and tear they are consistently subject to... stainless steel lines... powder coating pieces. We've come a long way in developing sturdy rust-resistant materials, but the manufacturers are slow to put them in place, you know? Or maybe I'm just seeing all the old equipment being worked on and never see the new equipment that has incorporated the advances in tech...? Love your videos... what a man can accomplish when he puts his mind to it... incredible!
A lot of terrible hard work an frustration is soon forgotten when you experience the final result of all your efforts, planning and execution of the plans! Yes, you do not have a new piece of equipment, but it will help you in achieving your building plans! May you experience much success as you proceed on your construction journey! I enjoyed you video very much, and your perseverance and thinking power. I also enjoyed the chatter and play of your children in the background! What a blessing they are!
Jesse, all we can say is "Sorry for the headache". But, thank God you're safe while working on this machine. May God Richly Bless your family with HIS LOVE.
Awesome job Jesse. Kudos on knowing when to reset plans. Always great seeing your son learning, and living every boy's dream of giant size Tonka trucks. God Bless You All.
I changed a lower control arm on my 1st car. Got frustrated after 30mins of trying finally just laid on the ground looking up and decided to go in the house and take a nap came out and it magically went into place in about 10 seconds. This video makes me realize that I could have progressed to this potentially but that first experience over 20yrs ago had me like f*** this I need to just make enough money to pay somebody 😭😂. Much respect on your mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge/fabrication skills.
yea all it takes is a few bad experiences and you just shy away from it. Happened to me many times. but when you dont have alot of money and have to start making a ton of repairs, you just sort of deal with it. Next thing you know you gained alot of experience and now even when you have the money, you still do it yourself because now you dont trust that someone else went through near as much as you
That basket cylinder pin really was something else. I was cheering when you turned the pin as that often helps to free them up and misaligns any wear between faces.
Over here in Australia Jesse, they would say you were a fair dinkum bloke not scared of a bit of hard yakka and it’s true, you certainly don’t shy away from tough jobs and you’re a great person to go with it. I love the content of your videos and the length is great. I also appreciate your commentary, it’s nice to hear how you work through processes and problems. Great outcome, cheers
Just got off the phone with the governors office & your the next winner for this month's prestigious Carmine Basilio 'save a buck make two down the line' award, for this award winning video. What da ya get ? Why a knuckle sandwich of course. Carmine will be right over to deliver. Work today, get paid down the road when you sell it. Still the best channel on You Tube.
Great job sir, love the flag at the end. I enjoy watching guys who do not shy away from complex tasks. Andrew, Matt, Ivan, Eric, Wes, and of course you seem to keep going forward no matter how hard the job is. We are given access to some very interesting stuff. Watching your long-form projects is fascinating. Can't wait to see you finish your home. Your logic is fascinating too. Thanks for sharing your family's journey.
Excellent work here, Jesse! Must feel good to get this project over the finish line! Congrats on getting yourself another nice piece of machinery that will help you going forward.
A nice addition to your inventory of equipment and your business. I especially like the flying of old glory, our American flag! "Thanks" for the knowledge and vedio!
Great video Jesse! I can only imagine the time you put into it on top of all of the work you did to the machine, Thank You. I agree with others that commented about the great ingenuity that went into figuring out better ways to overcome issues and always appreciate the honesty of frustration and challenge you share in your videos. I also wanted to point out that this video had excellent camera work and editing and great "in the action" shots that make for great content, keep up the great work on top of the hard work!
Jesse, One heck of a video! Can't believe that first place had those two cylinders for a year!!! God bless you, cause I would NOT have waited that long before I got those back. You have a lot to be proud of, not really knowing this machine and taking this project on the way you did. Great Video, and Thank you Jesse , for flying this country's flag. May she always proudly wave!
Am so pleased you did not give up on it Jesse. It will repay you back with the work you have in hand for it. Lovely vid. Thank you for sharing this with me.
Greetings from Colorado. This was a very enjoyable video. You and Andrew must have gone to the same school. You both have the ability to fix almost anything. Every problem you encountered was overcome. This was a long project, but I suspect it was a very satisfying effort. Hopefully that piece of equipment will continue to work for you for a long time. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to record and share this with us.
Outstanding. You are an amazing problem solver. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. You have the perfect mix of detail and excellent video editing.
Jesse This channel carries out a lot of this type of repairs and you might get some good ideas cee engineering Australia. Enjoying your channel many thanks
Congratulations perseverance when it's wins you work very hard at getting that telehand tell a hand orCongratulations perseverance when it's wins you work very hard at getting that Telehandler Fixed and you did a mighty fine job
Hi it’s good to see you working on the old machine most people would just look at them and thinks they’re heaps of junk but thank God you can see beyond what’s going on with them and to fix them up to keep them working
Jesse, how could you think you could t do something. You are the most talented and gifted person I have had to true pleasure to come across. Well done you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This exemplified what all DIY'ers have felt when something should NOT be so hard to take off - yet Murphy's law always seems to come into play.......... very well done.
Amazing how much effort you put in getting this old equipment running again. But if it makes it possible to do your work with it and gives you a change to make an upgrade in the future, you are not just building your house but also your business and future as well. Respect for that!
Nice job. Got concerned for a moment when it looked like you were going all "Andrew Camarata" on the cylinder cap. Subbing the job out to professionals with the right tools was the right decision. Glad it all worked out.
Nice work Jesse. I'm really working on learning the difference between what I can do and what I should do in terms of repairs based on how much my time is worth versus how much it cost to get somebody else to do it. It's always a struggle. I was raised by people who tried to do everything themselves and I still have a lot of that in me. And like you, I like learning how to do this stuff. But I earn a lot more doing my real job then I do when I do repairs around my house (And I'm not even doing anything fancy like rebuilding hydraulic cylinders).
Jessie, another 5 ⭐ video and the American flag to end it off that's a very heart warning considering what is currently going on in this country. God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
Great video Jesse. It was like watching a good long movie. Always good to see you accomplish new things. Also on the longer video you explain more on how and why you do this or that and thats very educational, and its make the viewers more anganged it the process and your struggles become our struggles and then you fix it somehow and we all get exited.
Wow what a massive undertaking. Thanks for another incredible video Jesse. Such a shame you got screwed around with the cylinders. Amazing determination and will power Great job 👏
Considering how long ago you bought this you might have doubled your money just sitting on it unrepaired with the way used equipment is priced these days. Fully functional you are way ahead for sure. I threw in the towel on my cylinders as well, too much risk on guesswork of the right seals and assembly vs someone who can do it in a week. Thanks for taking us along for the ride as always, can't wait to see the end of the house project Jesse!
Good move with the kevlar sling softners. When you lifted it first I though oh shit not good dude. Brought back memories of a guy killed here at work when he was lifting a big cable with a block on the end. No softners, sling broke and cable fell on him and he died instantly. Poor guy
So glad it all worked out for you. It sounds like you really need to use this machine. Best of luck in building your house. Keep up the great videos enjoyed watching.
I so felt your pain with the issues as well your excitement for a job well done. Projects always take me twice as long and cost twice as much. Great video.
Take a beat up piece of machinery and make it whole again - wtg Jesse - and then build a home, set in a huge solar panel, etc, etc. All the best to you and the family!!!
When watching you work I see my Dad working on his equipment. It has been years since he has been gone, but I can still smell the dirty grease and makes me miss him all the more. I love that you got one of you sons to help you. Made me smile. Thanks for the memories.
You can hear one cylinder is low compression because the starter speeds up when that cylinder is on compression. Awesome Jessy. Now just add some fresh paint and it'll look like a lull that is freshly painted.
Great video content Jess I was glued to the screen, what a fantastic tool to have at your disposal as you said very versatile and perfect for your house build and many other jobs that you need a long reach high lift tool. Thanks Jess Tom. 🇬🇧
Looks like you have another good Pettibone there. Really good machine for that price, you did really well. I will say congratulations to you. Couldn't be in better hands.
Hollywood can’t keep my attention for 90 minutes. I’ve watched this for almost 2.5 hours and was good.
Thanks

@Karen Cary , you have taken the words out of my mouth . Jesse makes truly excellent videos with content second to none in my opinion .
Always a great feeling when you fix your own machines. Still waiting for that shop you deserve. I understand. House / Family first.
Thanks, I hope to build a 40x60 next year.
You are the only You Tube presenter that I will watch for 2 1/2 hours.
What amazes me is that there’s guys who do this shit every day for a living. Hats off to ya’ll. You keep the country running.
That one place had your cylinders for almost a year?!? That's insane dude, you are one patient man
Yeah that ridiculous. Especially at the end refused to do them.
Sometimes we forget how incompetent some people can be
That wouldn't have flown @ CEE
You will be well rewarded for you work and patience in repairing your telehandler, it will be used a lot in your various endeavors. Nice finish!
Jesse's video shows an amazing herculean task.
The wife and I designed and built our home in 1982.
I am 71 now, all I can do now is watch Jesse.

Jesse, you continue to amaze me with your yankee creativity to solving problems, keep up the good work!
Now that's how you end an epic video.
Well done on the wrenching.
Yes you needed this machine for your house build.
I am proud of you and your dad, he raised a righteous vato! Perfect ending!!
Wise decision to have the cylinders rebuilt in a shop. Your time is valuable.
Thank you for flying the flag at the end Jesse. Us old vets tear up and swell with pride when we see it.
