Race 6 - Skibbereen Derby
(Also Young Bird Update and how things are going)
Not the best race for us but 30 sent and 29 home,
week by week we will keep trying.

Congratulations, the birds are coming good, like my uncle always tells me the win will come on its own, but you doing a great job, really great sport, from egg to super athletes 365 days a year, racing just shows the effort put in and they deliver, keep up the hard work it will all show soon enough🎉🎉🎉

Yeah I personally believe an aviary is one off if not the most important part of the loft, especially when the sun out and nothing like fresh oxygen 🙌

As for your question…. We were feeding all they could eat for awhile there when the feed was heavy (feeding breeding/bred and wean)….
But now we have lighten the feed I have a rough idea on how many tubs of feed they eat. So nothing is actually measured pal.
One of the reason we add barley, not only for the nutrients aspect of barley, but once they leave it or pick at it (as In not that interested) then we feel they’ve had enough.

What was your velocity and speed pls , I couldn`t read the forms!.
Club winner was doing velocity off 1612.449
Our first pigeon was doing a velocity of 1606.710
Pigeons flying time was 4 hours, 37mins
