- I like thrift shopping in Japan because the stores are very picky about the clothing they accept. Everything is always in great condition! The thrift shop we were shopping at is called MODE OFF! It's a chain store that can be found all over Tokyo, but the shop in Kichijoji is one of the best ones I think!

Never bought anything second hand but everything in that store seems in really good condition even saw a couple of things that I would buy myself haha. Maro is too much xD he made me laugh a lot when he got into the bag, he's still as hipper as he was before the surgery?

Oh! The kitsune thing is a french/japanese company that have a like a sponsored label thing with a few bands and artists! they do club nights and a few other things, their clothing and accessories are really expensive, i remember seeing a pretty plain sweater of theirs for around $250!
(i'm a fan of the band years & years and they were under the kitsune label thing!)
Somehow my cat always manages that the plastic bags either will become superhero-capes or he is catched with his legs in tha handlewhole (sry, I don't know how to call it ^^")

I know I'm sooooo late but you guys should check BookOff. A lot of people think they're just second hand book/cd stores but they're great finds for clothes and bags too. Everything is second hand but its my favorite thrift store XD
I wish I could go and experience Christmas shopping in Japan one day (T_T) But that was fun seeing all those interesting shops you stopped by with their exciting Christmas atmosphere only in Japan! Looked like you both had a fine & dandy evening!

When I get home from shopping my cat, Loki, does the exact same thing. Just sleeps/plays in all of my Barnes and Noble bags.

Woahhh that looks like a great store! Thrift stores in America are usually really old clothing that people got rid of and its pretty hard to find trendy things without looking through every single rack for awhile.
So.The St Vincent De Paul thrift shop that I have worked at for just over a year is closing. It seems that the region of Ohio I am in, all the shops have closed and we are the last one. The reason is, that someone in charge didn't pay taxes. Ass Hats! The manager has worked there for 10 years. And last winter during a light couple of days of donations. She brought all these plastic tubs of purses and had me go through and separate the good from mundane ones. She is so pissed, that she told me that I was to be given all the good brands to take and figure out which were real so I could sell them on EBAY. SO. Would you be interested in me sending you a purse of some kind? If so, which designers are you interested in and what kind? Small or large? Leather or cloth? There seem to be a number or Italian names if I remember.
I'm amazed how thrift stores in Japan look nicer and cleaner than most stores in the U.S.

I got a 2ft pink tree from Daiso. So cute! n.n did you end up getting the apple pie? If most Japanese apartments don't have ovens, do most people refrain from baking, or do people use microwaves?

Sharla those shoes you were looking at what were the sizes? I heard that finding shoe sizes that were close to 10 and up are difficult in Japan...

That shop is awesome! i bought vintage tunic dresses for 300 yen each. The things there are as good as new.

So second hand in Japan means low price whereas in the states, it means used.

Random question, but does anyone know if it's difficult to buy certain shoe sizes in Japan? I'm a women's American size 8-8 1/2 sometimes a 9 depending on the type of shoe...do they go that big or is it safer to buy all my shoes from home?
On her Sharla in Japan Vlog she did mention that it's hard to find places that have sizes that go up to size 8.
I would just buy shoes from home to be safe.
