I love both Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I'm anxious and excited to visit Disneyland again. Happy to see the new additions - Hattie the Hatbox Ghost and Oogie Boogie plus Lock, Shock, and Barrel at the mirrors; the reflections are funny 😂.

Disney is missing an amazing opportunity with the Haunted Mansion for Halloween. Seriously, it doesn't need a holiday overlay throughout September and October because it's perfect as is for the holiday season. If anything, this should be set up in November around the same time as Its a Small World.

IcebearTV They don't do it in one night. The haunted mansion is closed for about 2 weeks. But they do decorate the entire park in one night. But they have so many people that help that one night of hard work is plenty of time!
The original Haunted Mansion would've been perfectly fine for this time of year. The Nightmare Before Christmas took place after Halloween was completed. These decorations would've worked more for November/December.
I LOVE the nightmares before Christmas overlay! I only went to Disney during my birthday in October, so I never knew this wasn’t the only version of the ride. I was disappointed when I went this May 😅

@@stn1812 They made room for star wars because it would be unusual to save that space for one roller coaster. They already had star wars in planning for a while now and would never replace it for something like that. Now there isnt any room over there at Disneyland

I don't get why they would waste the land, when they could've build something better. I got to go on this ride with my parents and many other theme park guests in November 2019 for my birthday weekend. I have a brilliant idea for this ride. At the start they should play a parody of This is Halloween but change Halloween to Christmas. It would still include one of my favorite Disney Songs and not ruin the theming.
They almost did at one point but Florida residents did not want the overlay, according to a survey done a few years ago. Tokyo Disneyland does a NBC version and they have virtually the same house design as WDW so the decorations went there.

Here is what I think should’ve been the stretching portraits for the nightmare before Christmas ride The three quicksand men are lock shock and barrel The tightrope walker should be sally and in the bottom of her is the worm jack puts under the Christmas tree And for the old woman with a tombstone she is sitting on should be jack sitting on zero’s tombstone And the last one for the man on dynamite should be oogie boogie sitting on sandy instead of a barrel and on sandy claws’ beard there should be a timer to explode

The MJ Channel I went yesterday and had been eyeing wait times on the app. It was super not busy days before then yesterday: busy!! Waits on app not accurate? How was it when you went? At one point it said space Mtn 10 minutes. So I went over to Space and the sign out front said 50 mins! I looked at the app which then before my eyes jumped to 50 mins.
I went to Adventure and Disneyland in a 2-day span and this was the last ride I got on at the end of it all. Man did I go out with a bang. Legit one of the best rides I've ever been on, the detail, everything was beautiful. 10/10
I think they don't do the same thing in Disney World because it is more a World travel destination. But also Disneyland gets many to miss the opportunity to experience the original ride. For example, when my parents visit me and I bring them to Disneyland, they never get to ride the Original Haunted Mansion because the only times they can visit me is during Hollyday vacations, so they always refer to the Haunted Mansion as the "Jack Skellington ride".

These "takeovers" of the Mansion seems to turn less "Halloweeny" and more "Christmassy" for every year - and September is way too early for Xmas. Needs to dial down the snow just a notch and bring back more of the ghosts :)
