Ouch! My foot hurt just hearing your story! What wonderful pictures of you and hubby! Not many can fit in their wedding dress 27 years later! Congratulations!
Hi Sheila. I love that you’re accepting of the hawks and eagles preying on your chickens. Raptors have a special place in my heart. All your finishes snd WIPs are lovely. Hope your foot heals quickly. Happy stitching.
They have a special place in mine too. Being on a farm you get really use to the circle of life and nature is beautiful yet can be very harsh at the same time.
All of your lovely stitching is so beautiful… thank you for sharing…continue with your healthy healing… as i listened to you describe the ‘rusty nail ‘ puncture… i actually sensed the pain… had a similar experience as a kid 😱… enjoyed your loving reflection about you and hubby… beautiful 🥰
I’ve been really enjoying watching your channel, Sheila I love your choice of patterns! I also have to say you look as beautiful in your newest wedding wedding pictures as you did from the very first ones! Not many people can say that - and - fit into their wedding dress!
Shelia...all of your finishes and whips are just lovely...hope your foot is doing better...nails and bees...were the bain of my childhood...your HATS pattern is lovely...one of the very light pink silks should be able to show up on any pink fabric you select...beautiful wedding pictures...best wishes and happy stitching ❤
Wow Sheila your life is never boring! Love your sense of humor and your stories. I feel your pain with the nail accident… we did that so often as kids… scouring new building sites for cast of things to go build our summer “fort”. Love your stitching! You are fast! Also love the remake of wedding photos! You guys have hardly changed! Your French start is fitting of your show content.. it seems to be an Anniversary gift to parents from Anais at 12 ans(years of age) The words are her wish to her parents. “Long life and happiness dear parents is my wish for you.” So it looks like you are doing 2 Anniversary pieces!
Congratulations on 27 years with your husband. It's so good to hear you say so many wonderful things about him. You're incredibly blessed to still fit into your wedding gown. The wedding and 20 year pics were so fun to see. Stepping on the nail sounds so painful. I'm glad you're healing up. I couldn't imagine! My brother used to hang out on vacant lots with friends in his early teens where he managed to step on nails on two separate occurrences! So good to see your projects. You're a delight.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Those dang nails are nasty little things! Thankfully we have antibiotics and tetanus shots cuz if it was 100 years ago I could have been a goner!🫣
So sorry to hear about your foot accident…OUCH!!! Glad you’re on the mend. Beautiful stitching as always. But oh, that pink sampler is so you!!! Now to search for that just right fabric. You might have to dye your own on the fabric you get at Joann’s. Great 4th of July start you decided on..wonder who that person was😂😊I love my finished piece. Enjoy!!!
I'm so sorry about your accidents. I'm glad you are doing better. Your butterfly looks great in the pink. I would have left it too. Love all your stitching.
Sheila, so sorry to hear about the accident with the rusty nail. So glad you are healing. I believe you are referring to the calendar cubby that is sold by Paisleys and Polkadots. I know she had sold out of them a while ago, but they may be back in her shop. Those finishes would look adorable in there
Hi Sheila, so sorry to hear about your injury but glad you’re doing better! I think the thing you were asking about is called the Seasonal Calendar Cubby from Paisleys and Polka Dots, I hope that helps. I really enjoy your videos and love seeing your projects. Have a blessed day!
"I had to bust into my oxy stash." I was not prepared to hear those words from the sweet farm lady on FlossTube! Stop...Rewind...Stop...Rewind... Your stitching is lovely, but your stories are the best!
I enjoyed seeing your video. You are working on some very lovely cross stitch. I saw several I would like to buy, too. I hope you have a great 4th of July and hope to see you soon.
Hi Sheila, thanks for posting. I enjoy your channel so much for your sincerity and funny stories. Congratulations on your anniversary, it's great to have a spouse that you can laugh with. Your project are amassing. I look forward to your next video. Can no suggest any pinks or how to work with silk since I am in the same boat. I enjoy the 100 3's and found a way to keep those. Happy stitching 😺
Hi Sheila... just love your videos! You and your guy are just adorable... you look exactly the same as the day you were married! Thank you for sharing your photos with us. I'm very excited to see your start on Elizabeth Weston. I love the Soie D'alger on 40 count. I like to flossdrop mine and then pull a strand. Maybe not the kindest thing to do to your silks but I know if I have to fiddle around with bags or bobbins I will not stitch that project. Yes it can get fuzzy sometimes but I keep the strands shorter and when all is said and done and it's hanging up on my wall I do not notice anything other than the design. Hope that gives you some help... Happy stitching!🌻🌻🌻
Thanks for the tip! I am also the same if I have to deal this too much fussing when trying to stitch. If anything I might flossdrop them and put in a bag so they don’t rub too much? I know it is a huge sampler so it will take awhile. Thank you so much for watching! I am loving your videos too, so many beautiful samplers I want to stitch too🥰
Beautiful stitching! I started Elizabeth Weston on 38 ct Filbert. It’s got a pink hue but it’s not pink. The model was stitched on a cream color but I wanted the creams in the sampler to pop so went with the darker fabric. For her I have my silks in floss away bags because I knew it would take me a years to complete and I didn’t want them to get messed up. One hint is to not use long lengths of silk. I cut mine to about 16”. That keeps them from getting unruly. I think I have some photos on my IG of how it looks. That French saying is weird. It’s something like Live long, be happy with good parents. These are my wishes. At least that’s how I would read it. Someone might do a better job than me. My French is rusty!
Ouch! Sorry to hear about your accident, hope its healing well! The Butterfly finish is so pretty, I would leave that color, it looks great. More nice finishes. You have some beautiful projects going on. Marilyn
Hi Sheila, sorry to hear about your foot. Hope everything is better. Judy wondering into have any flooding issues on the crow river. The crow river runs through our town but we have even good but down river in Delano they’ve had some flooding. Just hoping you are high and dry.
Our basement has been flooded which happens occasionally in the spring after a quick melt, but this is the first time so much rain has been an issue in the 8 years we have been here. We have an old farm home with drain tile and just a concrete basement so it is typical of flooding, probably should install a sub pump but that would require a lot of foundation work
Sheila! Greetings from Dallas! So sorry to hear about your heel! Yikes! Loved seeing all your projects and the side by side wedding photos! The two of you really haven’t changed much! I just finished a piece with Soie d’Alger silks. I treated them just like DMC. I cut them to useable lengths and put them on acrylic floss drops. They’re just fine. And yes, you use them like DMC in that you pull one strand out and stitch with it. I really enjoyed working with them and it was fun “petting” them when they were all together on the drops. So soft! LOL!!! Thanks so much!!
Omg your foot! Hope you’re doing well and it’s healing up okay. Love all your projects ❤ beautiful stitching. I love how honest and funny you are. “Sometimes you’re in the season you want to strangle” LOL! 😂 😂❤
It is always so great seeing you again. I'm sorry you had that happen to your heel. I hope it is better. Your stitching is so beautiful!! I love your stories! Your wedding pictures were terrific...You look so cute together. ❤ I believe that linen that was LL is Lakeside Linen. I'm looking forward to your next video. Thanks!!!
I hope your heel is feeling much better. So sorry that happened. Nice finishes! You're not the only one who doesn't want to stitch on what a lot of other people are stitching on. I've heard other Flosstubers say that too. I am somewhat the same. Right now my favorite color is purple. I'm really drawn to the purples that are sort of "electric" along with some strong magentas. I'm gathering any floss with those tones and will be stitching a couple projects with them. It's just something different. You could have fun with your pinks. Color is so much fun to play with.
So sweet seeing you today . I was looking forward to your video and you are my favorite. Enjoy seeing all your beautiful stitching and your lovely stories ❤ Quick recovery to your foot and looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you ❤
Yes it is, however I just looked and they are sold out right now. It’s called Seasonal Calendar Cubby. Hopefully they will make more. Seems very popular.
Hi Sheila. I love all your stitching and stuff today. Also, I love your earrings - where did you get them? I myself am a self-taught snob when it comes to stitching. Did you ever recover the kittens?
I believe I bought the earrings at Walmart a couple years ago. I seem to always score cute earring at good ole Wally World!😜 yes I did find the kitties they were raising under that platform 😺
Sorry about your mishap. When we were young on the farm, going barefoot, stepping on rusty nails was not unheard of. Mom would beat-up egg whites to put it on the puncture to pull out the poison. Did you find the baby kitties? I enjoy your videos.
Can you reach out to Hands across the Sea to get an indication of colors for the fabric? Maybe if this was stitched as a model they could provide some help. Just a thought.
40 count picture of this plus truffle. Would be a good choice. I’m assuming you want to do it on 40. I’m currently doing a model stitch for my girlfriend. She has a ETSY shop and she’s trying to break into the ONS LNS market. plus she’s on the waitlist for a room at Nashville market.
Ouch!! I hate that happened to you, sounds so painful! How are the kittens though? I also have bought that linen at Joann's. I went to a local stitch group last week and a lady was like, 'oh, this isn't really what people stitch but if it's working for you....' i wanted to see if I liked and could stitch on linen before I invested in some. I love it! And I like this linen too... I'll keep buying it. Do you have the light pink one? I really like that one but it's got a different feel than this beige one. I also bought some green but I haven't been able to figure out how to stitch on it yet!😂 Congrats on 27 years!!
I have only tried the white, natural and gold so far. My Joann’s is small and doesn’t carry all the colors. I did find the kittens they were hiding under the platform😺 so glad that linen is working for you.
Ouch! My foot hurt just hearing your story!
What wonderful pictures of you and hubby! Not many can fit in their wedding dress 27 years later! Congratulations!
Thank you so much!😍 farmlife does help me stay active, so much to do!

The fabric you used for hawk run hollow is beautiful! 💓
Thank you! 😊
I’ve been really enjoying watching your channel, Sheila I love your choice of patterns! I also have to say you look as beautiful in your newest wedding wedding pictures as you did from the very first ones! Not many people can say that - and - fit into their wedding dress!

Thank you! Foot is all back to normal, but man that was a painful recovery😬
So glad your heel is better. Happy belated anniversary. Finish it as a pillow ( Float like a butterfly). Thank you for sharing your stitching.
Thank you so much!🥰
Goodness, so sorry about your foot. Meadow Rue is Lakeside Linens…it’s gold!
Thank you! It is a pretty color, but finding out it is not easy to get😬
Wow Sheila your life is never boring! Love your sense of humor and your stories. I feel your pain with the nail accident… we did that so often as kids… scouring new building sites for cast of things to go build our summer “fort”. Love your stitching! You are fast! Also love the remake of wedding photos! You guys have hardly changed! Your French start is fitting of your show content.. it seems to be an Anniversary gift to parents from Anais at 12 ans(years of age)
The words are her wish to her parents. “Long life and happiness dear parents is my wish for you.”
So it looks like you are doing 2 Anniversary pieces!
Interesting! That is so sweet she made it for her parents ❤️ thank you for watching and so glad you enjoy my stories😂

I wonder who that sweet person was too??😜❤️ miss seeing you at stitch group!
I'm so sorry about your accidents. I'm glad you are doing better. Your butterfly looks great in the pink. I would have left it too. Love all your stitching.
Thank you! I guess I’m more accident prone than I think! Or at least when I have one I make a big splash😂
Sheila, so sorry to hear about the accident with the rusty nail. So glad you are healing. I believe you are referring to the calendar cubby that is sold by Paisleys and Polkadots. I know she had sold out of them a while ago, but they may be back in her shop. Those finishes would look adorable in there
Thanks, I’ll have to stalk her website and wait for them to come back in stock. I think the size will be perfect if I’m measuring correctly.

I love your wedding photos. Your projects are always so great! I am sorry to hear about your foot and hope that it is on the mend!
Thank you so much!❤️
Hi Shelia! Your stitching and crafting is beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
Thank you! You too!❤️
"I had to bust into my oxy stash."
I was not prepared to hear those words from the sweet farm lady on FlossTube!
Stop...Rewind...Stop...Rewind...
Your stitching is lovely, but your stories are the best!
Ha! Doesn’t everyone have an oxy stash?😂a girl has gotta do to survive 😜
I enjoyed seeing your video. You are working on some very lovely cross stitch. I saw several I would like to buy, too. I hope you have a great 4th of July and hope to see you soon.
Thank you and have a wonderful 4th also❤️

I think the butterfly frame looks charming on its side!🦋
I’ll give it a go and see how it looks!

Thank you Marilyn!🥰
Missed you! So glad you're healing well. Beautiful starts!

Omg your foot! Hope you’re doing well and it’s healing up okay. Love all your projects ❤ beautiful stitching. I love how honest and funny you are. “Sometimes you’re in the season you want to strangle” LOL! 😂 😂❤
Gotta love those different seasons!🤪 it isn’t always rainbows and sunshine and that is ok. Thanks for watching
I like frame for butterfly
The butterfly/moth sampler is lovely. Definitely keep the pink in there.
Thank you! Yep not going to frog it ☺️
It is always so great seeing you again. I'm sorry you had that happen to your heel. I hope it is better. Your stitching is so beautiful!! I love your stories! Your wedding pictures were terrific...You look so cute together. ❤ I believe that linen that was LL is Lakeside Linen. I'm looking forward to your next video. Thanks!!!
Thank you! Yes, lakeside must be the linen I knew someone would know🥰
I love watching your videos. You do such wonderful work. Take care of your foot Sista! Thank you for sharing your stitching.
Thank you so much!😍

Isn’t it interesting how certain colors will speak to us at different times? I use to not like green and now I love all greens!
Yes, it's crazy how color preferences change. I'm drawn to green DMC 703 or 704 but then the purples grab my attention. @@TheCrowRiverStitcher
So sweet seeing you today .
I was looking forward to your video and you are my favorite.
Enjoy seeing all your beautiful stitching and your lovely stories ❤
Quick recovery to your foot and looking forward to seeing you soon.
Thank you ❤
Thank you so much!🥰
😊 Enjoy your videos always. Thanks for an enjoyable visit. 😊
So glad you are here🥰
Love the color of the butterfly. Perfect. Dare to be different!❤
Thank you! Happy mistake😂
Oh my goodness. I hope your foot heals quickly. That's awful. I love your finished cardinal though. ❤ Happy to see you today.
Thank you so much!
Seasonal Calendar Cubby from Paisley and Polka Dots. I love all of your finishes! Use the butterfly frame. So pretty.
Thank you!🥰❤️
I think the calendar is from Paisley & Polkadots
Yes it is, however I just looked and they are sold out right now. It’s called Seasonal Calendar Cubby. Hopefully they will make more. Seems very popular.
They said they are planning a restock of it, so I’ll just keep stalking them😂
Thank you 😍
Your teresa pieces are looking beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much!🥰
Hi!! If you use the new butterfly frame, just sit it on an easel!
That would be a good idea as to not mess up the back.
Just ordered one of your bags on Etsy, can’t wait to get it
Yay! Thank you🥰 I hope you love it
Silks are the only floss I put in flossaway bags. I wanted to keep them from snagging on things if I put them on floss drops and a ring.
Good to know, I am hard on my supplies so I might have to get those bags since this project will take a long time!
Make it a pillow 😊
Thanks for the encouragement
I'm sorry to hear about your foot and am glad that you're okay! I don't think you said though - did you ever find the mama cat and her babies?
Thank you, yes I did find them safe and sound they were hiding under that platform😺
I didn't see your bags. I went looking.
They did sell quickly, I am always posting more as I create them so if you follow my shop you will get notified right away.
Sorry about your mishap. When we were young on the farm, going barefoot, stepping on rusty nails was not unheard of. Mom would beat-up egg whites to put it on the puncture to pull out the poison. Did you find the baby kitties? I enjoy your videos.
I love hearing about the olde remedies of past! Yes, I found the little stinkers! They were under the wood platform
Can you reach out to Hands across the Sea to get an indication of colors for the fabric? Maybe if this was stitched as a model they could provide some help. Just a thought.
Great idea! 🥰

Message handmade by Sarahw. She has one of the calendar boxes
Thank you, I couldn’t remember who had it!
I also bought some green but I haven't been able to figure out how to stitch on it yet!😂
Congrats on 27 years!!
And...I love that frame for your butterfly piece. I'd shot goodwill for a basket that would fit it and stand horizontal.
I have only tried the white, natural and gold so far. My Joann’s is small and doesn’t carry all the colors. I did find the kittens they were hiding under the platform😺 so glad that linen is working for you.
That is a great idea!😍
❤❤❤
You use a stand?
90 percent of the time I don’t, but I do have a lap stand I like when I pull out my full coverage.
Sorry to hear about your accident. Don’t use that frame. It’s too pretty to rip up! A pillow would be nice.
The more I look at it I agree, a pillow is in my future
