THANK YOU . THANK YOU!!! . I watched this video the night before my interview and was able to prepare better. My interview was awesome! I got in on my first try. It’s great to see persons of color in anesthesia. You improved my confidence as a minority applicant and gave GREAT advice. You’re doing awesome work. ♥️
Did my first interview and I crashed and burned. I got waitlisted for that school. I got a another interview coming up and I'm going to nail it. Thanks for the tips!
Rachel Oakman sis!! Waitlisted is not a crash and burn! Stay in contact with them, tighten up on what you feel like you did wrong... you can always schedule a mock interview with me on my website thesrnadrip.com
@@theCRNADrip it was pretty bad lol. I think they only gave the benefit of doubt because of what I looked like on paper. And towards the end I got better. But it was even a chemistry question I knew the answer to but I just told them I didn't know 🤦🏾♀️. Imma look on your site about the mock interview and set that up. I'm determined to get into CRNA school so imma do whatever it takes.
I have been looking for someone who is a natural teacher in the world of UA-cam info and really you are the most helpful, succinct and information that is immediately applicable! Thank you so MUCH! I'm hoping to go for my ABSN SOOOON. My goal is CRNA and you've been so inspiring!
PJ, you are simply amazing! Your Tips are, without a doubt, informative and helpful. You are truly a blessing and have inspired me more than you know. No wonder why I follow you on every social media, lol. You are low-key, my mentor. I am still applying to schools, and I have bookmarked this page for reference cos I will need to work on mirror speech.
Thank you for this video!!! I have my first CRNA school interview in a couple weeks and it’s a one way digital interview so I’m extremely nervous!! This helped so much!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it helped! Good luck on your interview. Make sure you’re in a quite environment, make sure you’re WiFi is secure. Possibly think about getting a cheap Ethernet cord if you have a modem/router. Make sure your background wall isn’t distracting, stay connected to the interviewers through out the interview.
Thank you! This is hands down the best interview advise video I’ve ever seen! The advise you are giving not only apply to CRNA school interviews but interviews in general. Much appreciated.
Thank you for this, I didn’t even know there were online admissions information sessions! I signed up for mine right away and it was in 2 weeks 😬. Great info!! Will keep following your vids…
@@theCRNADrip yes. I have been having friends interview me and focusing on both clinical and personal questions. It is pretty much guaranteed they'll ask me why I want to be a crna and why they should pick me. So I have been focusing on that and clinical questions pertaining to my patient population. It will be zoom style this year, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it will be 6 professors and 2 students surrounding me virtually. Like you, my hand movement can get very distracting so I've been focusing on toning it down. If it's meant to be I will get in 😀
Ramiro Fernandez PERFECT!! That’s the best way to practice... keep putting yourself in uncomfortable situations. I do offer mock interview services if you or anyone you know is interested
@@theCRNADrip ill keep that in mind. I'll keep you posted. I've been pursuing this thing for the longest time that I can't even picture myself doing anything else. Thank you again for your time 👍
So glad I found your channel! I've seen other videos related to the interviews and many have talked about group interviews. Since you didn't really touch up on it, I wanted to ask what can I do to feel calm and focused with that many eyes on me? I have very bad anxiety and I feel like the more eyes I see, the more on edge I'm going to be. It's more than a pair of eyes, more than one mind, more than one perspective. I can see how it can be more beneficial this way because if one disliked you, but the other 2-3 did, it can weigh the interview better. At the same time, I feel like my heart will jump out of my body lol I'm not the sweating type when nervous, but I am 100% a figgity person.
Do you need a working experience to know how you deal with stress.. I'm a 1st year nursing student and I want to become a CRNA . Truth to be told I wouldn't know how to answer that question.
Just starting my nursing career, on a stroke, telemetry unit. How can I get the critical care certification? I don't want to work with kids so should I just do acls or pals as well
shakeira brazzell congrats!! And welcome to the jungle lol. If by critical care certification you mean the CCRN, then you need to be on a critical care (ICU, CCU). ACLS Would be first and foremost. And then you can do PALS later. You don’t have to work with kids to get it. You may just have to pay out of pocket for it
Connor Livingston are you speaking of Lena Gould from Diversity mentorship for CRNA.... Know her for yrs.. She started the program post her graduating from LaSalle.. How was it??
@@theCRNADrip How? I'm only asking because I also have also attend CRNA diversity mentorship with Lena Gould several times as well here in Philadelphia and Nj where she is from.. I shadow in multiple cases and states. However one of the CRNA school Directors ask for potential SRNA to draw a diagram of organs of the ICU they work in the most.. for example(Neuro, CTICU, Cardiac) Circle of Willis,.. Heart and every artery/vein etc. More in depth than Medical School interview.. I'm sure you seen her if you attended the Diversity Sim lab.. I was just wondering how do you think they get around drilling people. Thanks♥️
eduardo santos idk about retaking it but I think they mainly look at science gpa that’s really important of course they look at gpa overall but they also look at science gpa separately
ScooperPDoodle it depends on the school and the application pool that you apply in... those numbers in general should be adequate enough to get you an interview in most places, where you apply and WHEN you apply
DEFINTELY depends on the school... group panel interviews can be intimidating BUT that’s a greater chance for the tides to sway in your favor, if one person is on the fence and the other three people sway them them more than likely you’re good, vs one person making all the choices

I was about to say the same . I love to see a person of color as an anesthesia provider . Makes me feel proud , represented and encouraged.

You have to work in an ICU to obtain your CCRN and to be qualified to apply for CRNA school. Apply to some ICUs girlfriend! Good luck!
Do they really remember you from virtual sessions?

Question if I have a 3.5 gpa but got an C+ in chem should I retake it or should I just take a higher chem class ? Also do they average both gpa ?
