For those wondering what happened, it wasn't technical difficulties. Papa Roach's set was right before this and he had no idea who Death Grips were, much less that they hadn't been active for nearly half a decade and this was one of the most anticipated sets of the event. So towards the end of his set he goes, "how much time do we have left?? 10 minutes?? FUCK THAT! We're going for 12!" and he cut into Death Grips' set time. At the end of his set he was like "Thanks guys, give it up for Death Grip." (couldn't even get their name right) and after he left the stage Andy and Ride had to haggle with the festival crew for like 5 minutes to find out how much of their set they could still play. I'm pretty sure them choosing to tease only the opening to The Fever and then stopping everything and leaving after edging the audience was lowkey a passive-aggressive jab at the festival for telling them they couldn't play a full set at the last minute.
First time I saw them was a small alley in L.A. for the first mad decent block party in l.a. then saw them the next year at coachella. Both intensely hot days but for me that's how I always remember them 😂 so it's quite the opposite experience for me.i think I've also seen them twice at night but that was later
Brightest i ever saw them was like 6pm-ish in the summer at afropunk at commodore Barry park. Small stage. Not the 2019 one, earlier. fun!! The 2019 even better!

I was there and I told my friend everyone was having a heat stroke and singing it wrong 😂 but the audio was playing the chorus part during the verse so it was very confusing for people to be fair

i almost got trampled because the crowd didn’t know how to calm down. i had to get pulled out bc there was full GROWN MEN pushing and shoving. idek if he tried to control his crowd. i bet his music is good it just he needs to control his crowd.
Push pits are pretty common at shows like this. This is pretty tame compared to other shows I've been to. I'm guessing you don't go to a whole lot of aggressive shows.
