I would leave the levinson setup alone and get the connector you need for an aftermarket CD player. Then run your amp and subs off of a totally different hot wire and ground. Just like a normal system. Good luck fren

You can get the Tesla’s tule screen for 400-500 dollars. This already cost like 300 a new radio is even more plus installation if you aren’t doing it yourself? Idk up to you

I'm a bit confused. Why would replacing that part of it, without the adapter, make you lose control of the climate control? It doesn't look like there is any part of that piece you replaced that is attached to the climate control. I know nothing about stereo replacement. I'm looking for a replacement for my lexus gx470's broken stereo.
Since early 2000 Lexus made things a bit more complicated with their infotainment system where when a component is removed such as a stereo for this case the AC and factory screen stops working. I know, it's frustrating. That is why we came up with a solution so that you won't lose your AC :)
oh yeay! I have an 07 GX470 w/nav and need a new stereo. Currently my nav isnt working because we disconnected the battery before knowing it would disable the nav. @@BeatSonicUS a single DIN that replaces the radio cassette deck. No interest in replacing flat screen and the rest. The speakers & amplifiers are fine. Something that integrates to the steering wheel would be a bonus. AUX rather than bluetooth for quality purposes. Ideally a top shelf preamp with a low failure rate.

Correct, you will be able to install an amp and subwoofer very easily with the new aftermarket radio. Unfortunately the factory mic will be lost with the new headunit. However, you may use the mic on the aftermarket radio.
Factory cassette player will be completely removed and replaced with a new single din headunit. Unfortunately we have not tested to confirm use of factory DVD player.

Even the used eBay multi display screen alone costs over $350 for a decent, non scratched up unit with a month warranty ha! I’d rather go this route too but searching other options bc I used to be skilled at this work so I believe in myself

Oh man I could use this device too for my 2005 Land Cruiser Prado (basically the same as GX470) Japan Import. (I live in Malaysia by the way). It comes with a minidisc player instead of a normal tape deck, and the FM freq is only for Japan market. Even the headunit language are all in Japanese so I can't for the life of me do anything with the settings other than climate control. Driving without any music is so boring. D

The kit was installed by Best Buys. For an install like this, expect to pay 1-2 hours of labor charge that may range from $60-$120 an hour by a local installation shop.

The tracks on the aftermarket radio will only be controlled through steering wheel and aftermarket radio. The factory screen will not be able to control the aftermarket radio.
I'm fairly savvy with car audio installations. I've seen a few other people ask similar questions, but I wanted more clarification. First question, is there an included trim piece/adapter for the aftermarket stereo or does it directly fit into the slot for the old audio controls? The trim pieces are included with the kit. Yes the steering wheel controls will continue to work as long as you purchase a separate steering wheel control adapter. You can add the steering wheel control on our website when purchasing
We have followed up with the customer and the steering wheel voice control is operable. The menu item on the radio needs to be on a mode where voice control is useful. Such as Apple Carplay or Android Auto.
Just get a $15 Bluetooth to FM adapter and stick it in the cig lighter- done. My GX has the Levinson system and it sucks. Half blown out and just in the way. I need an adapter to bypass it, not interface with it.
Beat-Sonic I want to keep the screen, wheel controls, and unit, but lose the amplified audio system itself. Basically a conversion kit that takes the stock system and adapts it to standard RCA signal level output instead of 17channel Levinson BS.
In order to do that you will need: 1. New Radio 2. New aftermarket amplifier 3. New aftermarket speakers 4. Steering wheel control interace. These four items will give you the new sound system and you can bypass the factory sound system while keeping steering wheel controls. And then you will need 5. Our Adapter to keep the climate controls working.

Sounds like an engine problem. Please take your vehicle to a local mechanic to get checked up. Could be a number of things

The way it sticks out is the design of the stereo as it makes it easier for the user to access the controls such as the volume knob.

Easy, get a new amplifier and hard wire to new speakers with a new radio. If you want to keep the factory AC working you will still need this adapter.
