    I use this one (and Jetboil, camp chef stryker 200…) everywhere with my family: camping, picnics, simple hikes, highway Rest-Stops… wife/kids love their instant ramens and heat up fried rice.

      I just used both of these stoves to cook a full meal. I cooked rice and steamed veggies on a full sized pot. I then stir fried the meat on a fry pan.

    Very dangerous for one reason only - pot pushes out gas and gas is just above the connection point. KABOOM! You die. This is a common problem with these stoves. Get an extension cable for the propane to move bottle further away from flame source.

      I got this stove but the one I got came with an extention so that the canister is about 30 cm away from the stove.

      It depends on what you are cooking and how much flame you keep. For small snacks like noodles, etc, it will last for 10-15 meals.

      There's no way that you can refill the can. It needs to be disposed in a similar way that you would dispose a deodorant can.
      You need to buy a new one after it gets over.

    Wait isnt this kind of dangerous on a hot day considering you're supposed to keep those canisters out of direct sunlight, and the heat from the flame is considerably close to the butane canister increasing the heat even more, I feel like this is easy way for the canister to explode.

      Hi Harry, not sure about that scenario. But why would anyone using it in direct sunlight. I've used it a couple of times in warm weather, but always under some shade.

      Yes, as long as you don't keep oversized utensils on the stove, it's safe.
      This is also not for long-duration cooking. Good for snacks that can be made in 10-15 minutes.

    if you are done cooking, can one remove the canister if the gas has not been used up and reuse the same canister by inserting it back into the stove?

      Yes, you can remove it and use it again whenever required. It's not like you connect it once and then it has to stay the way it is. You can remove and reuse it later.

      Yes, absolutely. One should always detach it from the stove once the cooking is done. It has a press release gas mechanism so there will not be any leakage once the cylinder is removed and you can use it the next time.

      Han Bhai, bilkul bana sakte hai. Yeh maggi wagera to maine chote demo ke lie dikhaya hai, ispe aap bahut saare normal cooking items bana sakte ho. Sirf dhyan yeh rakhna ki bartan jyada hi bada na ho. 3-4 litre ka cooker chal jayega.

      Not sure of the exact time. However, you can cook 10-15 small meals in one can. Small meals are like boiling eggs, preparing maggi, preparing pasta, preparing pakodas, etc.

      Yes, that's normal. It's just the sound you get when the gas is getting released. Since it's in a pressurized can, the sound is more.

      No, it lasts much longer.
      Like you can prepare 10-12 snack type meals with this.
      For me, I use this for boiling eggs, making maggi or pasta when on hikes. It lasts for 10-15 such meals.

      Those pocket rockets are too tiny. You cannot cook a proper meal on those.

      Doesn't cause any harm though. The only precaution to take is to not use oversized cookware over this.
      Haven't faced any issue so far cooking Ramen, eggs and other items. This is a perfect backpacking stove.
