I used to have nightmares every night about tornadoes for no reason. Thanks for sharing this. Great learning tool even if you aren't a Meteorologist or a storm chaser!!! Good to let friends and family know what's going on too. Thank you. ^_^ Will pass the video along. :3

Another thing to keep in mind everybody if you’re looking for a tornado, cyclonic rotation is indicated by the green being to the left from the perspective of the radar. You can have red and green together because of divergence, convergence, ect. But if you see red on the right and green on the left from the perspective of the radar that indicates cyclonic rotation and a probable tornado. Good luck everybody! Be safe!

Already know some on radar, but watched anyway. .lol. This certainly would be a good vid for beginners.
I don't do Radarscope, but with exception of that little inspector thing, all the rest still applies to any app.
Maybe a suggestion for a future vid could be more advanced radar features like: correlation coefficient & vertically integrated liquid
Since those can be helpful when looking at storms for a possible tornado or hail

Radarscope has more than other apps, not just inspector. I love the storm warnings, pings, and keyboard shortcuts. Very well built. It sucks tier 2 pro is not on windows. Im gonna call DTN and see when will be released

@@dantradingalerts1292 I use wX because its free (and open source, plus no ads or any of that other malware bs either. .lol.)
Unfortunately there is no windows version of it.
Also you can get an 'Android emulator' that'll run most Android apps on windows .. I've looked at a couple, but just don't know what is a good one. Like so much out there allot of them are malware(spyware).

Edgar: Thanks for these 101 vids. Just bought Radarscope + a Pro subscription for my iPad. We're going to be crossing Texas and OK on I-40 and I don't want to do it blind. I've watched a lot of radar vids, and I'm looking forward to using it in the field. One note: Here you make reference to dbz and the inspector tool as though you had already covered those features in the earlier vid, but you didn't actually explain them there.

How can I change the velocity on radar scope app to mph

Thanks for the video. I use to study radars years ago, but the radar I use to watch would post where a tornado watch/ warning already is, I didn't live in a prone area so I didn't study tornado on radar.
Anyways, I forget the name of that app. And they changed the format due to Dutchsince being a total jerk to the company and yelling at the wrong people in the industry, also pissing off military. It use to be we could easily see where HARRP attacks were occuring. One of the best alerts to be prepared ahead of time if your area is under attack.

Well, I'd quite enjoy it if you care to take your time to post beyond basic info on tornadoes etc in radar.
