I'd just love to see this Jay's team have a winning season. Not what they may have wanted coming into it, but something positive heading into next year. They have the talent to do so.

Too bad the Jays had a really bad stretch in the first half, if they weren’t in that slump they would’ve probably made the playoffs.

The gap between 3rd, 4th and 5th place in ALE is closing. I didn't think the Jays had a hope of a Wildcard spot, but if they keep this up, they may yet get a shot.

If the Jays didn’t slump in the first half, they would’ve had a shot at making the playoffs.
Still leaving too many runners on base, and their bullpen crumbled this season so there was no one to bail out their offense. Now they're hitting for contact instead of trying to smack the ball out of the park, and it's yielding late results. If they can get pitchers back healthy for the start of next season and trade Bo Bichette for a decent DH, they should be able to get off the blocks a lot faster to start in April.
I mean, yes. But you could say that of any team that's not in the playoff chase. Except the White Sox, of course.

Last time Canada Won the Stanley Cup was in 1993 which was also the same year Canada last won the World Series as well, but the focus is always on Canada winning and ending the Stanley Cup drought in the NHL rather than on the Blue Jays ending Canada's World Series drought in baseball.
There used to be an American team in the CFL that won more recently than the Canadiens championship.

I wonder what's going to happen first: Blue Jays win World Series ending Canada's World Series drought or a Canadian NHL team winning the Stanley Cup? Also given how hockey is Canada's national sport it can be said that only a minority of Canadians are baseball fans as the majority of Canadians would rather have their Canadian NHL team hoist Lord Stanley than to have the Blue Jays win the Fall Classic.
