Hey man thanks for the shout out. You like “basic and poor guy…inexpensive”, yeah me too, that’s why I like Old Smokey. Also because they cook great! Best value in the barbecue industry. Great video. Again thanks.
I love Big Lews channel. He's a good guy. I can't wait to see what you cook on this baby. And that bamboo charcoal sounds pretty interesting, too. Have a great week, Rob. 👍
Thanks for sharing the Old Smokey build. Look forward to seeing that Bamboo and how it brings flavor to the food. I hope you can describe what the flavor is
Hey Dave. Yeah man. Both these products are very interesting. I've never worked with either. It'll be a learning experience for sure. Appreciate you sir.
Hey Rob😃I like the price of that😁American made is GREAT!!!!!!!Looked easy to put together too😀I'm going to look into getting oneThank you sharing👍🏻ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
Fred!! Right on. Inexpensive, basic and American made. Three huge wins in my book. Give them a look. Hope I can figure it out. Lol Rock on Fred!✌🏼🤙🏽👍🏼🤘🏼
Too cool, Rob! I can’t believe I thought this was a new thing as I’ve seen them on a few videos. That is too awesome my friend. Can’t wait to see what you come up with on it.
Good video Rob! Big Lew has tempted me many times to get an Old Smokey, I just have slept on it. The bamboo charcoal looks interesting, and I will be there for your first cook! Rock On!
I've own one for three years and live in the Midwest It works great all year long, I added two Weber charcoal baskets and an 18 inch Weber flip top grill for smoking. Total investment under $90.00.
It reminds me of a couple feed buckets put together lol. It's a nice small smoker. Wonder how long it will actually hold up if it isn't very heavy duty. Will be cool to watch you use it for the first time. And those are some interesting sounding charcoal. Neat they sent it to you to test out. I look forward to seeing how well they work.
Old Smokey, used to be a bucket and pail company. Until 1953 when an employee made a grill using two of their buckets. Ten years later by 1963 it was just a grill company.
I get five to eight years out of them. Some only get two or three years out of them. Yet some claim a couple of decades with them. Look, they are a good value and American made. Yet they are not heirloom quality grills, you won’t pass them down to your grand children. So what they cook great and with proper care you will get your money’s worth.
Only time will tell since this is my first one. I love the price and simplicity. I'm not particularly good with electronics. Lol. Definitely looking forward to learning with the grill and charcoal. Thanks my friend. ✌🏼
Cool vid Rob. The bamboo charcoal looks interesting. Ill have to see if I can get some on this side of the world. Looking forward to the next vid!! Dave😎
Looks cool !! Man I can't wait till the weather gets warmer !! Im ready to grill 👍🔥. I need a new smoker ,my old off set smoker rusted out😢. Great video my friend 😊

Someone is gonna need a BIGGER patio! LOL! Looks cool!
I gotta stop Tom!!! Thanks my friend!
I have one that is great for old fashioned barbecue. You wont have to worry about it breaking down on you like a pellet grill. Parts are cheap too.
Exactly. Sometimes less is more. Thank you sir.
Nice looking grill, look forward to seeing the first cook on it my fellow Okie friend.
Hey John! It'll be a challenge for me to learn but I'm willing to broadcast all that. Lol. Thanks my friend.
I just got the 22 and smoked a 4lb pork loin on Sunday. Snake method with a small mix of hickory and cherry chips. Turned out pretty 🔥.
Hey that's awesome! I'm loving mine. I still have some learning to do. Thanks for taking time for us.
Looks cool !! Man I can't wait till the weather gets warmer !! Im ready to grill 👍🔥. I need a new smoker ,my old off set smoker rusted out😢. Great video my friend 😊
Take a look at the Old Smokey website Tim. You gotta get your grill on! Thanks brother.

That's a nice-looking barrel, Rob! Is it pretty heavy gauge?
Thanks Eric. No sir. It's quite light.
I always had a rough time cooking on those kind of grills. I would always burn the meat.
Hopefully I can figure it out.
