How did Sudan reach the brink of civil war?

According to 2020 data, Sudan has one and a half billion barrels of crude oil reserves. This makes the country the fifth richest country in Africa in terms of oil reserves. Despite this, when we look at the news about Sudanese people these days, we witness endless gasoline queues. In fact, according to the 2023 data of the American research company Fund for Peace, Sudan ranks 7th on the list of failed states. As it is known, the country is moving step by step towards civil war these days. Since the past, conflicts in the country have generally resulted from disagreements between ethnic groups. This time, the power struggle between the two armies of the state lies behind the unrest in the country. As a result of the turmoil that started last April and continues to this day, we came to the brink of civil war. At first, it may seem a bit complicated to understand what is happening in the country. However, when we examine the events, you can realize that the cause of these turmoil in the country is more than these two men.
