The eye patch is on the left. because the sprite was made to be on the right side of the screen facing the player wich is on the left side of the screen. when it mirrors it gets confusing indeed
@@sabishiihito Capcom did a Marvel beat 'em up called _The Punisher._ If you look in that game, Nick Fury actually has his eyepatch un-mirrored, so we know Capcom could do it. They were just too lazy. 😒
