Spinning out of Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli's ULTIMATE UNIVERSE #1, rising stars Deniz Camp (CHILDREN OF THE VAULT, 20th Century Men) and Juan Frigeri (INVINCIBLE IRON MAN) assemble an all-new team of ULTIMATES in a series that kicks off the next chapter of the new Ultimate line. Six months ago, Tony Stark sent Peter Parker a radioactive spider to set him back on the course to become Spider-Man. I love it, especially because it isn't even Victor Von Doom. It's this universe's ORIGINAL Reed Richards from before the Maker ruined everything. It's such a cool concept

Tony never contacted Ultimate Black Panther or Hisako in Ultimate x-men. In fact, Wakanda is the only place on Earth 6160 that was seemingly not impacted by the Maker's council.
Except Konshu and Ra are on the council and attacking Wakanda. Hard to tell if that has anything to do with the council or just vibranium or whatever they found in the last issue though.
@@dubcwherever They're attacking Wakanda but that seemed to have began after the Maker was locked in the dome. Either way I don't believe T'Challa was contacted by Tony. Unless we get to see it in a flashback or something
I imagine Ra will die in the first story arc, and the council will take notice, feel threatened, and make a hasty decision.
Id rather him join later or not at all, it’d be even more interesting if Storm and him become half of the Ultimate Fantastic Four or something crazy

Sony, but the Fantastic Four are presumed dead before they even existed (except for Reed Richard, of course).
And the other Human Torch is Jim Hammond, the original Human Torch.
If the Fantastic Four ends up existing in this universe, they will most likely be radically different in this universe...like just about everything else.

True but that's not why we hate the French, most British people don't even know our own history very well, (I personally don't hate them to be clear), it the perception that all french people are intellectual fashionistas swanning around their apartments, naked from the waist down, sipping wine, composition poetry, having sex with our girlfriends while we go to work in the rain

The most fascinating thing that I will say about this brand new Ultimate Universe is that they try to have it where young Tony Stark is trying to create Captain Marvel and Hawkeye on his first attempt but it ended up having disastrous results.
However in his second attempt he was able to create giant Man and Wasp so I definitely like the direction that they're doing for this brand new Ultimate Universe and in some ways it kind of reminds me of how a younger version of Tony Stark was brought into the main Avengers timeline I think it was back in the 80s and that younger version of Tony had lived the life of his adult self before eventually his body caught up to him.
I think captain marvel is still alive? I could be wrong but honestly having giant man and wasp back on the team is dope

Its because in Ultimate Invasion, Kang is implied to be a future version of Tony Stark
@@chaosagent2308Plus even the name Iron Lad is foreshadowing, as the 616 Iron Lad was a version of Nathaniel Richards who didn’t want to grow up to be Kang.

When I first heard about the "Ultimate Invasion" event, I thought they were going to literally have characters from the original Ultimate Universe invade Earth 616, due to the bunch of illustrations showing characters from that universe. But after following the entire Ultimate Invasion saga, I was excited to know more about this new alternate MARVEL universe.

I got really into comics about 10 years ago. About 5 or 6 years ago I kind of got out of it and I forgot why. When the new ultimate stuff came out I figured it would be a good time to get back into it. I remember why I got out of comics. It's painful how short each story is and how long it takes between issues. I just want more!
The first issue got me hooked. Especially when Cap was talking to Hank. I felt it.

I don't normally give much thought to Hank Pym in 616 outside of how that one accidental panel did him dirty (they COULD have fixed that, instead of leaning into it), but I DO love how they disassociate THIS Hank from that one in one simple, but subtle way... Seeing what our Hank was like and what happened with him, instead of being arrogant and thinking "Oh I can be better than that because I'm the ReallySmartGuy!" it terrified him because he didn't want to become THAT person.
That alone sets up a good baseline for a much different Hank.

Nope. There have been multiple times the original Ultimate Universe has appeared or directly referenced, but for some reason Marvel keeps ignoring that.
No new universe new characters. It gives the writers more space and its better for people who don't want to read 700 issues of back story.

You're wrong about the time frame.
It's all happening in real time. Tony and the others escaped Ultimate Invasion (Dec 2003) to now (Jun 2024) six months later. They went back six months to Ultimate Spider-Man 1 (Jan 2024) and gave him the spider.
In Ultimate Invasion it was said that The Maker was trapped for 2 years (Dec 2025), which is 18 months from now. So we've got 18 real months so see how they plan for that.

One thought and two questions come to mind. The thought is I hope the MCU is wholly influencing this comic run because the idea of the aftermath of the secret war giving us ultimates is amazing. Show us a fully formed team with characters we know nothing about then give us individual stories. Basically what they did with The Avengers in reverse. My questions are: Will the ultimates(comic) give us Adam Basher in some capacity and if so are we getting a new origin story for Blue Marvel? That said however it goes, I'm here for it! Hers hoping he is portrayed as slightly older and bares a striking resemblance to Denzel Washington
