Hello and welcome to personal injury today, where we discuss the hottest topics that attorneys need to know to understand their clients' cases and to come to a fair settlement. Today we're diving into understanding the importance of demand letters and how the demand letters have changed over time. Stay tuned as we dive in with Dr. Brad Poppie, who will bring some clarity to this very confusing topic. So let's dive right in. Dr. Brad Poppie is the founder of Injury Reporting Consultants, helping attorneys resolve personal injury cases through evidence-based medical analysis and research. Welcome, Dr. Poppie. Thank you so much. So as we talk about demand letters, we want to understand the shift and change over the last 20 years. You've been doing this for 20 years. So what have you seen that has changed in demand letters? And what does our audience of attorneys need to know?
Demand letters have vastly changed over the last couple of decades. Years ago, demand letters you know, really needed to portray to the insurance company causation of the accident. You know who? Who caused it? Well, you know, clear liability. Who is at fault? Other topics would include the treatment the patient had diagnostic tests, also statements from the patient on what they can or can't do to pain and suffering things like that. And while those are still valuable today, the insurance companies have gotten keen and really saying, OK, we understand all this. Prove it. And so if the, you know, insurance company excuse me, if the if the attorney can't prove that. What does it do? It just prolongs the process. And the insurance company says, fine, let's go to trial. Well, as we all know, trial is a long. It's a marathon. It takes time and a lot of money to get to the finish line. Ok? It's very, very expensive. So if attorneys can understand the right components today to put into demand letters, it will certainly expedite things, hopefully get the case settled in mediation and move on with life.

I’ll be sending this video to my Lazy lawyer that wants my assigned nurse to handle everything even though the adjuster doesn’t respond to her either. As far as my multiple injuries and hardware in my elbow and L4-5 fusion, fractured ribs, hip, torn rotator cuff.
Thanks again ✊🏼✌🏼
I was arrested, tried and convicted of a crime that didn't happen. Two years after my conviction, a new attorney discovered a photograph that the prosecution hid from me and the jury. The photo shows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I committed no crime. Right now, the State Supreme Court is reviewing my case and the photograph my jury never saw. I'm already thinking about the beautiful demand letters that are going to be sent out.
Go after their public service bonds...you can get them all fired easily
And file a complaint with county supervisors
Still waiting for the Superior Court's ruling.@@clintontaylor8904
Are you from NYC? My P.I.A. is awesome.
I live in Minnesota. @@darnellwilliams3823
1983 civil rights tort claim. Punitive damages, injunction damages and intentional infliction of emotional distress need to be in your claim somewhere somehow. Do your due diligence to make sure they apply to your case (although I’m sure they do). Get acquainted with the verbiage so you sound articulate talking about how this situation caused you harm.
Yup, like a broken ankle / can't run anymore or jump for a long while that sucks
Senior Citizens cannot find an Attorney to handle a Malpractice Claim short of Wrongful Death. The Medicare payment is so low,and cost to hire expert (Doctor) witness too high. Demand letters Irrelevant. Attorneys believe that a strong case will result in Denial 60% + of the cases. I Had physicians who had lost license, in prison for murder, recent wrongful death claim, could not look for RX I needed when their facility had shortage. The Sordid State of Oklahoma famous for their epic prison population and third world medicine. OU Medical could never dream of being in top 100 Medical schools😊 8:54
I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience with your claim.
Would you provide a demand letter writing service for a client without an attorney?
You mentioned loss wages but doc didn’t elaborate on that. Can you make a video about that specifically? What important keys needed for a loss wages demand letter, especially if you are a newly business owner.
That's a great idea! We will look into it.

Do you have a list of providers for this test in CA?
Unfortunately I do not. I am licensed in AZ and CO.
If both sides agree to the demand letter, is mediation necessary?
Probably not, the case should be good to settle.
Do you do FCE in Houston, TX?
No I sure don't unfortunately.
@Injury Reporting Consultants ok it's time to expand doc...🤣👍
How can i hire poppy to write a demand letter for me ?
A demand letter is drafted by your attorney. Do you have legal representation?
@@injuryreportingconsultants No, I do not have an attorney .
