The saddest part is when our own people (Africans ) talk about how unhygienic something is, as if their parents didn’t live long enough in these “ unhygienic” countries to have them. The way these women work so hard to care for their children is unbelievable. I appreciate and give them the up most respect. I always patronize them when in Ghana before shopping in the malls. 🙏🏿🖤
what they need is support not more criticism and I’m happy to do just that
@Everton Simpson love on your mama dear. They try their very best with what they have. The west is functioning the way it is purely because of centuries of FREE LABOR! Ghana will get their, on its own. Proudly Ghanian
I agree we should always be respectful when invited into someone's home not matter what the conditions are it is the right thing to do.
yes, it’s not proper to tell them how to live
The people wo criticise, maybe don't know, this people doing her best to survive. Congratulations fantastic videos. God bless this amazing people in Ghana ❤❤❤ 🇬🇭
Amen!!! That’s so true sir, their priority is totally different am I hope to communicate that in the series
I heard sometime ago that, the Coca-Cola idea came from the African Cola nut. The rural people are very creative. All these ideas of different kinds of drinks and foods is fantastic. I love it.
Yes that’s true, we inspire a lot of things in our world today without recognition
Even in America the 5 star restaurants are filthy, so don’t judge a book by its cover!!!!
very valid point and this people do their best to stay clean
Preach! Some of the southern states here in America still don’t have running water. People really need to watch what the say. Shame on them. I absolutely luv ur vlogs
SKY BELLE keep DOING you and BLOCK out all NEGATIVE energies! You have a VISION, please stay focused. In the WEST sadly most of the food are based on GMO ingredients and are no where near the quality of organic food grown in our beautiful Motherland AFRICA. Instead of complaining all we need to do is to find ways to work closely with our people by creating food and hygiene workshop activities, eco friendly packaging processes and waste disposable facilities for recycling as time progresses.
Well said, very well noted! Thank you for your kind words
Thank you for sharing ♥️ I am honored and humbled to be invited into your home. It is beautiful and inspiring
Can we get these drinks in Accra ? I would really love to try it.
Lovely video and thanks for standing up for the people ❤️
most definitely, it’s so tasty!
Yeah there is you can get some at Madina zango it's called samia or any zango community
My goodness lol, I wish I could try the tamarin drink. You looked so satisfied drinking!
Also, don't pay those who talk down on the way people live any mind. They're ignorant. I feel that the people you show are not only very much connected to the earth but also God. I love your videos and love the culture you share with us. Stay blessed and surrounded by love, friend. 💜 ~Torya
Awww!!! Many thanks ma’am 🤗🤗 I’m touched! Even if one person sees beauty in the video I feel like I’ve done something
Me too!
IKR? I have some tamarind concentrate and a bit of ginger, and I'm likely going to make some not-quite-poha tonight.
You just read my mind 😂 😂
Please keep the ingredients secret and enhance the packaging so that it’s saleable all over the world and it will supersede sugar-filled coke. Kudos and well done fam 👍🏿💰🥤
Well noted!!!🤗🤗
Good day Ms. Belle! After watching and listening to your videos, I believed that you are an authentic African Queen! You don't have to worry about comments from those ignorant and self centered people! The indigenous culture, in Africa and around the globe, has thrived and survived for thousands of year with no known major diseases or plaque in their community outside of western influences. Our ancestors mastered nature hygiene by managing the fungus, bacteria and the viruses in their everyday life, The ignorant writers were comparing the old western understanding of nature to our ancestors understanding of nature. The so called western scientist and researcher are now finding out that the indigenous way of nature is now their new normalcy
Great video... I agree people should keep their rude comments to themselves. Its extremely disrespectful to downgrade or tell someone something bad about their home when they have welcomed you there. Keep up the great work in sharing these awesome videos. I have learned a lot about the African culture from your videos. :)
Thank you for educating us on your different drinks. What a rare treat to see your country and all the different things made there! I might never see Ghana, but I have enjoyed this video. We should all appreciate and respect other cultures different from ours. God bless you!
Our pleasure!🧡🧡 amen!
Nice......... The last one we call tamarind ice-pop here in Antigua 🇦🇬 😊👌🏾
wow! you’re watching all the way from Antigua! warm gregreetings from Ghana 🤗🤗🥰
@@SKYBELLE yes love 😊😊😊 thank you for sharing your videos ✨ Love and continuous Light!
Your content is absolutely amazing!
This kind of village life, and the preparation and cooking techniques therein, has existed for millennia, with advancements taking place as possible. Anyone who complains doesn't understand other cultures, other economies, or other people. They certainly don't understand that people have worked towards food and drink safety since prehistory.
Honestly, I'd feel safer eating and drinking in this village than I would in a good number of American homes I've seen. So what if things are done differently? Lots of people and cultures cook outside, or on shared equipment. My own American apartment complex has communal grills, which the residents are expected to keep clean. How is that any difference from this village's kenkey grinders?
Amen sister these folks are living and have done so for generations--look at the capacity to make life with what's available. I notice that the goats are eating the leaves so its not wasted-- all manner of recycling going on.. The grinding stone is an ancient technology much respect. We fixate on 'hygiene' while in the west we despoil and dirty the planet so that it will be eventually inhabitable. I appreciate your insightful videos.
Thanks for showing us. This is what I wanna see, real Ghanaian lifestyle.
This is very hygienic and healthy..and above all sweet
You are so real and human go girl do your job like always
awww☺️🤗 thank you sis🥰
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving everything 🙏 thank you for sharing
Thank you for the videos I can't wait for one day to return back to Africa thank you so much
wow! you’re most welcome🙏 I hope you’re able to make your way back home
In Trinidad we have tamarind balls as a snack. I sometimes put one in a teacup add hot water. A cup of healthy tea.
Not to mention tasty also.
They way I love this thing especially when they grind the spices on stone
TAMARIND is also good for stewing and eating like a dessert
yes it’s very healthy for many uses
Loved the video!! reminded me of my time in Ghana, when i was in school that's all i drank for food Light and poha with groundnuts!! An aunt of mine makes the kenkey used to make light and my grandparents neighbor sells both light and poha, they always saved some for me because i was obsessed!!
aww Sounds like you had a colorful childhood in Ghana !
You can get groundnut kenkey? That sounds like the perfect food.
I used to drink that Tamarind drink all the time in Guyana. Now in America I make it still by blending the frozen tamarind pulp with water and sugar. If you do half tamarind drink and half seltzer you get a legit soda vibe that's sooooo good.
wow, you guys also drink tamarind in Guyana? who knew
@@SKYBELLE yeah! We have a lot of the same fruits in South America and the Caribbean.
Yes, I grew up making Tamarind drink in Barbados, it is popular in some Caribbean Islands
👏👏👏thank you for telling those that don't understand the first rule of respect especially when a guest sad they need to be told but I'm not surprised because some really dont know what it is to survive and not waste
Yes I find it soo fascinating that people are soo quick to jugdge
Wow! I have never seen Fante kenkey this size before!!!
Me too, it was soo huge
Skybelle, so happy you addressed your rude and ignorant viewers.
These people eat farm to mouth. If lack of sanitation was to kill! These people would have died long ago.
I have been scratching my head on scale of economies in Africa, Asia and South America, how come millions of people work so hard and earn so little. Is it because we have not transitioned into systems and processes for our communities. How come Europe and North America was able to make these transition for these systems to get their people from hard labor. I know it's the political will for human dignity at all cost, that did it for them. But how come it's taken the rest of us over a century? Sometimes I think African Governments get away with murder. Most remote areas of African countries do not have anything! of the common wealth of their country. It's really sad. Very little things will make major transformational difference. What pisses me off is, most Governments just pushed for NGO programs and narrative and nothing has yielded from them in our communities.
thank you for your comment, I always love it will you unpack. it runs way deeper than we see on the surface because believe me, with the wealth that Africa has, her citizens should be paid to sit at home and do nothing. but what we see is the benefactors who use African leaders as puns to milk the continent dry, throw peanuts at its “leaders” and leave the people desolate. Not that we can’t transition, they can’t afford to let us.
@@SKYBELLE Always a pleasure. We shall overcome ✊🏿🌍
My sister I'm so proud of you keep doing what you are doing don't let nobody bring you down just do your thing
Very impressive introduction...😀👌❤️
You right with hygiene don't mind people..its can only be enforced by the government through education and support . I live in England 🇬🇧 you will be surprised what you find out in take away shops . So keep it real 💯 👌 😌
Sister, are you trying to give me diabetes? LOL!🤣
No not at all 🤗🤣
Hello sis how are you doing? I love what you are doing for Ghana and Africa as whole my dear keep up the good job.
sir, you’re back! thank you soo much
Cleanliness is important! It can't be overstated. It doesn't matter if u live in a village or city
🔥🔥♥️🙏🏾🇬🇭🇳🇬l one love.
✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿❤️
People say some ignorant things. I would rather eat village food than restaurant food.
It mashed me sad most times when I see it
The hard work of the women is great to watch young ladies in the states need to take notes because they have nothing to complain about and need to see hard diligent work and natural beauty I love all the videos and learning more than what I thought I knew really keep them coming
Many thanks 🙏 I’m very delighting knowing that you get to see an insight of what Africa is like through the Rooted experience
We call the corn drink "sha" in Cameroon. Tnx for the video!
The seeds is called musooro
Abeg allow them! some of them will be sitting on their high horses saying that they are dirty or unhygienic... only God knows how those people commenting live smh
I sometimes wonder how easy it is to just judge and condemn when this people are doing their best
My dear they are doing so well considering how little they have! They are so resourceful and contented and that is the ingredients to a happy life, people who are usually so quick in pointing out faults are doing so to mask how unhappy they are in their lives.
Sky. My question to those with the criticism is wouldn't it better for those who are offended or criticize the surroundings to get out of their comfort zone and help the people. I'm sure they are doing the best that they are blessed with to survive. Be a better person do something to help instead of criticizing.
true!!! very true, why do do something instead of criticize them
@@SKYBELLE I love your rooted experience videos. I love the village life and its simplicity. I try to write down the ingredients of many of the foods you showcase then I try to obtain the ingredients in order to make the dish. Sometimes I'm successful sometimes not. Please continue educating those who wish to learn from your videos. May God continue to bless you and your success grows.
Eiii dokonu na akakraka saa no 😆😆
Love my motherland 😘😘
😀😀🤣🤣 pls translate
@@SKYBELLE I mean the kenkey is too big 😂😂
@@efyaarthur7870 yes I’ve never seen this size before 😄
@@SKYBELLE 😂😂😂
That was my reaction too🤣🤣 so big!
Oh wow! And it's not fizzy too,I like the natural drinks.
Yes, 100% natural expect for the sugar
SKY BELLE Oh,sugar is added to the drinks? I know the grow sugar cane too,if the can mix with natural sugar cane ,that would be a bomb! Those grinders can do the job too,(I mean extracting sugar cane juice from the sugarcane) I am so sorry sweetie,my over thinking mind brought out these thoughts.(That's not your business oh,we tend to include you in every thing as though you are the owner of the business chai!
@@chugilaimuchakalaku2067 oh it’s an excellent suggestion actually
That is why u will love Ghana, kenkey is always there to quench ur hunger
right😀😀
Samiya it’s my fav 😁❤️
🤗🤗
God Bless them
Thank you for this lovely informative video
Rooted experience
But why do they use plastic to cover the fante kenkey already covered in leaves?
As for the hygiene, western standards also has its downsides due to all the chemicals. Glad youre standing your ground! People typically are strong consuming this food. Much stronger than people in the west!
I would like to have the opportunity to invest in a great product like this 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👌👌👌
Good work women God bless you all.
Notified about all new videos
Hygienic!!??? WTF do people mean - these people immune system is 110% better than westerners - look how fit, strong and sexy their bodies are... we over here are so sick, fat and out of shape. I would bet $1 for every nay sayers that they could not keep up with these guys... I was in Tabmale in 2019 I know what I'm talking about. Be honest folks - it just takes a while to get use to.
They are soo fit without any gym subscription whatsapp ever
People need to be respectful; not to worry. Life will teach them oooo.
I hope people become kinder to one and other
I love the rooted experience and will probably spend a lot of time in the north when I come to Ghana. I will have to adjust myself though because flies sitting on meat bothers my nerves, but if my people are living then so will I.
I’m sure it will be a learning curve, adjusting to a new culture is Shays a challenge but with an open mind it’s very doable
@@SKYBELLE Yes my little sister. I pray I can meet you and Jasmine Ana. I want to go the market. Working on my Twi, but my hubby, who is Ghanaian is a poor teacher 😁. Thanks for replying to me. Live Ruby.
hi what the names of the villages?planning to be in ghana and love to see espicially the sea process thanks
Whatching from Brazil! continue this video
Warm greetings from Ghana 🤗🤗
Tamarind i believe
new subbie
All these hygiene police complaining about this and that, why don't you take what you want from the video and leave the rest?Mtcheww,no wonder people die from tiny exposure to germs🙄🙄🙄.Ps dagomba woman is funny in the background 😂.
Do you get drunk or its just a refreshment
Amen!!
Pls what is the twi name for tamarind?
This caking is big waoo
yes it’s kenkey
nice video. thanks.
You’re most welcome 🙏
Pls where can I get some of the belleskin soap thanks am in Accra
Hi, where can I locate them.
Belle I want some please 🥺🥺🥺😫😫😫
To those bothered about cleanliness, how about you invest in this people and help create better facilities.
that’s also a great suggestion you know
Coca Cola stomach lining I am sure that drink is much more healthier. And less chemicals.👐👐👐
only three ingredients in this one but is soo refreshing
Hi!
How long have you been in the north of Ghana? Or are you still there?
I’ve been in the north for about a month plus
I’m not drinking this particular iced kenkey sorry!
I totally understand, although you’re missing out big time 😀
No public comment
Pls what's the name of the drink?
It’s called Poha
To retry
What is péselas?
She meant to say pesewas that's the smaller denomination or coins of cedi
It’s the currency here
Oh that is not clean
hmm, I feel that the uncleanliness of the place makes the food taste better! so.. 🤷🏽♀️
Its the same as any Caribbean country. they dont care about that as long as the food is fresh
No! At the very least the local assemblies in these parts should educate them about basic hygiene. Some of them don't genuinely know
The kenkey is too big
it’s very huge😀
SKYBELLE. you are totally wrong about the cleanliness, its all a matter of how you tell them when you are about to put them in public and they would have appreciated it. Remember, they have been doing their business in private until you showed up to put them in public, and that is where you could have had a nice conversation with them, telling them you want to put their best image out to the world and started cleaning spots you would be videotaping from, and they would have easily joined you in cleaning. Your silence and not being brave enough to tell them before putting them on video is where you went wrong, portraying them actually in not so pleasant light. I bet you they are so respectful but some would have appreciated you putting their best image out to the world. By the way, I grew up on that kenkey with fried fish, stew, and soups, I am a born Fante man from Cape Coast and that is our food.
But wouldn't their best image be their most authentic image?!
@@KoKoTheSagittarius Maybe so, but I bet no one will want them being shown as dirty.
This is another angle to consider but sometimes in the instance of the grinding mill, imagine how ridiculous it will be to come into a very busy shop and say to the owner oh by the way stop what you’re doing and Mop your floors becos I want to film you, would you have done the same? It’s not boldness it’s foolishness
@@SKYBELLE I really do agree with you totally on the grinding mill. It's just a public place, the owner has to be the one to do that but it wouldn't hurt to hint him/her about it. This our habit needs to change, it is prevalent all over, why? It's not even that difficult to do.
For those of us who are not Ghanaians, what is the name of the raw materials. Kankay is made from what?
Listen young lady. They are living in these unhygienic conditions because they don't know any better.
We have to find a way to educate them . You can teach them hygiene at another time.
The hygiene is questionable.
Pls what is the twi name for tamarind?
