it's most sensitive at the tip and tail with tiny targets, as targets get bigger the most depth is at the center of the coil. So a ring or coin would be best at the center of the coil
For coins I'd go with the Coiltek, It will handle trashy ground well while providing more ground coverage than the 6". It seems like it's also slightly deeper than the 6" on coin size targets.
@@phrunt Really nice test Simon, which explains a lot ... ,,, can you do a similar comparison test on the larger size of lead ..., or on coins? ...Well thank you..
@@SlavoM777 Yes, sure. The results are very different with a coin, the center of the 10x5" coil comes alive and provides depth. This test was all about hunting for tiny gold :)
I'm running the 10x5 Coiltek on the Nox, and also own the 6". Really like the Coiltek 10x5, the size is fantastic, covers as much of the ground as the 11" really, but with more sensitivity being elliptical, not round. It will be staying on my machine unless I'm doing beaches.
@@troutboynz Yup, it's a good coil, if looking for tiny told just overlap the swings more due to the weaker sensitivity towards the center. I like the coil though.
I think the Equnox is better, far more versatile and even for prospecting has more features. Both will detect small gold very similar but larger deeper gold the Equinox has the advantage with the larger coils available.
@@karimrazak3798 Impossible to answer, so many variables, like target size, size composition. It will not reach the depths of a Pulse induction detector but very deep for a VLF
Good to see you again Simon, we miss you man!! Love the vids!!
Thanks Joe! I appreciate it.
Hi there, so the 10x5 is not very sensitive at the middle? how about ring or coin size target? Thank you in advance

@@phrunt roger that, thanks for the reply. I'll order one soon
Which of these coils is best for nuggets
If you had the 11” eqx and had to choose between the 10x5 or 6” ?
I prefer the 6" Minelab, more sensitivity to small gold.
Thank you sir. Ordering it now !
Torn between the ML 6 and CT 10x5 for coin shooting. What do you advise?

What do you think of Equinoxe or monstre gold?
