Yeah I never said it wasn’t a nice Tractor. What I will say was that if you watch the three videos I did on these two you quickly see that you get more with Massey. As far as trade-in value goes we trade for a ton of Massey‘s and they hold their value pretty dang good as well. Thanks for watching.
Yes, I've never understood peoples outlook on these. The Deere's I've gotten into are always super compact and uncomfortable. Honestly the Massey's that better compared to Deere's current 5075E's would have been the 4200 series tractors built in the late 90's, but even then those still had nicer features than the Current Deere's.
@@prequipmentsales I think i made my point . You compared a tractor that is not similar. Trying getting similar tractors in same year. Times change and yes so do prices. In where i am heat and ac in a cab would be needed in this area. I would pay more for those features.
Before I bought my Powerstar 75 I looked at the JD 5075, and the Massey 4707. The Massey was nice but it felt wayyy too bulky and the cab is huge compared to rest of tractor. The PTO hp is also too low for the size of tractor it is, and to me felt way underpowered. It came down to me between the JD and NH. I went with the NH because of price but really wanted the JD. Ive since sold the NH and went to JD lol
You’re the first person I’ve ever heard complain about a cab being too big and I’ve been at this a while! Around here the Massey being a larger tractor is a benefit especially after you ride in one all day in the field. Thanks for watching!
@prequipmentsales It also came down to several other factors such as dealership prices and service, my family has had masseys for as long as I can remember, and I like massey, but just wasn't crazy about the 4700 series.
Amen. Prior to opening my dealership I worked for Agco technical services specializing in the premium Massey tractors from 100hp up so I’m extremely familiar with that lineup as well.
The point of this video was to compare the Deere tractor closest in price to the Massey not closest in features. An M or an R is significantly more money. Thanks for watching
@@prequipmentsales they're also significantly better. An easy example as to why I would make this claim would be to compare their transmissions. I think you're making a false claim. Just because you picked a dealership that marked the Deere way up doesn't give a true comparison on listed prices from the OEM. Pretty sure a 4700 series opinioned out compared to a 5E with similar power optioned out that the MSRP on the 4700 series is noticeably higher. Prices on Tundras are high, and marked up, so is comparing a Tundra to a Ram 2500 a fair comparison? Before I bought my 5075E I compared it to a M7060, and a 2607H. When you look at their features, weight, loader/3PH specs, tire options, wheelbases, and MSRP's it's obvious that these are the tractors meant to compete with the 5075E. I wanted the 2607H because it reminds me if the older Fords I grew up on, it's the best looking IMO, and it sounded the best. Still it's price better reflect it's value which it didn't. It's cash price was fair, but it's finance price was terrible compared to the 5E and M60. First to compare them to the 2600H you have to buy OSS which is what I was shopping for. Second, after going on a year trying to get a 2607H for a fair price the best I was ever quoted in 17/18 for a MFWD/911X machine was $36,750, while the best prices I got for the M7060 was $36,000, and $36,200 for the 5075E and these are both 12x12 powershuttle tractors. Other than the powershuttles both the Deere and Kubota have noticeably higher rated loaders and 3PH's, wet clutches instead of dry clutches like the 2600H, biggers seats/flatter floors/larger operator areas, better control placement especially the hand throttles, tilt steeringwheels, tighter turning radius's, noticeably larger gas tanks, 540/540E PTO's, their not TAFE tractors which many people don't like. The 2607H advantages were no regen, (even though my 75E only regens at every 100 hours because the computer doesn't let it go over that without a regen, and the 2023 5E 3 cylinder tractors switched from DPF to DOC like the MF has) the little ball 3PH mounts setup for both cat1 and cat2 implements is covenant, and the 06H/07H both get 2 rear remotes as standard, where the 5E and M60 make you have to spend extra money to get and extra 1 or 2 rear remotes. The biggest issue for the M60 is it lacks weight where the 75E and 07H both weigh almost 6,000 lbs dry. The biggest issue I find with the 75E is it's down a 2 or 3 PTO HP to the other machines. The biggest problem for the 2600H is it lacks desirable features, and capabilities that put it behind the 5E and M60 Series, but it's not reflected in the price unless you're able, or even willing to drop all the money down on it at once. See what I did there.?.? I gave and honest and fair comparison between three machines that are made to compete directly will one another. Comparing a 4700 to a M4 like people are asking for seems like a waste of time to anyone who's not a fanboy looking to feel good listening to his favorite brand getting propped up against a competitors brand. A bigger, longer, heavier tractor like the 4700 series will outshine it on paper. With that said I like the 4700 series a lot, and think that they can be both for a great valve. I'd look at a 4700 series tractor if I was looking for something larger than my 75E.

When you look at MSRP, weight, wheelbase, features, 3PH/FEL capabilities, tires, etc the 2607H is a JD 5075E's competition from MF. It's not Deeres fault that MF refuses to give that machine a Powershuttle, wet clutch, 540E, a flatter/larger deck, cab option, etc, but if they're not going to offer these things then they shouldn't put a 2600H in the same price bracket as a 5E. Deere, Kubota, CIH, etc all offer these options in this price/size range. MF does not. A 4700's weight, wheelbase, wheel/tires put it in a 5M's class. Unfortunately a 4700's FEL/3PH capabilities, transmission or wide tire options put a 5075M well above a 4707 as it should be based on the prices a 5M commands compared to a 4707. MF has built some inbetween tractor so that people like this dude can hype a MF by bashing a smaller Deere. How about do this same type of comparison between a 2607H and a 4707.?.?.? I ran the build and price tool on both tractors just a couple weeks ago. The John Deere 5075E with standard cab, 1 remote, 4x4, power shuttle and 520M non self leveling loader came out to $70,700 To add Premium Cab(closer to Massey’s deluxe cab) and a second remote to the 5075E it’s another $6,000 The Massey 4707 with deluxe cab, FL3522 mid spec loader with soft ride, 2 remotes air ride seat etc is $71,870 And after all that the Massey is still 2500lbs of more tractor. When you get ready to sell that John Deere it’ll bring twice as much as the Massey! When you need parts are service for the John Deere they’ll be 5 or 6 dealers within a 50 mile radius and when you need parts or service for the Massey Ferguson you’ll be lucky to find 1 dealer within a 200 mile radius plus so many Massey Ferguson dealers go out of business and I can’t remember a John Deere dealer going out of business!
I 100% agree dealer support matters and not every Massey dealer is a good one. We’re trying to buck that trend and we’ve been able to offer pretty good value on used Massey’s due to our Aftersales support. In our area no one wants to deal with mother deere or these big corporate stores. They’d rather deal at a place where the owner is there every day and a veteran technician himself. That’s me…I’m that owner and my cell phone number is (903) 851-7573 if any one needs a better level of service than what United AG offers in our area. Thanks for watching!
Standard. When this video was made a couple years ago there was no such thing as a premium cab on an E series. Hope to get my hands on one in the near future to do a video comparison to it as well. I can say while the cab will be more comparable at that point, obviously still won't match drivetrain. Also the price point jumps and we can usually beat a premium cab E on price.
2 different tractors. Need to compare a M john deere to the Massey. One other thing it does have telescope. You turn the center of the steering wheel and pull or push.
Sure seems like the JD folks are so sensitive when their product gets outshined! It’s just funny how they get their little feelers hurt and say things like that can is too big or has too many functions that Deere doesn’t offer etc!
There are definitely some diehard green folks that’ll defend mother Deere to the end. To be fair Deere has built a reputation by producing some good products over the years. The E series is not one of them in my opinion. Im also not a fan of what continues to happen with their dealer base. As these dealers consolidate their service suffers. United AG is my favorite dealer because of all the business they send us via fed up customers. Thanks for watching.
I understand this video is older but that massey is more expensive then the 5e without a loader on the corporate website... also you say it SCREAMS economy with thats what the E stands for..... plus all those things you said are stander are ALL upgraded options on both machines...... the john deere comes standard with a sun visor and can be upgraded... on the corporate website for the 4707 it shows that the dont even have one unless you upgrade to the sun visor. maybe things have changed a lot since this video but doesnt seem like much respect or research was a thought... just a bashing video.....
I have a 10 ft Taylor way disk harrow with 22 inch blades my neighbor has a 5075 deer it can’t pull it lol my 4707 pulled it down to the hub no spin no sweat lol
It's actually a very reliable system and to my knowledge we've never worked on the electronic side of the 4x4. Having automatic 4x4 is pretty sweet but I do get some folks are stuck on mechanical which we've got other models for you.
As a person who owns both John deere and Massey this is kind of a unfair comparison as the deere you have is a low optioned tractor and price for 5075e ranges from mid 40s to 70s. The Massey you have is a 70 thousand plus tractor. This is like comparing a F150 xl to a Chevy high country not really apples to apples.
You will not buy that Deere anywhere near the 40’s and I’ve got a line of those Massey’s I’ll sell ya if your paying 70 anything. To be fair I actually mention that the Massey is a more expensive tractor but well worth it. Good news though now JD offers a premium cab option for the E series which gets you close to the Massey in features but of course the price just took a hike and you still have cheap everything else.
@@thebiblicaldigest I am. But it’s also hard to compare a 2023 tractor in a video that was made in 2022. I do want to compare a 2023. If you have access to one bring it by. I’d love to do a rematch!
Apples and oranges, the right compare would have been with 5075 M.. Totally different tractor. But do whatever makes you feel good, however skewed and bias your comparison is . I guess if it makes you feel like an expert ,even though you are ignorant, go for it
Golly I’ve answered this comment about 100 times. One more time. We wanted to compare the Deere tractor that was closest in price which the E series is. I will smoke the M series in price every day and twice on Sunday! Thanks for watching.
Ok I do like the video however I had to dislike. Cause to me it seem less of a comparison and more of a John Deere bashing video. Yes I do agree you get a lot of standard features on the Massey ferguson that you don't get on the Deere and I do agree that charging extra$$ for some of those features is a bit much. However do bare in mind that while John deere does get a little bit greedy when it comes to those features. This is a company that's been around for over a Century the customer base is huge along the dealerships. Hell you can't toss a rock over here in Idaho without hitting a John Deere dealership 😆😆. Customer support is very good parts availablely is very good plus the resale value on a John Deere is second to none plus they're made in the United States as opposed to the Massey 4707 which is made in Brazil 🇧🇷 and shipped to United States 🇺🇸. So you got that wait time. Plus when it comes to being able to look inside one good luck so far none of the dealerships in Idaho have one meanwhile I've seen plenty of the 5E tractors at one of the dealerships close to where I live. So if I needed a tractor right now I'd have to go with the JD just on availability alone. Sorry Massey ferguson.
Thanks for the feedback however you might want to check your facts on where that 5075E is made. A simple google search will show you Pune, Maharashtra, India. Thanks for watching!
I just test drove a MF4707 In Wenatchee Wa. a couple weeks ago. Very nice tractor. I have one JD and that is all I will ever have. I have 11 MF and they beat JD in ease to work on and durability. They operate cooler and use less fuel to run the same implements. Most of them are orchard tractors except one MF is a field tractor. I bought a new MF 1835M cab tractor last year. The JD was $10,000 more with less features in the same class.
Not in the least. Now hit piece on E series is probably fair. A lot of Deere's equipment is pretty good but the E series is not. I can say while the cab will be more comparable at that point, obviously still won't match drivetrain. Also the price point jumps and we can usually beat a premium cab E on price.
Massey Ferguson hands down. And they are part of AGCO which is the largest AG company in the world.
Amen!
So, what it comes down to is, there is really no reason to go for the Deere.
If people do, they just pay way to much money for a Name. 😅
Thanks for watching!
2 different tractors. Need to compare a M john deere to the Massey. One other thing it does have telescope. You turn the center of the steering wheel and pull or push.
will the 4707 run the 1745 bailer?
Absolutely! One of my favorite matchups!
My condolences, JD lol
Thanks for watching.
I have a 10 ft Taylor way disk harrow with 22 inch blades my neighbor has a 5075 deer it can’t pull it lol my 4707 pulled it down to the hub no spin no sweat lol
I will say I despise the three point lift control on the massy
Love it! You get more with Massey!
I like mechanical front wheel drive hate all electronics to much to go wrong
Not a fair comparison. You need to demo a 2023 5075e for it to be fair.
Would love to! Swing one by.
@PR Equipment When doing comparisons, be mature enough to not be biased and listen to your viewers.
@@thebiblicaldigest I am. But it’s also hard to compare a 2023 tractor in a video that was made in 2022. I do want to compare a 2023. If you have access to one bring it by. I’d love to do a rematch!
Please compare the Kubota M4 to 4707
I want to sooooo bad. Currently working on finding a tractor to use.
Mechanical stuff is good though electronics suck lol
You know I’m a little old school myself being at this awhile but some of these newer features are hard to beat. Thanks for watching!
One other quick note. Massey Ferguson is celebrating 175 years in business this year!
Those John Deere models are not made in the USA, those models are imported.
John Deere is the best
John Deere has built some good tractors over the years but I personally wouldn’t count the E series in that bunch. Thanks for watching!
Hit piece on jd is all this is.
Not in the least. Now hit piece on E series is probably fair. A lot of Deere's equipment is pretty good but the E series is not. The whole point of this video was to hopefully shine a light on the differences between these two models and not just assume since it's a Deere its better. Great news! It's working well. Thanks for watching!!!
Love my ferguson's but wouldn't buy a new one because being manufactured in China
These have been coming out of Brazil for awhile now.
Türkce altyazı verseydin bare
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
The massey is so much better than that crap made jd from india the same with the 5m from Mexico and im a jd fan
Thanks for watching!
It's not the thickness of the metal that counts It's the quality of the metal
