Although a bit clunky, there are an innumerable amount of playstyles, from syringe-fueled Greyhound swordsmen, ambushing Snake eyes, and the run-of-the-mill miner, the game is very unique! Also, please make sure to cover the new update. It added new weapons to review!

It's funny as shit cause it doesn't even matter if you broke your legs from a height or got shot by a martini henry, you'll still magically pull out a .45 from you or another person.
Honestly one of my favorite shooters on the site rn, the base gameplay is solid and due to the players shaping the map every match turns out differently.
Assuming no-life chads don't turn the entire map into an endless expanse of horizontal cavern. It's still fun though! Gotta be careful to not get spotted.

About the gun balancing, I’d argue it’s what ties the combat and perks together. Primaries tend to be less effective when moving and more effective while stationary or stop and go shooting but are made up for by secondaries which are much better while moving and pack a decent punch while up close. Honestly I haven’t had any issues with damage as if you can hit your shots even the Mauser can kill decently well, though I have a suspicion that limb shots might take reduced damage but that might just be me coping. And the perks can all be pretty powerful they just depend on your loadout, since I rock a rifle and sidearm on Soldat I use Veteran for faster reloads that got together with my practically infinite ammo to make my firearms incredibly effective. While on say Officer since I use pistol and sword I use greyhound to help me get into those close range engagements I thrive in. But I can see why some people may not like this slower paced and seemingly less powerful play style.
Also "colonization (alpha)" by warshipcommander, its basicaly like a blend of starcraft and helldivers, with eatch player having their own role i defending their outpost from gerz/protoss attack waves Also aparently the ingame protoss originate from ATLAS, not AUIR. According to one of their "start of attack" quotes (aka "my life for Atlas!")
The game is good, time to kill is not too slow that its uncomfortable and not too fast that you have no chance to react. The lack of most UI is because the game is meant to be semi realistic. Guns are balanced pretty fine imo and the mining is very unique. You can see how much damage your gun does in the stats that show up when you are selecting it, then just do math. I really like how the game pays attention to small details, your helmet can fly off your head if its shot, you pull your helmet up when healing yourself... All the game needs is more guns, perks and classes and i think it will honestly be one of the best shooter games on the platform.
One feature of Grave/Digger that is really neat is the medal system. In most games you have to grind for hours just to get one unlockable but in G/D you immediately have access to anything after winning a single match. Also if the guns did more damage and time to kill was lower then camping would be much more effective.
This is a good game, I think. Small but very good quality updates. Also everyone play it at least once because as the description says everyone who plays the game in this phase will be given a small thing once the real war begins, which hints at a very major update.
kinda wanted to say this: Most guns do range from 1-3 shots to kill, with the only gun that doesn't being the Mauser/semi auto, but its like that for a reason. I also thought the part about the DB being the most well balanced was silly because the DB is the most looked down-upon weapon in the game due to its ease-of-use sort of making it a crutch in a way, while being devasting at close range. None of the guns should deal more damage because that would make every gun WAYYY too devastating, like if everyone used the DB but with increased range the game would become 3x less fun. Also I do hope the Nation gets a slight redesign because they do feel kinda lacking yap session over have a good day :D

You also said in the video that you’d talk about the equipment each class has, but… didn’t? Soldat’s ammo pouches, Mortician’s syrettes, Rook’s mining launcher, and Officer’s trench whistle went completely unmentioned despite being defining parts of playing each class skillfully. The whole video just seemed quite uninformed, and as someone who played the game after watching, I feel you did not present a good enough argument to justify the title of the video. I’ll assume the quality of the video is because of the sponsor, and I certainly hope you revisit it in the future, because I truly believe this game holds up better than you have presented here.

I've played a bit of the game since it released and, it is a really cool concept- but I think the base gameplay just gets frustrating after a bit. The only other game to frustrate me to the point G/D had was probably SCP: SL, which- good game, but it's base gameplay is frustrating as a long-term player in terms of balance [though, they're doing a great job with it still and recently.]... besides the point though.

Hey Skit, I have a game that you could review. Its name is Horizon Blue 1919, made by the same people that made Frontline Karelia. It's set in an alternate-history world war one style with France and Germany, and the visuals, gunplay and the map voting system is great. I think that it would be a great game to review and take a look at, because it has just recently been released. Hopefully I can expect a great video about it soon. Just keep it in your head!
There ain't no way that's the actual lore for this game. I think this genre is becoming overdone, samey and boring. I know this isn't exactly a popular opinion, but a few people I know think the same, but the genre of games that try to emulate the theme of "War is bad", "Humans bad", "Everything is awful" because of Battlefield 1 (outright copying the game at times by stealing sounds and voice lines directly from it), is just dumb. As a player I want to have fun while killing the other team, capturing objectives, and winning. Not being constantly reminded about ohhh war is bad!! It's so bad, we're all evil!! I suppose most people don't care about this if the actual gameplay is fun, but a lot of these games suffer from unnecessary realism for the sake of emulating real war, and not creating a fun experience.

i like the game alot because it doesn't reward the usual linear gameplay majority of the time, and instead rewards actual methodical gameplay as the description suggests. majority of the weapons are situational, and to get into said situation you need to play smart and well, rather than being a shooter like centaura which focuses more on the overused linear ww1 combat.
Amazing video as always The only bit I would disagree with is the guns, in my experience the guns only take about 2-3 shots to kill, and are very satisfying to shoot (at least in my opinion). I find it rewarding hearing the loud sound of firing a gun and seeing a mist of blood appear in the distance. I am glad you at least gave this game a chance though and I love your vids!
For what you said on the gunplay, I think a lot of the issues you had can come down to Roblox jank, blood vfx rendering even if the shot didn’t hit, but in general the slowness of it is meant to encourage teamwork, where getting shot will put you out of combat where your teammates can help you, instead of just flat out killing you instantly
What do you mean the guns are underpowered? The main bolt action (Prince Rifle) consistently 2 shots in nearly every range, most rifles and revolvers do, except for the pistol and repeater.
I disagree for the most part. Guns are pretty consistent actually and it if it takes you more than 2-3 shots on a primary to kill somebody, you probably missed (you can tell if you hit somebody by blood splatter which is very clear even at long ranges). Pistols are somewhat weak because they are supposed to be your secondary weapon you can rely on when you can't rely on your primary. Guns also inflict knockback which resets acceleration and is stronger the stronger your gun is, so you can feel the impact of your shots. Overall my main complaint with the game is that it somewhat lacks content, but its literally open beta, it will have more. (Also last stands are unwinnable 99% of the time, so people have option to surrender if they don't want to waste their effort on mostly pointless struggle)
YO LIKE.... IT GOT A TON OF CHANGES AS IT WENT ON.... HERES THE SUMMARY FROM ME!! - Two new classes. Jaeger (boobytraps and baits galore, offensive rook basically) Lancer (Melee galore. Dedicated lance melee that cant be unequipped and morale buffs) - Gadgets for each class (Soldat hands ammo, Rook has grenade launcher for far-ranged mining, Mortician has syringe things that heal a little, Officer has whisle as its gadget, Jaeger has toxic smokebombs and lancer has a morale-flag) - New weapons, guns, perks, etc. - Balances, bugfixes, more - still fun :D
Personally i think the game is unique, but at the end, it is still a 'war' game or teambased shooter game. Not necessarily bad, just another one to the pile...
and the dev abandoned her other game Demise of eden wich i was making most of the gameplay content to rot. due to her coding being so good she managed to mess up roblox studio hard enuff to not be able to open it and she gave up on it. and just moved to this

Honestly, i only knew what all the meds does when i first played because of the samey purposes as the one on there.
What I think would make the Nation a more stylish design is if they gave more WW1 armor, like chest plates and the rook's helmet, since they are supposed to be the more modern looking faction. The Kingdom definitely needs more camouflaging armor, like adding dust to their clothing to make them harder to spot. To avoid camping, coal lung should be a factor that affects those that stay still in the tunnels for too long, not being on either a point or spawn, or if you are not wearing a helmet. A cardinal can be brought to indicate when the fumes become too strong to stay in without dying. Finally, being able to turn off lanterns but have very, very poor visibility would make it worth it.
Side note about the surrender thing, you can get everything in the game in a day then after that there is literally no reason to surrender cuz medals are useless, plus most people don’t cuz it’s fun
the game lacks serious depth and is a bit stuck in the typical purgatory of realism while also being a casual shooter. overall its a solid game but needs to be fleshed out more. also. VC SERVERS DUDE COME ON
The Title is pretty much the truth, although the game is extremely good, it only starts to get really good at around the time you have both a perk and a weapon combo. The early game is extremely grindy just by itself, however the late game is tediously repetitive, with you using probably either a coach gun/revolver or lever/cav sword. All in all, it a great game, and I would recommend playing it, but it has its flaws. (I have around 6 hours on the game)
I think you should try out scorched earth. I recently had a blast playing that game. Its still a ww2 shooter but you can build everywhere and destroy anything. I had a team that built a sky bridge as if they were playing fortnite. Then theres some lads who digged a trench so deep that falling in will kill you. Some guy building a bunker and got the foundation destroyed so the whole structure just rolled off the hill. The game just let you have a lot of freedom to play so i find it quite funny how the player abuse it.
I mean the real lore is “After WWI people were divided into a democracy with a council of “kings”, a feminist religious absolute monarchy controlled by a queen, and a socialist union that produces for both sides to play neutral. Then the Nation and Empire fought WWI style for so long and hard they ruined the surface and forced everyone underground.”
Never did i think king Ferdinand of Romania would be in the lore of a roblox game about medieval knights killing wheraboos with ww1 weaponry in caves and mineshafts. Yet, here we are.
After seeing this, your Trenches, and Centaura video, I think you should try out Horizon Blue: 1919, a WW1 Alt History game that is, in my opinion, one of the most unique in the genre.
6:36 the whole point is to stop instant death by being shot one time. That's why you also have a helmet (also leg shots do half DMG maybe that's why it did not kill in 2 shots)
Leg shots do not do half damage. Shooting any part below the head deals the damage stated in the gun's description regardless of limb. The reason that the ginger woman there took more Grace shots than needed is because Skit missed some due to spread.
I been a fan of archex games And i do like grave/digger that i have up 50 hours to it and i could say that the nations uniforms sometimes harder to spot during fights And the helmets are not cosmetic they can littary save you from a headshot(headshots can insta kill you no matter range or gun)

Arm shots have the same dmg as torso, leg shots decrease the dmg by 70%. And headshots with no helmet insta kill (except equine at longer rangers)

What do you mean the guns are underpowered? The main bolt action (Prince Rifle) consistently 2 shots in nearly every range, most rifles and revolvers do, except for the pistol and repeater.
The clunky gunplay is just a unique trait/style of the devs, similar to decaying winter and their other games they made
I disagree for the most part. Guns are pretty consistent actually and it if it takes you more than 2-3 shots on a primary to kill somebody, you probably missed (you can tell if you hit somebody by blood splatter which is very clear even at long ranges). Pistols are somewhat weak because they are supposed to be your secondary weapon you can rely on when you can't rely on your primary. Guns also inflict knockback which resets acceleration and is stronger the stronger your gun is, so you can feel the impact of your shots. Overall my main complaint with the game is that it somewhat lacks content, but its literally open beta, it will have more. (Also last stands are unwinnable 99% of the time, so people have option to surrender if they don't want to waste their effort on mostly pointless struggle)

Personally i think the game is unique, but at the end, it is still a 'war' game or teambased shooter game. Not necessarily bad, just another one to the pile...

What I think would make the Nation a more stylish design is if they gave more WW1 armor, like chest plates and the rook's helmet, since they are supposed to be the more modern looking faction. The Kingdom definitely needs more camouflaging armor, like adding dust to their clothing to make them harder to spot. To avoid camping, coal lung should be a factor that affects those that stay still in the tunnels for too long, not being on either a point or spawn, or if you are not wearing a helmet. A cardinal can be brought to indicate when the fumes become too strong to stay in without dying. Finally, being able to turn off lanterns but have very, very poor visibility would make it worth it.
Is the whole adrenochrome thing the actual lore because idk that might make the writers a bit sus.
This game has everything i love. Tunnel warfare, armor, and trench raiders.

the game lacks serious depth and is a bit stuck in the typical purgatory of realism while also being a casual shooter. overall its a solid game but needs to be fleshed out more. also. VC SERVERS DUDE COME ON
The Title is pretty much the truth, although the game is extremely good, it only starts to get really good at around the time you have both a perk and a weapon combo. The early game is extremely grindy just by itself, however the late game is tediously repetitive, with you using probably either a coach gun/revolver or lever/cav sword. All in all, it a great game, and I would recommend playing it, but it has its flaws. (I have around 6 hours on the game)

I think you should try out scorched earth. I recently had a blast playing that game. Its still a ww2 shooter but you can build everywhere and destroy anything.
I had a team that built a sky bridge as if they were playing fortnite. Then theres some lads who digged a trench so deep that falling in will kill you. Some guy building a bunker and got the foundation destroyed so the whole structure just rolled off the hill. The game just let you have a lot of freedom to play so i find it quite funny how the player abuse it.

6:36 the whole point is to stop instant death by being shot one time. That's why you also have a helmet (also leg shots do half DMG maybe that's why it did not kill in 2 shots)
Leg shots do not do half damage. Shooting any part below the head deals the damage stated in the gun's description regardless of limb. The reason that the ginger woman there took more Grace shots than needed is because Skit missed some due to spread.

And i do like grave/digger that i have up 50 hours to it and i could say that the nations uniforms sometimes harder to spot during fights
And the helmets are not cosmetic they can littary save you from a headshot(headshots can insta kill you no matter range or gun)
