i see KSE as comfort food. You know what you getting. You either like it or you dont. I have stopped listening to bands because they changed too much for the worst so its nice that I know my head will be banging with that new KSE song
definitely the vibe i got. definitely took me down the rabbit hole of listening to their older songs. The memories it brought back. but yeaah KSE does what their fans like and im actually ok with that.
I definitely understand that it may not be the most groundbreaking song they've made but given this is their 1st song in 5 yrs, it makes sense that they'd wanna remind fans that they can make a song that's simple and bare bones. Besides, this to me is an effective single and I guarantee this would sound amazing live.
Look I'm from Boston so I grew up listening to KE...All that remains...shadows Fall....great bands......not their best effort but good to hear them again.....
I get that these guys are seen as "cookie cutter" but to me, they do it well. They don't pretend to be anything they're not. I get the hate, I truly do. But I'll always have a soft spot for these dudes. Awesome humans too. Rock on gents!
It's the same thing as with Shadows Fall. This is another band with a pretty long hiatus and I feel like it's a safe, to the point first single. Then again, All That Remains was gone for the same amount of time and their first comeback single Divine is crazy good in comparison.
I think the song is alright. As a huge Killswitch Engage fan, I find myself agreeing with TV Fish, the song sounds disjointed to me. It is not horrible, but not as dynamic as other Killswitch songs. That being said, I am still excited about the new album and hope to see them live next year.
It's killswitch engage when I first heard it i thought it's cool but wasn't really anything extraordinary i personally dig kse and will buy the album when its out. Killswitch is killswitch if that makes sense standard stuff. Just wondering what king diamond t-shirt are you rocking in this video speaking of king diamond will we ever got the institute album 🤘
@@TwoToeTags that's cool mate yeah I heard there was 3 parts to the institute but when will they be released typical king releasing hey at least we have mascrade of madness Which has been around for what seems like forever. I remember growing up it was hard to keep up with king diamond and mercyfull fate releases literally it was one album under is own name then bang a mercyfull fate album was released or visa versa. Going back to the killswitch thing it was the track signal fire from there last album atonement that featured current original singer Jesse leech with Howard Jones singer from as daylight dies / the end of heartache and self titled album number 2 or kse 2 has it's sometimes referred to. A interesting fact is scour Gold under nuclear blast and killswitch engage this consequence under metal blade records is both out on the same day February 21st 2025 i will probably buy both album's to be fair i like to physically own my favourite metal group's albums has well has streaming/downloading digitally 🤘
They said they took so long so they could come back with something memorable something different then release the exact same thing as always..having said that I like it..has a little serpentine dominion in it at the start before going typical Killswitch..but im expecting a lot better from the album
Agree completely, i definitely loved the main riff but it does sound like a forced chorus from another song on it. Its another okay kse song, they need some howard jones to make some hits.
It’s a good song. They are nice dudes too. I think your music audio is bleeding into your commentary audio. That said, I went back to listen to the original and didn’t like the mix. It’s a bit raw and not as polished as previous releases. The bass guitar is really up front in some parts and has a different tone. I also didn’t like the vocal effects.
Love this song much! Pumped for new Killswitch! Lets Go!!
Killswitch are my favorite band of all time! This song was a banger imo, but to each their own. Keep making solid reactions, guys!
i see KSE as comfort food. You know what you getting. You either like it or you dont. I have stopped listening to bands because they changed too much for the worst so its nice that I know my head will be banging with that new KSE song
It's obviously not their best song ever but I think it's pretty good. It reminds me of oldschool KSE before the Howard era
definitely the vibe i got. definitely took me down the rabbit hole of listening to their older songs. The memories it brought back. but yeaah KSE does what their fans like and im actually ok with that.
Loving it bros!!

guess im in the minority here. but i love it...but i also may be a bit biased. KSE helped me a lot through middle school and especially high school.

Regards From Poland!🤘
Kse makes me feel alive again
I love it

@hel-vd8dc Got the King Diamond shirt from his current tour. At the show he said there are at least 3 more King Diamond albums coming.

Those vocal melodies and the chorus production are too pop. Not my thing. There’s some good parts and it’s catchy, but just not KsE to me.

So mediocre. Kept waiting for a cool bridge or outro, but just the chorus over and over.
I wanted a badass solo. This is ok.
very lackluster song. imho very formulaic.
Welcome to metalcore buddy lol
It bores me that is all
