My cousins husband is American and he doesn't like the gamey flavour of lamb; he won't touch it! Unfortunately for him he lives in Australia where everyone loves lamb ( unless you're a vego of course). Hopefully we'll make him come to like it. I'll just show him this vid of some Americans getting down on some great lamb shanks ;0)
for us here in the States we love our beef.To lose the gamey taste of lamb all you have to do is cut the fat off,and blanch the meat with water and some vinegar in it.

I wish U.S. would import more breeds of Fat-Tailed sheep common to Middle East and Central Asia. There is no better tasting lamb than fat-tailed sheep. Our lamb meats are dry and not as flavorful in comparison.
