    Does this derivation prove the approximations when in degrees too?

      The derivatives wouldn't be correct as the derivative of sin(theta) is (pi/180)*cos(theta) in degrees

    dumb question but what actually counts as small? would an exam question tell you to use small angle approximation, or are you expected to use it if theta is within some certain values?
