- Great chat, Phyllis is so humble and charming, and Rodigan has an obvious admiration for her. She’s definitely not a star, which is refreshing for someone who recorded so much great music during the prime rocksteady/early reggae era.
Note: I tried to post this before with the music but was blocked due to copyright, so I’ve faded out the tracks and kept the interview. A real shame, as the music adds so much. So it go, enjoy still.
The most underrated singer of all time. Love you Phyllis ❤️🇯🇲
Amazing speaking voice also and as close to perfection as you can get.
Yes Very True the show was Alton Ellis reggae gala, she was backed by the mighty original Ruiff cutt band from UK. was her first show for 18yrs and she had never been to UK. Sir David Rodigan, God Bless you my English loving brother. As a music loving Jamaican person, I definitely rate you as a very special reggae genius, a master of rub a dub music. I wish you excellent health, strength and vigor. Blessings to your relatives, family and all your friends. Thanks for this exclusive interview, Mr. Intelligent. Bravo. In addition, thanks Soul Shake Reggae for this peach of an interview upload, which is very clear and exclusive indeed.
