Old Rusty Bushcraft Axe Restoration

- Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. That axe I was found at flea market (few week ago).
Restoration process: I used electrolysis to removed main layers of rust, then washing it. I don't used a polishing stuff, because I like this dark color on axe. I used iron brush and files to removed patina and corrected the shape of axe. Sharpened the axe on a beltgrinder machine. For final step I used stones and leather to finish sharpening the axe. The axe handle I made from ash tree. I painted it via two components paint and for impregnation I used linseed oil. As usual made test for you. I hope you Will enjoy this restoration video.

Топор сварной относительно новый, просто был в руках у рукожопа.

Awesome job sir! Only thing im worried about is the paint on the handle, in my personal experience i have found that paint Often lead to blemishes and sore hands after some hard use. Keep the good work up👍🏻

I would’ve like to see a little more repair on that one side of the axe head. It look like it was cracked or partially repaired with some welding but adding some material and then cleaning it up would have been nicer looking. Good job anyway.
