Great demo! I’m so glad I watched the entire thing. I became the new owner of a shop that already carried these waxes and I was unfamiliar with the product and only just now when the packaging changed have I gone and tried to learn more about them. So this was informative in so many ways (and four months after the release!) so thankful for UA-cam!
Hello from USA, Northern California where our state is having horrible fires again this year. So happy to find you on UA-cam to learn something new and get lost in your tutorial. Thank you.
Thank You!! Great info & demonstration. I have a few tins that I love and I don’t think will ever run out. This just makes me want to do more with them & of course, get more.
I absolutely love the waxes but I still prefer the tins. I'm very careful about squeezing the tube from the bottom but I still find that sometimes too much wax pops out. But I love how they look on a project.
Can the waxes in the tubes be squeezed into tins for use? I do not like the tubes, wax can seperate inside the tube, and/or splooge out when you take the cap off. Also difficult to put excess splooge back in tube. Bring back the tins please!.
I love this product. I have many tins and they have not dried out...even after a few years. I also find the scent of the wax pleasant. This product takes any project to the next level. ❤️
I started to get complaints from customers regarding the packaging, they say tubes are less reliable - they crack at the seams and the product leaks, so they have to relocate the wax to another jar/bottle/etc., is there any solution to reduce such cases in future releases?
Hope the plastic tops are good quality. I've found with other tube products, i.e. Rub'n'Buff, that the tops often crack. When a product goes hard in a tube, as opposed to a tin, that's it. You can't revive it. Very disappointed with the change.
Thank you for letting me know, so far my tubes didn’t crack and I didn’t hear about this problem from the other users. I’m sorry you don’t like the change but it was done according to customers’ suggestions. I wish we could have them in both versions 😔
I really learned so much from this video. Thank you, Anna. I didn't realise you live in Ireland. I live in Galway. Very new to Finnabair, gradually building my supplies. 😍😍
First time watching one your videos... loved it! So helpful!! I just ordered some tubes from Amazon and I’m sure to get more. I’ve subscribed to your channel and planning to watch more videos . I love your work 💜
Your video was very helpful! I purchased a few tubes of the Metallique while at Mrs. O'Leary's art store, in Wichita, Kansas, last month, so I was happy to get more information on these great products!
I recently purchased about 20 tubes from Amazon and A Cherry On Top. I have to say I prefer the original tins over the new tube packaging. I barely squeezed the first tube and about an inch of product came out. I opened a 2nd tube and pressed less this time but the same result. Be very careful or you may end up with too much product released and wasted.
I wish you'd put your metallique paints and if possible rust pastes into tubes also. I have so many issues (even storing upside down) with paint drying out and getting thick globs around the sides. And my rust pastes too. I Love the products but hate the pots.
@@sheilaegeland You must try these products. They're really good. The Finnabair waxes are made by an Italian company called 'Redesign By Prima' and they're available everywhere, I think. I live in Australia and they're available in the state where I am, so I'm sure you'll be able to find the products where you live.
Thank you so much for the information, can you tell me where is the best place to get your products as a retailer here in the UK (i.e someone who stocks all your products for the trade) as some only stock a few which is frustrating trying to locate everything in one place xxx
I bought some of the wax 'guessing' about the color value. You used some other colors that I believe will work better for me. Can you share where to purchase resin moulds?
Hello from Chile! I discovered your products a year ago when I traveled to the USA, before the pandemic. Bought the mystic turquoise and aged bronze, love them both and the smell! Do you have any suppliers in Chile? I can order some through Amazon but they don’t carry the whole line. After watching your video and learning so much from it, I went straight to Amazon to order but was disappointed not all the ones you showed were available. Thank you!
G'day. I've only just come across the tubes of your metallic waxes. I have many tins and absolutely love this product and the smell is so delicious I wish it were a food, but just lately when I have had to replace a wax I've been presented with the tube. I didn't know the packaging had changed and I'm sorry to say the changed packaging and more importantly the formula is for me not the same quality/consistency that I found with the tin formula. Could both Tins and Tubes be made available to consumers? My tins have lasted me for a very long time and have found they stay usable. As all artists know, the materials we use are sometimes expensive. I do love this range and also have many other products from Finnabair but I will explore other waxes. :(
I’m sorry to say but both tins and tubes are impossible to offer at this time. The formula of the eases in the tubes was done a bit more creamy to make the taking the portion of the product out easier, this is the only difference we made. There were too many complaints about tins from the customers, so sadly we had to change the packaging solution. I’m sorry we can’t provide both.
I agree with you. One of my favourite metallique waxes is Aged Brass. The new wax in the tube however it is a completely different colour. It's more gold than the original. And although I agree that some of the waxes in the tins dried out, or were leaking and not closing properly, the texture has changed as well. It applies very differently because of its creamy formula and has not got as good a coverage as before!
Can't you get a friend to take some for you from the US? I live in Portugal and you can't get them here either, so I just annoy friends of mine and ask them to buy some things for me!!
Love the video! I have a question. I just bought the Bronze Age tube to cover my light fixture canopy which is brushed silver. How well does it look on smooth surfaces and do I need to prepare the surface first?
Hi and thanks! The best result is when you prime the surface with gesso of any kind, to get the matte finish and better application of wax! Waxes are very way to apply and you can buff them too, after they are dry!
No, these 2 separate things. Art Alchemy is my line- Finnabair and the products are different, more focused on mixed-media art and home decor, but thy work well for furniture too!
This is not mold although it looks funny. This is wax separation and is a kind of a thing similar to a bloom on a chocolate. Simply blend it in, you can warm the wax a bit to make it easier ☺️
From what I can see it doesn't have the same consistency as the tins. I always preferred using my finger but with this one it won't have the same effect. Very disappointing for me.
I'm sorry you are disappointed - they are the same product, but a bit more soft to make the squeezing out of the tube easier. I use them with my finger 90% of the times but squees them on the palette first and pick up from there, I hope this helps!
@@FinnabairArtStudio It's still not the same because I still will have to dab to remove the excess. Why have you changed to tubes? I had to dig to find a way to make my own and I did. I love your products but one thing I don't understand. Your embellishments all have a nice finish and my question is why not make them without a nice finish because most of the time we cover them with gesso.
Hi there!!!! I absolutely love this waxes...I just have one question that maybe somebody can answer...I'm about to travel by plane and I want to take them with me, but I have no idea what's the composition and if it's possible to take them with me...I never bring paints or materials with me, but this time I really want to...but since there's so much things to consider with luggage and creams, solvents and paints I'm not sure if I can take them and if I can, where...I was thinking to have them on my carry on bag, since they are small...suggestions?? thanks!!!!

Turpentine as it is oil based product!
