Story:
Weeks after their major defeat at the Kharkadon system, the IMDC have decided to launch the newly-commissioned Defiant, a heavily armored warship with only one purpose: avenge their fallen comrades and destroy the remaining rogue elements.

Man 1:18 gives me the chills. Those missiles are just so perfectly arching, moving fast, and the camera giving the sense that they're moving faster is just awesome.
Just wow. I don't know what to say. It's too good! Also, I don't know why but I feel inspired to build a warship.

One of the best, if not the very best, SE cinematic ever. The way you use the recent visuals update is just glorious, and the scene with the fighters (and their following shiny destruction) is just leagues above what I could possibly achieve back then when I still had the game. The song choice and the way the video matches it adds even more to be honest. Great job, and you deserve all the views and likes m8! :D

That was the greatest SE Cinematic short I've ever seen! Truly just amazing what can be done with SE and an idea... It's exactly what I've always tried to do in SE (Not the creation of filming a cinematic part, but the warfare and the battles...). Of course, mods make things work better, like the energy shields mod, beam drill (Although it's just meant for drilling, I hope someone makes a mod that functions the same way as the beam drill mod, but designed as a weapon that can be activated and from orbit and decimate it's targets instantly (similar to how the death star's primary weapon works, but much more powerful and smaller than it...)... Back to the video, well done, just a brilliant job....

Video was superb. Song could have been different, doesn’t really have a “revenge” feel to it. Maybe not the best song choice, but the editing was extraordinarily well done. Kudos to you for an excellent video.

assuming you are using the ingame replay tool. How did you get the engine flairs and the camera smoothness?? Looking to do a cinematic myself using my ships
Also, what mod did you use to make the thrusters and bullets light up like that?
Those were vanilla at the time, until it got changed in the later updates.

I didn't. The mod was still working when I uploaded this. It's a deprecated mod now AFAIK.

somehow... Space engineers fail for me in the sence that everything seems small. If you have this huge ship but somehow... It feels small. Its maybe the dept of field or something. But other than that amazing visuals.
Vanilla ships with billion of thrusters looks ugly. Add some mods
