Great bottles this trip, but my favorite was the clay pipe with the harp.

The polder is washing away! It looks like a city being inundated by a great flood!

Walking amongst those larger rocks must be precarious. Considering one bad step and you could sprain an ankle or worse 😳
The many interesting finds with the stoneware, glass, marbles, pewter and other misc made for a good lark for you and fun video for us to watch 😊

Some walnut trees have settled on a very unfriendly part of the foreshore and I would love to have an offspring of these trees. Next year then?

@ I have a very large English walnut tree next door by the fence. It kills anything I plant with its falling leaves and shade. The squirrels may be planting the nuts which I have to watch to discourage baby walnuts. The tree has been cut down or blown over three times in the last Fifty(!) years and come back stronger. If it were mine I’d cut it to the ground, drill in stump poison and hope it would stay down until I no longer need the house 👵🏻😄

So when the tide comes in do all those discarded batteries cause dangerous currents? 🤦🏻‍♂️😆
The brass strap thingy looks like something I've seen to hold loose tiles on a roof, or possibly a tie strap used in bricklaying, not sure tho.
    Thanks MB, much appreciated!

Alert Van Putten settled in Hoboken, NJ. It was the home of Leni Lenape Indian. Place of first baseball game and home of Frank Sinatra. Love to see the enamelware on the foreshore. Coke Cola company switched to aluminum cans but the bottles are collectible. Finding pipes are so popular. Watch Nicola and Simon! Had to put collecting the English and Black walnuts because of heavy rain and wind. Listening to the hard impact sound a walnut makes, one thinks better to collect on another day. The squirrel who comes to visit thinks he has found a pocket of gold as he surveys the many bushels of nuts I've already salvaged. English walnuts are almost $5 for 8 ounces. Am not selling but feeding the Stellar jays, juncos, chickadees and squirrels. Be safe--love seeing the pottery shards and tiles, too.
