Hey guys, I just found out that UMG claimed a section of this video wherein I'm showing off a record-player that is playing a song from the Platters that mirrors a similar moment in Arkham City. As a result, they are claiming all ad-revenue for this video and seem to have placed a plethora of ads on the video. I have filed a dispute which means that YT is holding the ad revenue until the review process is complete. Once it is, the collected revenue will be given to the party that is deemed correct in the dispute (hopefully, this will be me). All of this to say, I apologize for the number of ads on the video, and the second I get control of the monetization again, I will remove all of the excess trigger-points. Thank you for understanding! Much love, Luke
Unless YT's policy has changed, I'm pretty sure it's up to the claiming party (in this case UMG) to decide if it's fair use. They usually wait until the last possible day to deny your claim against theirs, and still take all the revenue. I hope this has changed, but I'm not a UA-camr so I'm not an expert.
Geez, that actually makes his character almost irredeemable if you have the cop shoot everyone in the diner. Honestly, that would have been a good story hook if Jason got his act together earlier but found the cops are gunning for him for all the awful stuff he did.
I can't believe I spent hours and hours solving riddles and collecting trophies, only to get a 30g achievement. I feel even worse for PlayStation players as you get a bronze trophy. Ridiculous
A pretty cool detail in the fear toxin diner scene is if you don’t kill anyone, later in the game the cops will comment on how he didn’t kill anyone and I thought that was a neat detail. Edit: If you kill people the cops will say that “he’ll lose his badge for sure”. Also Joker sings “only you” to Batman.
@@sohcratic The overall story with Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight was overall poorly done and predictable but the stuff with the Joker is fantastic. I wonder what we could have gotten with Dini's original idea of having Hush and Scarecrow team up to beat Batman.
@David Cuellar I agree with you on the joker commentary. When the Riddler at one point sealed me In a room with the only exit blocked by drones, I got so stuck that the Joker simply told me to “USE THE DAMN CAR!!” That was the best moment for me when it wasn’t story relevant.
Selby Grime Crew Media I really don’t know how I got through Origins, City and Asylum. Playing through Knight after being uh-Jokerfied was really tough.
just imagine if they replaced the tank-mobile with the batmobile from arkham asylum just for transportation.... would of been the best game of all time
Christian Longo that would of been awesome this game could’ve been great I did enjoy it but with that damn tank I would find myself quitting and coming back from time to time unlike the other two games where it had me canceling plans
Christian Longo i agree. Always wanted a Batman game that was like the series where you get in the bat mobile and go but definitely didn’t want that tank lol. Too clunky. I’d rather have it like the Batman animated series one. Like Batman vengeance did
Take me on home to the asylum never alone in the Asylum... People hate that joker is in every arkham game but u can't deny joker is the best part about arkham. Knight
I think that Joker sings "Only you" to Batman, not Harley. I also recommend you watch "Every Easter Egg In Arckham Knight" from the youtube channel "Batman Arckham Videos" because I consider the HUGE amount of Easter Eggs as an important part of your experience if you are a hardcore Batman Fan as I believe you are.
Joker sings to Batman! Right before Joker starts singing during the credits, you hear "You have One voice message" , just like with the rest of the calls joker leaves for you in the game!
Totally agree with you. I think Arkham Knight has the most content out of all the Arkham games. I loved all the mechanics, and sure there were some annoying things, but it was great in my opinion
I really enjoyed the batmobile taking more presedence as it was a bold move and gave something more, otherwise everyone would have bitched its the same old game. No the problem for sure was the story, it didn't commit, it was very convaluted. The boss fights as someone else mentioned here also lacked nuance, hence why asylum takes first place for balance all round.
To be honest, the one thing I was more mad about the game other than the overflowing tank gameplay is that Deathstroke was in the game, but was inside a freaking tank. Arkham Origins is my least favorite game of the series as well, but one of the things they nailed is that Deathstroke fight. We should have gotten a better version of that in Arkham Knight. If WB Montreal was able to do that, then imagine Rocksteady.
Gerwin Eric yeah i agree... the boss fights or rather a lack of them is my least favourite part of AK... I loved the Deathstroke fight in origins and i would Have loved to See something like that here Only with Arkham Knight as your oponent :/
Over time I think I realized that I liked Arkham origins more than Arkham knight. I played it after the bugs got patched and while the gameplay is copied and pasted from Arkham city, it is still very fun, the story is pretty good, and the boss battles are amazing
@@BobPantsSpongeSquare97 boss battles are mostly less creative copy pasted versions of the ones in City. They're not that great. It's just the Arkham series always sucked with boss fights, so even the mediocre fights in Origins seem incredible compared to the rest of the series
@@evanrailman7898 I disagree. Like the firefly fight was pretty original and good. Bane and killer croc were about the same but everyone elses felt different. Desthstroke's was very good and copperheads was neat. In comparision arkham origins boss fights were probably the best aside from Arkham citys
@@BobPantsSpongeSquare97 Um...Deathstrokes boss fight in Origins is a direct copy and paste from the Ra's Al Ghul fight from Arkham City. Just look up a comparison or watch one after the other, they are literally the exact same.
Arkham Knight will forever remain as one of my favourite games. Not only is it still one of the best looking games out there, but the gameplay itself is as close as you can get to the ultimate Batman experience. Thank you for giving it a critique! If I could throw a recommendation of my own, I would love if you decided to critique the Bioshock series. Edit: I know Luke did a ‘’mini analysis” on it before, but I’d love a full scale critique. Especially because I recently completed the series.
Me too!! Loved the gameplay .... But the Bat-tank simply doesn't fit into the Aesthetic of Batman and Gotham... Bat-tank could be a one off separate game but they should've focused a lot more on Batman
@@yasharodiya2085 I disagree. When the new game come out, it was a batman game that caters to a warlike environment. The batmobile was appropriately used as another one of batman's gadgets, what with the grapple winch and sonars. A response to an increasingly dangerous opposition that may seem jarring to many diehard fans of the previous game. Tank battles seem to be a much more intimate combat scheme that parallels man-on-man ones. I Just think about the "tank" as "battle mode" rather, since it's another means of batman to prepare for the numerous puzzles he has to overcome, similar to his other gadgets. Even despite the inclusivity of a large amount of side missions and collectibles, i never felt annoyed becuase it was simply a very well designed game, and that those were optional for story completion anyways.
I think the biggest thing that resulted in the lower quality of this game when compared to asylum and city is that Paul Dini, the main writer of those two games, did not return for this one.
Oh yeah true i forgot that detail. I remember in like 2012 there were news articles about how paul dini wasnt involved with the arkham city hardly quinn's revenge and was gonna leave so it raised questions on when tur next Arkham game would enter development
Ironically, Paul Dini, the Batman comic book and TAS writer, wrote the worst stories in all of the Arkham games. Asylum has such a bland uninteresting character for Batman , and the resolution was dumb, while City once again does not develop the character much, and forces in as many contrived hamstrung characters and plot points that it can, only for it all to be resolved in rushed and unsatisfying ways.
@@evanrailman7898 Really, that's worse than suicidal Batman who can't work out chemicals are being made in a chemical plant, Joker's blood being a magical virus that turns people into him, Scarecrow wanting to gas the city even though the only people still there who don't work for him are perhaps two dozen GCPD officers, and Jason Todd somehow assembling a gigantic Batman-killing army from nowhere while using drone tanks even though he knows Batman's no-killing rule would make manned ones a thousand times more inconvenient for him to deal with?
After playing Far Cry 5 anytime I hear this song my brain immediately goes "Oh shit." I was paranoid as soon as the dinner scene started. Thanks Far Cry 5. "Ooooonlyyyyy Yoooooouuuuu....."
@@W.Isarnorix.D something about the way vinyl produces sound in general does this to me. There's a certain inherent darkness i find in Jazz and Big Band music from the 50s and 60s. Frank Sinatra's "I've Got Yoy Under My Skin" is a great way to start the game too imo and perfectly sums up the whole theme of the game before you even see batman.
I loved your Arkham series. Fantastic job! Also, here is something neat, when you start the new game plus, there is something different in the opening scene when Joker is burning.
Lmao turtle bro, there’s no good reason. He wanted to slow down Batman?? Make him try to disable tanks without destroying them then. Blowing them up easily and quickly because there is no collateral damage is not slowing him down. Cheaper? He could literally halve the tanks needed to solve the problem if he put people in them. Also I imagine he doesn’t give a shot about their personal safety and a cockpit would have been an easy addition. Lmao you’re over here reasoning why they should have made Batman’s life easier instead of harder.
@TurtleO’Confusion The other thing people are missing is that the Arkham Knight is still Jason Todd and he ends up being Batman's ally in the end. Subconsciously he never really wanted to kill him, he was literally just trying to get his attention.
rjmarble34 I agree but I think there was a little too much of it. It’s been a while since I last played it but I remember getting sick of it after a while
@Vicious Savage The Arkham games never had very good bosses, with the exception of Mr Freeze. They were either really shit or just mediocre. Knight replaced shitty bosses with more interesting gameplay mechanics. If you settle for mediocrity, at least you still have Origins and a million Ubisoft games
My main issues with this game - WAY too many drone fights....took me away from feeling I was Batman - WAY too much Batmobile reliance - Same basic plot as Arkham City - DLC episodes pack was poor (the Bat Girl DLC was passable) - The Arkham Knight being obviously Jason Todd - Streets being empty of normal people (AGAIN)
Arkham City: Bruce Wayne being taken into a prison city, who then gets his bat suit sent in and makes his way through the city to finally shut down the evil mastermind behind it. Arkham Knight: A mysterious figure with relations to Batman arises with an army that overruns the city, controlling the ground and skies, as well as Scarecrow who wants to destroy the city. The mysterious figure wants to kill Batman, who is revealed to be the previous Robin. After defeating him, Batman’s accomplice, Oracle, is kidnapped and Batman gives up his identity. He is saved by the now revealed Jason Todd, and defeats scarecrow. Then he pretends to die. Not very similar to me.
@@NorthsideChamps16 a lot of these sorts of criticisms do not come from people being very thoughtful. These criticisms tend to be intellectual shortcuts to any real discussion.
Wonderful way to spend an hour and 20 mins watching from start to finish. Appreciate the deep dives into these games man, genuinely appreciate the hard work !
James Harvin There have been a ton of rumors of a new Warner Bros Arkham game (devs from Origins). There is still hope yet. But at this rate, they'll pull an Origins again (launch the game only on current gen and completely skip next-gen consoles)
That opening scene where you take control of the cop makes me want a game set in Gotham where you just play as a regular policeman. The aesthetic of the diner and the rainy street is so damn good, Gotham from a normal streetview would probably be a pretty cool map to explore. Maybe you could work your way up from a beat cop to a detective and encounter more of Batman's rogues gallery as the story progresses. Something L.A. Noire-ish, only this time they actually flesh out the open world.
@@unregisteredassaultbutterk1185 Who the fuck wants to play as a cop in a batman game?? Go play LA Noire. Thank God you are not part of the gaming industry.
@@unregisteredassaultbutterk1185 lol..yo some ppl just gotta be negative. It's ok to disagree. Everyone has their likes and dislikes but dont mean ppl have to be a negative nancy about it.
They didn't just spend a fortune on the Batmobile. They resigned the entire city to work with the Batmobile. The streets in Arkham City weren't wide enough so they had to design the city with the Batmobile in mind. So they spent a ton of time and money on the car itself, the city for the car to fit in and the missions and Riddler puzzles that required the Batmobile. That's gotta be 70% of the budget spent on Batmobile related gameplay. There was no way they could change it after that.
@@DrakeHunter324yeah people wanted the Batmobile not the bat tank lol. The Batmobile parts where you drive and normal navigation is amazing it’s the overused tank sections that are abysmal. I’ve also never gotten why people wanted the Batmobile to begin with though as it’s literally just a car it’s not as if it could have been some super unique thing
I think the Akrkham Knight used unmanned tanks and drones to get Batman at his best. He didn't want Batman to hold back. If there had been people in them he would have avoided combat. But because they were empty Batman went out of his way to fight as hard as he could. This means he'll get hurt/die or at least get tired and distracted. That's what AK meant buy "push him to his limit".
40:20 “And I’ll let just let this scene play out because I really love it and I think you will love it to--- Door dash has all the things you love and more. Order from Doordash today” I was laughing so hard I know it’s stupid but I had to share, also Luke buddy the ad placement
He sings only you to Batman. The whole thing with Arkham city is he’s leaving Batman voicemails. The voice mail sounds of the recording shows it’s a voicemail to Batman. He’s singing only you to batman
1:07:01 - for some of the side missions, like the tower watchers (or whatever they called them) and the land mines, you do have to wait to beat certain portions of the main mission to unlock the rest of these side objectives. But for other missions, specifically the Professor Pyg one that you’re talking about, you can actually solve it almost right away. You find these bodies by listening for the opera music, and they’re all available for you to solve as soon as you start the game as Batman. The only reason why you can’t 100% this one is because you need the Batmobile to transport Pyg to prison, and the bridge isn’t open to you until a later portion of the game.
Batman: Arkham Knight is a beautiful mess, it aims high and is very ambitious narratively and thematically but the execution of said narrative is all over the place as it's trying to juggle way too many storylines (even for a video game) to the point where the pacing often feels rushed and many of the Arkham City set-ups are glossed over/forgotten about, and the game just wants to you to figure out the twist and no Arkham Knight is not a new character him being called AK doesn't mean his new so yeah Dini's abcense as a writer is defintely felt. Still Arkham Knight is a well-made game the graphical fedilety is incredible and the game is just breathtaking visually easily the best graphics in the Arkham games and in one of the best in the current gen, the combat is better and smoother than ever, and I love phycological struggle between Batman and Joker yes even dead, Joker takes a major plot point in an Arkham game but it feeds into Batman overall arcs, yes Batman finally has a full well-realized arc in the series and the emotinal moments are the best here (also does anyone notice there's more humor in this game compared to others it's still dark and serious but there's more humor especially with the GCPD cops and Joker's meta one liners and sequences). In conclusion I'd say it's the weakest of the series even weaker than Origins but still an impressive achievement even if it wasn't the most satisfying finale for this great series.
As someone who also played on the hardest difficulty the fear takedowns are way too op they literally let you insta kill 5 people and trivialize stealth sections
I did too, they seemed to break up the normal combat and predator gameplay rather nicely. I however don't like the replacement of bossfights with "stealth" batmobile sections.
@@shalindelta7 I didn't find them to be over bearing at all in the main story. The side mission with the mines on the other hand had way to many But to each his own I guess.

At 38:25 I got to say I was pretty sad when I heard your thoughts about a Rocksteady suicide squad game. Not because you were wrong that it could have been great but because they messed up so bad what you and a lot of other people's visions for it were 😢
Y’all ever notice how Batman never addresses the bullet wound he suffers from Jason towards the beginning of the main story?? Idk why but this was on my mind the entirety of the time I played the game.
Great video! I was one of the few who pre-ordered the game on PC and played it all the way through to the end in its broken state, then played through again once it was re released on steam and (somewhat) optimized. It was awful, but I still love the game. The game play physics and graphics are at their evolutionary peak, as is the story and Arkham franchise. It's poetic for the franchise to end on a high note right along side with its super refined combat, stealth and graphics. This franchise came along way over the years.
I work at Starbucks and my co worker is addicted to it. Yes we can’t sell higher than grande because it’s literally too much caffeine. Regular cold brew can go up to trenta because we put ice in it, watering it down... (we also water down the kegs further before we serve it)

intesting tidbit, the bearded guy you see walk out and wave as the policeman enters the diner is modeled after Sefton Hill, the game's creative director
Scarecrow was a truly wonderful villain, and most players missed the philosophy of his character and his intentions. Some of his monologues were really deep and thought provoking, but they were hid behind a generic "evil bad guy with spooky voice and edgy design". John Noble is a great voice actor
@@Birdy890 lmao "well written", he just had generic spooky bad guy dialogue, at least Scarecrow in Arkham Knight said thought provoking shit. Don't get me wrong, I like Asylum Scarecrow, but trying to say he's well written and AK's Scarecrow isn't is asinine.
53:50 obviously he didn’t wanna kill Batman. The next lines are Barbra: I thought my dad killed you Bruce: Gordon knew what he was doing. Also the Arkham Knight says multiple times that the strongest part of Batman’s armor is the the bat symbol setting that up.
Rocksteady: “the Arkham Knight is an original character nobody has ever made!” Me (watching e3 2014): “no it ain’t.” Arkham Knight: “it’s a me, Jason!” Me 2015: 🤣 Me now: still one of my favorite games though. Loved most of it.
So you are questioning why Batman didnt check Barbaras corpse.. What about Scarecrow knowing what Batman saw in his personalized fear vision. There was just no way he could tell what Batman saw, since everyone sees different things injected with the toxin.
I think the power of suggestion comes heavily into play. Because the image of Barbara in the safe house batman saw on his gauntlet thing, that scarecrow was also broadcasting across the city (according to alfred) was definitely real. Scarecrow then could have had his militia pull a real quick bait and switch and leave the wheelchair behind. This would most likely make scarecrow believe batman will see what he wants him to see. Everything scarecrow says as soon as batman arrives at the safehouse was most likely thoughtfully scripted by him to ensure batman would create the illusion of Babs Shooting herself all on his own. Like scarecrow says straight after the event "you'll bring death to all who follow you" this is one of batmans biggest fears. Hell, he probs has nightmares about much similar situations daily. Add a little fear toxin and some props, bingo. This is also why I think Scarecrow opens with "we both know fear is theatrics" which I think he meant in a very literal sense. I think it's brilliant. But still a massive stretch at the same time.
The fear toxin affects what Batman sees. I turned on detective mode and I saw it say Barbara Gordon deceased. It didn’t actually say that because she was not actually there but Batman saw that cause the fear toxin
Hey Luke, please make a video on the Middle Earth games now that you're playing Shadow of war. I really think that the nemesis system is something that many other games can benifit from, going forward.
At 35:00, when scarecrow injects joker/Batman, because joker is in control, it shows jokers worst fear, which is being forgotten, which leads Batman to be able to take control again
I’ve wanted to replay this game because it really is amazing, but as soon as I amp myself up to play it, my mind goes back to those tank battles, and that has literally kept me from ever replaying it. For some reason I never considered your idea of essentially skipping them by way of changing the difficulty. Might just do that sometime soon! Fantastic critique, as always. I thought the song was about Joker's relationship with Batman... its a love song, but when you think about the lyrics, it's about how much he needs him, right?
I actually bought the game within the first few hours of release (before it was taken off of Steam). Started it up, noticed how badly it was running, but kept playing anyway. Still enjoyed the story and new gameplay features on 20 fps. A few weeks later, after the second release date, I opened up my Steam account and to my surprise found that rocksteady had given me a free copy of every Arkham game (including the 2D blackgate game), all of them game if the year editions. And I believe they did so for everyone who bought it that early. A generous compensation and another reason I respect WB/Rocksteady. For making a great gaming series and handling the bad port situation a lot better than Ubisoft with their AC Unity blunder.
I enjoyed the Batmobile. The vehicle combat feels solid and well polished. I would just have fewer tank moments. Batman using it against the cloudburst makes sense. Having two or three tank battles with the Batmobile would be awesome.
The reason why people didn’t like the bat mobile in Nolan’s trilogy- It’s a tank What does Rocksteady choose to make the batmobile in Arkham Knight- a tank.
@Jacob Wood I think it was an interesting take on Batman. Plenty of other Batman movies were made in the crazy, wacky Batman world but they weren't nearly as successful. It was obvious that Batman needed to do something new.
Anthony Salerno not everyone liked the Nolan Batmobile. It’s ugly, doesn’t have cool bay features, and is essentially a tank. He should have a “Batmobile” and then also a “bat tank”. His batcycle ended up being cooler than his actual Batmobile haha
Vicious Savage the Deathstroke boss fight nearly made me cry. His fight in Arkham Origins is one of my favourite boss fights in any game I’ve ever played. When you arrest him in Arkham Knight he tells you to pull over the car and fight him Mano a Mano, and I would have done that in a second. They did my mans Slade DIRTY
Origins was acknowledged in Arkham Knight in a few ways.. in the Evidence room area of the GCPD the evidence for Anarky (who only appeared on Origins), Black Mask had stuff read on them about event that happened in Origins and they had the shock gloves on display from Origins as well.. and Firefly had references when he popped up about how Batman defeated him before... and finally the credits thank the Origin's developer Warner Montreal for the help in the series (even before the later Batgirl DLC the team did for Rocksteady)
The Joker was like a jumpscare you were always happy to see. I also love the organic techniques they used with Joker's "teleportation" to make it feel like he was there, literally, every time Batman turns around. I find that fitting because that's how Joker was as a villain in life.
The only things that bummed me were: A) obvious Jason Todd foreshadowing, who, I remind everyone, had not been mentioned in the franchise at this point B) Ambiguous ending: when you end a franchise of this magnitude, you cannot take a cliffhanger ending. Either Bruce dies, or he doesn’t; if he has a successor, Show us who it is. C) Azrael and Hush, two plot threads set up in Arkham City; as well as Ra’s disappearance, being answered via side quests and a DLC, and not in the story proper. Not to mention Calendar Man, Croc, and Solomon Grundy being swept under the rug. D) not having Jason Todd’s origin feature the League Of Assassins, which frankly makes more sense than the story here E) The Batmobile of course. It’s better now that I’m replaying it and seeing it through a fresh set of eyes, but it’s still kind of lame. F) Deathstroke’s terrible boss battle Arkham Knight is amazing though. Great gameplay, good story, fantastic visuals. Even having the goons be smarter AIs and covering each other was very clever, given they are a militia and not just random street thugs. Also: Rocksteady totally acknowledges Origins. Origins is repeatedly acknowledged in Knight. You can find the villains’ gear in the GCPD lockup, you can hear thug dialogue referencing events from the game, and Firefly and Deathstroke reference their Origins appearances, have the same voice actors, and similar designs.
Young MC I feel like it’s fairly obvious he faked his death at the end. He got ahold of fear toxin and now gets to use Batman as a symbol of fear since people think he’s dead.
thats4thebirds I suppose yeah. Just not my personal favorite. I guess it’s better than the way The Dark Knight Rises dealt with a “Batman fakes death” plot.
I quite heavily disagree about the "Fear Takedown" and it's implementation. I've played the game through on the hardest difficulty and I think that people are right that it undermines the Predator sections and makes them much less satisfying than in previous games, including Origins. The basic problem isn't so much difficulty, it's that it's an overpowered tool and the developers were clearly aware of that so had to make clunky decisions to accommodate for it, when it's fully upgraded you can take out, what, 6 enemies in one go? It has very low cost to use, all you need to do is get into a position where you could pull off a regular stealth takedown, and even if its not particularly good positioning on your part you can still erase like half a room. It doesn't even need to be charged up initially for each encounter and for every subsequent use you only need one silent takedown to charge up. To try to deal with this the devs had to add way more goons for the stealth encounters, I think later ones have up to twelves enemies or more, which is way higher than the previous games. Because of that, non-fear takedowns are way less usable since it means that the entire encounter is stretched out tediously long, but Fear takedowns themselves don't really expect much by way of clever positioning from the player, quite the contrary you can get away with ridiculous stuff where most of the enemies are crowded around someones body and you can just blunder in and take them all out. The end result is that you have this win button you can hammer at almost any time and the previous games's priorities of isolating and manipulating enemies while being extremely mindful of ways to use the environment and their increasing fear to tip the odds in your favour (IE, behaving like Batman) are degraded, Fear takedowns are usually the objectively best option, so why not use it? I'm not sure how to fix this, I really think it's just a fundamentally bad mechanic, I remember Rich Evans of Redlettermedia suggested that the charge mechanic be much harsher, with it not available when an encounter starts and it only becoming an option as the enemies fear rises, with the rationale being that when you can use it that it's mostly to clean up remaining enemies when they are shitting their pants and unable to think straight and react logically, that would seem like a better idea than throwing it out near the start of each encounter to decimate the enemy right off the bat.
Hey guys,
I just found out that UMG claimed a section of this video wherein I'm showing off a record-player that is playing a song from the Platters that mirrors a similar moment in Arkham City.
Much love,

Unless YT's policy has changed, I'm pretty sure it's up to the claiming party (in this case UMG) to decide if it's fair use.
I liked it. The drone sh*t got really really tiring but the rest I really enjoyed. I liked having joker as a commentary
David Cuellar feel exactly the same bud
Vicious Savage what’s bad about the stor
Thank you
Exactly
Christian Longo i agree. Always wanted a Batman game that was like the series where you get in the bat mobile and go but definitely didn’t want that tank lol. Too clunky. I’d rather have it like the Batman animated series one. Like Batman vengeance did
basically, the tanks are really well made but they're not fun
oh and the batmobile drives so good
The main story isn't the best but as a whole package it has so many great moments.
Definitely better than the story in City and Asylum
Evan Railman that's a hot take
It has the best gameplay of all of them but has the worst story
@@evanrailman7898 city is has a better story than knight asylum and origins
the main story is the best in the series.
Take me on home to the asylum never alone in the Asylum... People hate that joker is in every arkham game but u can't deny joker is the best part about arkham. Knight
speak word hard?
Shooting The Riddler is so damn satisfying.
Well at least joker is still dead in Arkham Knight I also really love his storyline for the Arkham universe it's very sad and tragic
Your parents are dead and I can’t stop laughing!
"I killed all your friends and I can't stop laughing!", this was the most memorable part of the game
Wait, people thought joker was singing for Harley?
@@seanisgone5413 he thought so
@@LuckyLex_ Oh thanks.

Joker sings to Batman! Right before Joker starts singing during the credits, you hear "You have One voice message" , just like with the rest of the calls joker leaves for you in the game!
I love this game I'm sorry. I love it. It isn't perfect, it isn't Arkham Asylum, it definitely isn't Arkham City but it's still good
bat-tank mobile stuff was never a annoyance to me ... real problem is game lacked boss fights
Totally agree with you. I think Arkham Knight has the most content out of all the Arkham games. I loved all the mechanics, and sure there were some annoying things, but it was great in my opinion
@@shlombox whole story had much higher stakes ... making batman more badass
YOUR GOD imo Arkham Knight is slightly better than Asylum.
Fallen One I completely agree!
@@doe-dw9lo damn that's quite a name 😂
@@yasharodiya2085 yep

@@evanrailman7898
Really, that's worse than suicidal Batman who can't work out chemicals are being made in a chemical plant, Joker's blood being a magical virus that turns people into him, Scarecrow wanting to gas the city even though the only people still there who don't work for him are perhaps two dozen GCPD officers, and Jason Todd somehow assembling a gigantic Batman-killing army from nowhere while using drone tanks even though he knows Batman's no-killing rule would make manned ones a thousand times more inconvenient for him to deal with?

@@W.Isarnorix.D something about the way vinyl produces sound in general does this to me. There's a certain inherent darkness i find in Jazz and Big Band music from the 50s and 60s. Frank Sinatra's "I've Got Yoy Under My Skin" is a great way to start the game too imo and perfectly sums up the whole theme of the game before you even see batman.
Whatever you think of this game it’s worth full price just to hear Mark Hamill sing
Almost as good as Batman singing “Am I Blue?”
Nope
I loved your Arkham series. Fantastic job!
Also, here is something neat, when you start the new game plus, there is something different in the opening scene when Joker is burning.
If only the Arkham Knight put actual people in those drone tanks...
would have been a short story lmao
True
They'd just break down instead of explode then.
@TurtleO’Confusion tech is not cheaper than a persone.
The tank battles were fun... out of place but fun
rjmarble34 I agree but I think there was a little too much of it.

My main issues with this game
- WAY too many drone fights....took me away from feeling I was Batman
- WAY too much Batmobile reliance
- Same basic plot as Arkham City
- DLC episodes pack was poor (the Bat Girl DLC was passable)
- The Arkham Knight being obviously Jason Todd
- Streets being empty of normal people (AGAIN)
I don't think the batmobile should be removed. I Think the battle mode on it should be removed
The streets were empty because the city was evacuated. Where were u the first 15 minutes of the game that showed this and told the player this?

That opening scene where you take control of the cop makes me want a game set in Gotham where you just play as a regular policeman. The aesthetic of the diner and the rainy street is so damn good, Gotham from a normal streetview would probably be a pretty cool map to explore. Maybe you could work your way up from a beat cop to a detective and encounter more of Batman's rogues gallery as the story progresses. Something L.A. Or play as Commissioner Gordan from his perspective.

People wanted the Batmobile so they gave us the Batmobile.

Luke, is your channel run by you and you alone? How on earth do you churn out so many high quality and long videos so fast. It’s insane
Damn. Luke predicted the suicide rocksteady game
That's what AK meant buy "push him to his limit".
yes and the fact that he wasn't allowed to kill batman cause scarecrow wanted him to suffer first

He sings only you to Batman. The whole thing with Arkham city is he’s leaving Batman voicemails. The voice mail sounds of the recording shows it’s a voicemail to Batman. He’s singing only you to batman
It could have been called "Batman: Arkham Nightmare". Dunno, just sounds cooler and more appropriate to me
1:07:01 - for some of the side missions, like the tower watchers (or whatever they called them) and the land mines, you do have to wait to beat certain portions of the main mission to unlock the rest of these side objectives.

Honestly, the lowest point of Knight was the stealth tank sections.
The stealth tank sections were good imo, it's the battles which were annoying, the stealth was fine
Yes!! Been waiting for this video for so long

Can you imagine if someone made a mod where they remove all of the tank sections.
You could finish the game in one afternoon.
You don’t even to mod out ALL of them. Like, even 25% of them would massively improve the pacing.

At 35:00, when scarecrow injects joker/Batman, because joker is in control, it shows jokers worst fear, which is being forgotten, which leads Batman to be able to take control again
i think the writing suffered a little due to Paul Dini not being the main writer like he was for the first 2 games
I think the writing was more appropriate for a game rather than animated television.

The reason why people didn’t like the bat mobile in Nolan’s trilogy- It’s a tank
What does Rocksteady choose to make the batmobile in Arkham Knight- a tank.
@Jacob Wood I think it was an interesting take on Batman. Plenty of other Batman movies were made in the crazy, wacky Batman world but they weren't nearly as successful. It was obvious that Batman needed to do something new.
People loved the batmobile in the nolan trilogy what crack are you smoking?
Anthony Salerno not everyone liked the Nolan Batmobile. It’s ugly, doesn’t have cool bay features, and is essentially a tank. He should have a “Batmobile” and then also a “bat tank”. His batcycle ended up being cooler than his actual Batmobile haha

@Vicious Savage i really enjoyed yhe tank stealth segments, even including deathstroke, i would have preferred a 1v1 hand to hand fight but whatever
Sugestion as a critique: uncharted 4
The Joker was like a jumpscare you were always happy to see. I also love the organic techniques they used with Joker's "teleportation" to make it feel like he was there, literally, every time Batman turns around. I find that fitting because that's how Joker was as a villain in life.
The only things that bummed me were:
A) obvious Jason Todd foreshadowing, who, I remind everyone, had not been mentioned in the franchise at this point
B) Ambiguous ending: when you end a franchise of this magnitude, you cannot take a cliffhanger ending.
D) not having Jason Todd’s origin feature the League Of Assassins, which frankly makes more sense than the story here
E) The Batmobile of course. It’s better now that I’m replaying it and seeing it through a fresh set of eyes, but it’s still kind of lame.
F) Deathstroke’s terrible boss battle
Arkham Knight is amazing though.
Young MC yeah it’s a shame we didn’t get this Batman getting a snack in France where Alfred is lmao
The way you zoomed at 19:24 made me laugh so much😂
I quite heavily disagree about the "Fear Takedown" and it's implementation.
That suicide squad idea aged beautifully.
It could of been titled “Arkham fear” 😂
I was _sooo_ ready for the jumpscare at the end there.. and then nothing happened what the heck?
