Never understood people calling lamb "gamey." Tastes lamby to me, it's just how lamb tastes
It's not even some really old mutton or actual game animals. It's not like the "wonderbread" meat i.e. chicken breast, which has practically no taste on its own.
I just got a whole lamb and wanted a good BBQ recipe, so this hits the spot!
Most people don't like things they just haven't tried or haven't cooked properly. This literally grinds my gears with lamb being gamey as an excuse lol. I ask people what gamey means and they don't know. They just know it's what people say when they don't like lamb. Just say it's gamey. Fools I tell you!!! FOOLS!!
FINALLY!!!!!! Someone who understands the beauty of lamb!!
Lamb burgers are the best to me
It can be gamey at times, depends how you cook it and what part you are cooking
lamb fans unite! a smoked leg next plz Brad :D
Love all type of Lamb dishes. Glade I found this video.
More lamb please. Just picked up lamb ribs for first time.
Good grief, Where have I been? What a fantastic, funny, well edited, and information filled channel. That's like the trifecta (because "trifecta" means 4 things when I need it too...sometimes) I love it. Great job, Bradley. You've got a new sub.
(fyi...Ricer threatened me w/ physical harm if I didn't watch your video. Now I'm going to threaten him with physical harm for not telling me about your channel sooner.)
I absolutely adore lamb. I love taking a lamb shoulder and smoking it, then pulling it with a rosemary & garlic aioli to make some sliders. We need more lamb videos!
Lamb is underrated I am glad you did this video!
Amazing. In I’m the UK and didn’t know lamb ribs was a thing! Looking forward to cooking some.
Im from South Africa and we eat A LOT of lamb. The gamey flavor is the best part of lamb. Cook it right and its always a winner!
Beautiful!! We appreciate lamb in South Africa and I you now you "killed" this one, well done bro!!! CHUDS BBQ 4 life!
I don't often do lamb, but my family has always traditionally enjoyed it around Easter time. Wanting to try it these ribs time around! :)
Yes lamb vid! I'm from NZ and always looking for new ways to do lamb. Keep up the amazing work.
American here! I love lamb. Racks, chops, roasts, you name it. Wish it was more available here in the Midwest. Great recipe, Bradley! 👍👏😋
I am sad (but not surprised) that so few Americans are present in the comments so I figured I would chime in. Lamb is wonderful. So flavorful and lean. Go find some recipes and give ground lamb, lamb shoulder, leg of lamb or lamb ribs a whirl. If your mind is open and your palette hungry it is delicious. I am a Texan and when I have the opportunity to choose between lamb, beef, pork or chicken it is almost always lamb and my fellow Texans think I'm crazy, but I assure you I am not.
I’d love to see you do a lamb shoulder, it’s like pulled pork but lamb, soooo popular here in Australia, thanks for this vid mate love your work and recipes
Yer I’ve done it couple of times here in the uk. It’s amazing
Yeah except lambs are selling for $300 each still kicking, price of lamb is astronomical.
Ooo that sounds really good! How do you session them?
I’m a New Zealander. I agree with you. Lamb shoulder is my number one BBQ cut. It’s so fatty and delicious!
I never realised our lamb is “gamey” down here. I just thought it was what lamb tasted like and it’s a nice contrast to other types of red meat taste like. We can’t do Christmas without a roast lamb.
Never thought of doing a lamb shoulder. I've done a couple of legs on the smoker and they were amazing. I've also done a 3/2/1 smoking of the lamb ribs and they were amazing as well. Going to be butchering a couple lambs in November will definitely be saving one of the shoulders to give it a try.
Lamb ribs are sooo underrated. I’m from Australia so lamb ribs are a lot cheaper than pork and beef ribs (50% cheaper). Flavour of lamb ribs are awesome too! Love your channel mate keep up the good work!
Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing. Lamb deserves more attention.
I'm from Australia this channel is one off the best BBQ channels I've came across.
Lamb is really good ppl just need to know how to cook it.
Keep up the great work Brad👌🤘🤘🍻🍻
People need to grow up a bit if they don't like lamb or haven't tried it in a while. I get it. Some of us have been damaged from crummy cooking techniques from yester year. Back in the day they would cook the crap out of lamb and only concentrate that gamyness (SP). Then they would use Mint Jelly to try and mask it. So not needed if you cook it right. This is a great video because you can go bold with aromatics and spices because it can take it. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't tried lamb in a while. Don't confuse Lamb with Mutton. Big difference. Be open and try it for goodness sake.
We australians do lamb a lot. You guys are mad if you are doing it grey. beautifully cooked lamb is just delicious. edit though from Bradley's vid that apparently american lamb is different... thats sad :(
I am so doing this on Australia Day!!! We love lamb in Australia, so the more videos, the better 👍
Don’t wait, I do em every coupla weekends
Lamb is totally underrated! We absolutely love grilling up some lamb around here!!
I’ve never had lamb ribs but I love lamb chops and ground lamb in stuff like Koobideh kebabs. Those look great.
Lamb is the superior meat. Its so amazing. Please do more lamb videos.
Yessss!!! Been waiting for some more lamb on this channel!
Goat and lamb are the best. I did lamb ribs in souvide and they came out great great! I'll have to try this next time.
We love lamb here in the uk , it smokes really good , tastes awsome especially if done low and slow !!
Love your work keep it up !!
My wife LOVES lamb ribs - thanks for helping me score some points ;-)
Thank you for the tip on removing the thin meat on top...removed and comes out perfect. Thanks again
Love from South Africa! Busy braaing lamb ribs right now
One of my favorite smokes has been leg of lamb! Lamb ribs are delicious too, so many options. Keep 'em coming.
Love lamb so much. wish it was more popular here in TX, thanks for this video
Thank you very much for showing us another tutorial on lamb. Can't wait to try it
LOVE lamb! Can't wait to make this!
LAMBRIBS!!! Very popular in Namibia Africa over a fire! Love whatching your video's! ;)
Love that lamb bud, looks fan-taste-ic!
MOAR lamb content please! Shank, leg, shoulder, whole lamb on the big chudbox, etc.!
Be the change you wish to see in the world and inspire our American brethren to eat more lamb!
Did the same thing first time I cooked lamb ribs, left top layer on never again haha. Do a lamb shoulder or lamb neck on offset for tacos, life changing. Much love from Australia
Aussie lamb lover here, keen to give some ribs a go!
The UA-cam algorithm needs to fight me IRL. More freaking lamb videos. This looks spectacular!
Pump lamb with water (optional), black vinegar, sugar and finely diced mint. Leave for up to an hour and throw it on your fire. Mint & lamb are made for each other.
👏👏👏 👋👋👋 🇦🇺
Wow that looks good. I’m drooling 🤤 over here!
Love lamb. Definitely underrated here in the states.
Love lamb in NZ, probably cook it a bit less, go for a pink blush, will have a crack at that vinegar mop sauce it looked fantastic.Thumbs up for lamb 👍
I love lamb! Thanks for doing this!
Hey mate! That outer layer of meat on those ribs is best left on for direct heat cooks! I do remove it if I’m going into the offset though as it tends to not break down as well.
Great vidja by the way!
More lamb please!!!! Looks great
Lamb is one of my favourite meats 🍖 great video 👍
Bradley im a big fan of lamb, nice name btw. My family is from England and we actually raise our own lamb, smoking a leg with SPG and herbs for about 4 hours at 275, or 135IT is the best. May loose some smoker flavor but cook it in a foil pan to catch all those juices. Then slice the leg and turn it into a French dip sandwich but with lamb. It won't disappoint!
Looks great. Always fun to try something new.
I love lamb. Great to see more lamb on the grill! Keep up the great videos! Peace!!!!!
I’m a huge fan of smoked lamb neck. Great video as always
Love me some good lamb ribby's!!! Was waitin for ya to put rosemary and tyme on..always completes mine! YUM!.
Definitely keep the random meats coming. It’s nice to get ideas on other things. Also if you want a moose roast to do whatever you want with hit me up. I’d love to see some venison on the pit.
Omg. Lamb. Mary would be proud!
Aussie here. Don't understand the hate around lamb over in the states! I grew up eating lamb and still love it. Great video mate. Love your work
Unfortunately most of the US doesn't grow up eating lamb. Most places it's tough to find if it's not close to Easter. With getting it at most once or twice a year, we don't learn to like the taste, especially when it's more gamey flavored
Keep doin fun videos with different meats! I love seeing how to cook things that you dont see every day
More Lamb! It’s about damm time!
Well done dude, Im from Lamb nation Iceland, there is more sheep/lamb here than folks, I thought I knew it all how to cook lamb, your video is aye opener
population here In iceland 350.000, sheep's 500.000
Im definitely copy/paste your recipe but with a twist :)
thanks, and greeting from Iceland
like your video
Oh that’s pretty! Looks as good as pork ribs! Lamb is in some of my stores here in Louisiana. Please do more!
Delish. I love lamb but I'm the only one in my house that will eat it. I'm told that good butchering practice helps to reduce that gaminess. Never seen anyone do lamb ribs, nice.
Best bbq video I have ever watched. You are the best
Looks like my missus is going to have to learn to like lamb! This looks beautiful!
Outstanding!! Can’t wait to try this.
DogFish Punkin Ale with some lamb ribs! That sounds like an amazing dinner! Love DogFish and they are from my home state so that makes it even better!
Love lamb, and those look delicious!
Big difference between lamb and mutton. The older, the gamier. It’s all still delicious, though. Great content!! Keep the hits coming!! 🔥🔥
Loving the Dogfish Head in the background. My favorite brewery. I have been thinking of smoking a lamb shoulder, just like pulled pork.
Don't be scared, lamb is yummy! I do buy New Zealand and Australian Lamb here in San Diego because usually that is all that is available in my local stores. I just buy the legs and poke them all over with a pairing knife and fill the holes with sliced garlic then rub the whole thing over with olive oil and salt and pepper and French thyme. I set it on a small rack inside of a roasting pan and cook to about 145 degrees internal temp at 325 cooking temp with a little water in the pan to keep it from smoking. It takes 15 to 20 min per pound should be fine. My cat gets the leg bone when we are done and he will pull every nibble off of that bone over the next few days, I can always tell when he is chewing on it because I hear the bone bouncing around on the concrete.
Welp, another thing to throw on the to do list, looks wicked good bud.
I love lamb ribs. Started making them when I was 12, in the boy scouts. I always left the cap on. It has a lot of flavor.
Lamb is one of my family’s favorite meats!! Love the video!
YUM! Thank you for that! Another great video. Keep them coming!
Being from New Zealand we eat a lot of lamb and venison, yeah seperate top cap from the ribs is best, I use a Big Smoke BBQ Co Lamb rub from NZ, it has a rosemary,, herbs with coffee with a little sweetnes profile, goes so well with lamb or venison Lamb Shoulder is one of the best low and slow, pulled lamb tacos are so good. Love your channel, one of the best x
awesome recipe. love lamb meat but so expensive up here in Canada, keep up the great videos
Oh wow - it is so darn hard to get good lamb here in the US and it is so expensive - yet so delicious! Thank you for educating folks! And I agree with the previous commenter - I'd love to see you don something with lamb shoulder or leg of lamb, too!
Looks delicious!! I Love Lamb!
Lamb is definitely one of those things that intimidates most cooks. We enjoy lamb but i have yet to try it... and now i must follow the chud!
a leg of lamb video would be much appreciate, the gaming taste is what makes it so good. South African Karoo lamb have a unique taste, Karoo lamb is tastier and more flavoursome than lamb from other regions, the reason being the different types of shrubbery which the sheep in this region feed on. The fragrant bushes in the Karoo impart an unmistakable 'herbiness' to the lamb. Since living in Germany for some years we get mainly New Zealand lamb and have to say it is also good.
As an Australian I love this video we generally don’t smoke our meat I should say traditionally anyway , these days it’s more popular and I’m keen to see more lamb videos , just google Australian lamb commercials and you will begin to understand how much we love it seriously it’s almost a religious thing great work mate keep the lamb coming
Lamb is the best from NZ . Cook more please
I love the vid, and lamb! And I agree with Blue English below, shoulder would be a great vid as well. We live in Thailand, and it is plentiful here, so we would enjoy trying your recipe for same. Keep up the good work mate, peace!
Love the fun and crazy way you present your cooking. Yours is one of my favorite cooking channels.
I was just watching a Chuds bbq video when another Chuds video came out! :D
We do these a lot in Australia… good job mate 👍🏼
Love barbecue lamb, spent a lot of time the last couple years barbecuing down in South Africa and this year Lamb became one of my favourites to cook! Another fantastetic vid!
Dude lamb is close to all we do in Namibia. Love the simple recipe and video. I watch your videos almost every time I light a fire at home. Would love to cook some lamb with you sometime 👊🏻
Thanks for sharing Brand. We in South Africa see lamb as quite a treat. Will definitely try your recipe with lamb. Keep it up!
Yes! Do more lamb videos! I cook a lot of lamb and would love new ideas!
As an Aussie lamb is amazing. If you have never done it smoke up a lamb shoulder. I do a wet rub mix of garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper and olive oil until its a thick paste. Smear it all over and smoke it like a pork butt, Wrap with some beef stock (3 parts) and apple cider vinegar (1 part) and pull apart, I prefer it over pulled pork.
Love to see some different stuff and would def like to see more lamb! Maybe a smoked lamb shank or something??!!
Those look fantastic!
WE, THE PEOPLE, DEMAND MORE LAMB
Looks amazing as always
Thanks for the lamb inspiration!
I had lamb ribs, for the first time in my 56 yr old life, a month ago. I. AM. SOLD!! Never have I ever tasted any meat as luxurious. And I live in the midwest! Thank you for your offerings. I'm about to spend this pre-Halloween weekend making some! ❤
Did you know, BBQ Mutton is a regional specialty in Western Kentucky?
If you are ever in the area, Old Hickory BBQ and Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro, KY - As a food tourist, you can thank me later!
Lamb is top 3 for me, well done brad keep up the awesome vids
Lamb is beautiful and more people should give it a try if they have or didn't enjoy it previously. It is perfect low and slow!
Love your work! I’m a Kiwi (New Zealander) so we BBQ a lot of lamb down here. Those ribs look awesome. Cooking pulled lamb shoulder like a pulled pork on the smoker is a hit with guests down here. We love the gameyness 😂 In saying that, I’m about to put some shorties on the smoker now. Keep up the good work!
Never understood why American's aren't keen on lamb, one of the most classic dishes we have in Aus is leg of lamb, roasted for a Sunday dinner.
Would love to see you cook beef rib fingers (those long strips of beef cut away from the ribs). Not sure of the best approach for them, maybe burnt ends or kebabs?
The availability of Beef, Pork and Chicken makes it harder for lamb to compete. Beef in the US is a staple and produced in Unbelievable amounts, Lamb, not so much. Here in Central Texas we can get Goat (Cabrito) way easier than Lamb.
I love lamb and I am American I love leg of lamb and chops I am going to do some ribs next
@@clanceywyman4951 That's great! Just be careful with the temps because the fat can be hard to render sometimes which just makes the whole thing unpleasant. Personally I prefer to do riblets to get around that problem.
