Yeah trying to hit head dog is a nightmare because of its weird hitbox. They always just spam jump and even when i see it go through their body it just misses. Everything else is fine but head dog just sucks to try to hit
there’s a big counter to horror axe’s clone move which is by hearing the slash move since the clone does not replicate the slash sound, once you found them it’s probably over for them
Some extra details Horror gets Hunger passively as well, and only his axe related moves give Hunger. In the hunger state these moves will still give you HUNGER so you can prolong your hunger state for a viciously stupid amount of time if you can hit your dashes, throws, and head dogs. In the Hunger state Horror also loses his charged head dog variant, because well he already has a dash in the phase.
I use horror a lot and I found if your very aggressive you can win pretty quick, however this does use a lot of saturation, a quick tip is that instead of walking away from your decoy you should camp it as if they do try to attack you you lose a bit of saturation but gain ur back from the high damage of the decoy’s trap
here is a small tip. your blink is helpful to catch people off guard. if you use blink then spike surround, you wont be stuck in place and instead will get a big bone zone basically.
Horror axe is easily counter able due to your spike zones and since the horror axe when enraged they go to fast for them to react to the spike wave and with your spike surround its a deadly combo.
tip for those fighting horror as a chara if horror is looking to land headog on you, hitting them will more times than not force the horror to dodge away resulting in the head dog being missed. just remember to be slightly aggressive against horror to trip him up and to not let him do what he wants to do.
TIP FOR NON UPGRADE 2 HORROR USERS: Use decoy, If one of the charas falls for it, and doesn't tank the damage to get out of the barriers, Use bonezone or bone wave.

for the tough glove in the hunger phase is almost a death wish. if you counter and try to rush you are dead, if you try and arial away horror can catch up with a dash, and if you try to counter the axe throw it does get rid of the initial damage but you will still bleed making it almost useless. Horror is extremally balanced and unbalanced at the same time. If your good with him he is almost unstoppable, but if your anything less it is basically the worst character you can choose from.

Horror ignores slowing moves that are on the ground so killer knife just sucks since that's all they really have going for them. Sure dt overload is good but not when it slows you before slashing so you don't really need to be able to see when a axe is already flying at their head. The tp is also not the best due to horror literally being able to dash the same distance and outrun you.
With the real Knife sure you have fissure but that is easy to dodge as horror and same with the dash. if you just dodge the dash the real knife has literally made themselves lose half their hp and you can also place a beartrap between them and yourself when they dash causing them to literally throw themselves into a instant kill attack.
My strat is worse but.... effective somehow? Ok so First, when you start, use close range moves (and axe throw because if you use it and then headdog you can get some damage) and keep it up until hunger, but if you get low stamina, begin with the high range moves, and the other ones too, and if you are in danger, use hunger and kill people decoying them (with not moving) and then use the spike surround, so then rinse and repeat until everyone ded
I would like to make a suggestion for a for dummies video. I would love to see a tutorial on 3dbb/The Bonewalker. Once I get enough wins for the bonewalker (since I have the exp already) I’m gonna main them so hard, so a tutorial to kill the prey effectively would be highly appreciated! The amount of effort and detail you put into these videos would help me (and other bonewalker mains) do our job as literally the only dull knife counter effectively. I’d assume this would be near the end of the series since it’s such an overpowered character, but I’d like to see it nonetheless. (Unless you don’t have 3dbb which would be a shame.) Edit: if you would prefer not to make tutorials on event characters for the sake of having tutorials that can be used by every ULC player than that’s completely fine. Either way I can’t wait to see what your next “for dummies” episode is gonna be! You are highly underrated, and deserve more attention. (the good kind.)
